Hello all, would i be able to use the international HTC One X+ on AT&T in the US with no issues?
I would assume so. I use the International One X on AT&T in the US right now and the radios on the One X+ are supposed to be the same. In fact, I'm waiting on my UK One X+ to arrive so I can drop my AT&T SIM card in it and get rocking.

I don't think it will have support for LTE though
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
No, it won't have LTE support but it will have HPSA+ support and it'll be carrier unlocked so it all depends on what you want out of your One X+.
Talking tap from this here brainy fone
I am thinking about getting the AT&T HTC One X+. I was originally going to pick a Nexus 4, but i don't want to wait over a month to get a phone. So, I am wondering if the One X+ for AT&T has a locked bootloader, and if it can be un-locked. I never used HTC sense 4 before, but i am an AOSP guy. I assume it is locked, since the One X(original) for AT&T was locked. But can anyone confirm this?
It is locked but HTC very easily lets you unlock it. Htcdev.com

Incorrect. At$t can keep htcdev.com from unlocking that phone real fast. I waited 2 months for someone to fix that problem on my att one x

Yes, but the AT&T version of the One X+. I am sure AT&T has locked it down, they do it with most of their new phones.

I have the AT&T version on the One X+, I got it in the mail yesterday. HTCDEV.com works on the AT&T One X+, can that change in the future? who knows. But as of right now I have an AT&T One X+ in my pocket that has an unlocked bootloader

Did you use the same method that was used to bootloader unlock the original one x? Also do the international roms work with the AT&T version?

I followed the normal procedure that I used for the One X and that is shown on the HTCDEV.com website. I dont think there are any roms for the AT&T version right now nor a root procedure.

I smell a sweet **** smell.
You cannot unlock an att one x on htc Dev.
Part of the bootloader unlocking procedure for an att one x involves spoofing the Cid so that htc Dev will allow you to unlock the bootloader. So, to reiterate, you CANNOT unlock an att one x on htcdev.com
So, how does the "normal unlocking procedure" on an att branded one x go?
I know on the original att one x with duel core S4 required the Cid spoofing. But are you sure that's needed for the new one X+ that has the Tegra

Yes, my comments appear to be brash. But I was not actually speaking to him. I was casting a shadow of a doubt upon his claims, so that the untold masses would not take what he said as truth, go out and perform some function on their brand new (att branded) one x+, only to find out they now have an expensive paper weight.
If you don't believe that happens, try this link:forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=101043188
So did I step on his toes? Maybe, but this isn't Facebook. I'm not here for "social skills" development.

Those threads were for the att one x from people flashing the wrong Rom.... If you simply tried HTC dev with a normal non super cid phone it would give you an error because infact att has HTC block that cid.... Now as the nice gentlemen(not you) posted on the first page that att is letting people unlock the one x plus well see how long that goes for.... With the roms I'm sure they'll be a root version soon and the devs will probably have aroma options to choose what phone you have and maybe flash a different radio according to the chipset of lte or hspa....you flamed someone for a question I was wondering too...have a nice day buddy
Maybe someone else will be able to back up my claims soon.

That hasn't been my experience with them. I just got an unlock code for my old HTC Aria when I got the One X. Just went to their website and used the support chat feature. Now if your phone is subsidized you may have trouble.

I wonder if that was the issue. Because I always have been under contract when trying. Thanks for the heads up.

You might try calling them and telling them you are planning a trip outside the country and need to SIM unlock so you can use a prepaid SIM. That has worked for others in the past.
Good luck!
I SIM unlock phones and they aren't free. I buy and resell the codes. Shoot me your IMEI number, the country and carrier it is locked to in a PM. I'll see if it can be unlocked. If it can be, it will be a bit pricey since they just released a new service for HTC phones.
Need to unlock!!

Talk to hasoon, he should be able to help
I think the main reason you can't unlock your phone is that ATT won't let you unlock it when your using the phone while your on a plan. When you upgrade to a new phone or change phones then you can unlock your old one. Source: experience

Hasoon is a great guy and I'v talked to him.
Unfortunately, he cant help.
I talked to AT&T international (1-800-335-4685). I'v heard they are pretty relaxed about unlocking phones.
Also, I bought mine at the no-commitment price.
The rep on the phone agreed to unlock my X+ and asked for my IMEI#. But after he put it into the system, he said AT&T can't unlock it till May 16th 2013.
I'v heard AT&T tends to do this when it has an exclusive phone.
But this might just be me. You guys should try this and see if it works.
Still no luck ...anyone ?

Hello everybody,
I am thinking of buying a brand new never used One X+ locked to AT&T and bring it down to Uruguay.
Couple of questions:
1) Does anybody know if the device needs to be activated first with an AT&T SIM before I can do anything with it (for example SIM unlocking it)?
2) Are SIM unlock codes for AT&T network for this device easy to find (assuming I am OK in paying a couple of dollars for it)?
3) Which is the best place to get the unlock code?
Thank you all for your help.
It may not be that easy to unlock it.
No it doesn't need to be activated first but since here in the US its now illegal to unlock your phone they may make it more difficult to find unlock codes for their phones

Probably not, if you got to a reputable site they will refund your money if the code doesn't work or if they don't have one for your device

Tempting, that's a lot of money tho.
There isn't much need for s-off, id only use it to change the splash screen and flash kernels in recovery
Although, if it was that easy then someone should start an s-off service I'd pay $50 to s-off my phone

Sony unlockers can use SETool over a network using teamviewer to unlock the bootloader, on Sony devices. but we tried to S-Off a One X and a sensation XL, The HOX was connected to the PC with the SETool box and that worked fine, but my SXL which was connected via a network got all sorts of errors while trying to execute the exploit. Seems you cant S-off HTC devices over networks with SETool.
