[Q] SAMSUNG Galaxy S2 Audio Quality/NFC? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Can someone help me.
1. I want to know what is the audio quality from the earphones like? Has anyone used a Sony Xperia S, Sola device and can you compare the audio quality?
2. Is the speaker loud for phone calls and music. Is it a mono or stereo speaker?
3. I am thinking of getting Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile (UK). Will this have NFC?

Yes, the audio quality is good, but not the way its in Xperia s or Sola, but u can enhance it using some Mod's for sure

The speaker loud for phone calls and music are pretty good, ofcourse its a mono speaker for u
3. I am thinking of getting Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile (UK). Will this have NFC?
AFAIK only the I9100P (on Orange) does have NFC chip embedded in it

no, the 2011 Support the so Called "iPhone-Standart" - so you can use every headphone that works on iPhone, HTC usw...
If the headphone is designed for iPhone, e.g. with microphone and volume controls, then you may have trouble with it working. The solution has been to hold the volume control (+/-) while inserting into the jack. Microphone probably won't work and volume controls may/may not work, but sound should work.

make the z2 louder ?

hello...
ive noticed the z2 to be a bit on the quite side (both loudspeaker and headset) while playin music...
is there some kind of mod that perhaps make it a bit more audible (like samsung's mod that is available here in the forums)?
this issue is breaking the deal with me buying this phone...otherwire its a great phone !
so far the things that I have read on these forums that work well to make it louder are:
1) Turn on Dynamic normalizer in the sound settings
2) Go into sound enhancements and set all the equalizer sliders to 10
3) Proceed to the "settings" next to the equalizer and turn on xLoud and (personal taste) turn on S-force Surround
Clear phase lowers the volume although it does make it cleaner.
Which device are you coming from? Its the second loudest device there is, right after the M8!
No other device has dual front facing stereo speakers.

There's a new mod in the development forum which enables dual speakers for ringtones and loud speaker on calls. I think the guy is also making tweaks for volume.

whoa...thanks !!
You can turn off Clear Audio as well to make it louder but the sound quality will go down. Just toggle it when you're listening to music or videos.

There's this:
PHP:

It only has headphone boost. The speaker boost is coming soon. It also fixes the issue with some apps using only one speaker.

[Q] Note 3 compatible earphones with fully functional volume controls!

So there it is. The majority of the headphones are made for Apple. No fully functional remote control with Samsung phones. Thanks to Apple, again.
Is there a well known list of quality in ear monitors with 100% Samsung (Note 3) compatibility?
I'm using Sony Ericsson MW-600 for few years now. I've used them on my galaxy S2 then S3 and now on my note 3.
They feature:
One of the best quality audio performance
Microphone and call answer key
Multipoint Bluetooth and A2DP for wireless music streaming
Compatible with Sony Ericsson handsets and other bluetooth-enabled handsets
3.5mm jack to swap headphone
I hope I helped.

Bluetooth only.
AKG Y23U.
- ultra small and light
- brilliant sound (5.8mm drivers)
- remote button with microphone for call answering, pauze/resume, and double click for next/triple click for previous track. Also works as shutterbutton if an app has the setting.
- clear microphone sound
- 3.5mm audio jack pin.

[Q] in call quality??

hi there,
i have recently purchased a Z2 LTE and i have noticed during a call the sound is not clear like when you are using a cheap headphone listening to base on high volume and you hear that BUZZ from the headphones.
i am currently on android 5.0.2
i have tried using viber and the sound was way better than the regular call.
anyone have an answer for that or is this normal for sony phones, i have had a Samsung S3 before and the sound was excellent.
appreciate your help
