Since many were having problems making their own mods or were confused about versions and builds, here is a simple solution to transform your CM7 into Jellybean look-alike with Jellybean style notification bar, transition animations and settings. It works with all CM7 builds (maniac, Quarx (official), Fuzz and Epsylon3).

This patcher includes all of the mods mentioned in my JBMakeOver thread in an easy to use one-click patcher for windows. Just extract and run patcher.exe and follow on-screen instruction. It'll also make an undo.zip along with the mod so it's safe to fiddle around with

Tried to copy the files again, the aps are deodexed, downloaded the newest apktool and it always shows the same error... maybe there is a problem with my rom?

I've got the most strangest problem I've ever seen.
I wanted to add the super circle batterymod
First I tried the kitchen a while ago it ended up giving me this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
It's nice works fine BUT the opacity of the unlock slider is wrong.
So I tried decompiling and recompling the apk using apktool. But that didn't work.
Then I started reading and I found out that you can open the apk using 7zip. add the needed files and folders and it should be fine so that's what I did.
Then I pushed it with use of adb
Guess that's still fine no?
BUT I ended up with this:
Most suprising thing: IT WORKS even bleutooth icons. just the battery indicator stays like that.
I know the battery indicator is hdpi but the flashable zip worked fine.
EDIT: Found what I was doing wrong. I used the framework from b26 and since they both are exactly the same size I assumed they were the same. Looks like I was wrong
Now the batteryicon is still not showing
Do I need to rename the drawable-hdpi-v4or something??
Thanks in advance

Can you explain me how you did it? Used the kitchen?
Cause I would like to tweak some more stuff in my framework and not only the batterymod.
I'll try your zip I'll post how it went.
Dno why you really want me to flash it with the zip, pushing the apk would be the same thing no?
EDIT: Same thing FC's and reboot with flash and push same thing 2ce.
I believe you got it from the kitchen no? same opacity bug is still there.
But im using it now in b41 no fc

yeah but still the opacity bug no? I'm using B40 that's probably why it doesn't work.
I don't understand - what is a problem? just go to this kitchen http://circle.glx.nl/, build your battery, put your (!!!) framework.apk and... done! I used this kitchen to build my own battery on rooted sense, azure and now I'm using 46 build!

Problem is the opacity bug posted in first post.
Your lockslider's opacity doesn't change when you press it, that's why it looks like it has 2 different opacities. You don't have that on sense but you do have it on the eclaire/froyo lockscreen
look at this:
JonasDroid, as I understood from what fizic says, he had tried on Azure and nightly builds (he's on 46 now right?) so not only on "sense". And he says it is OK.
I've used also the kitchen to have this mod on my Legend, unfortunately I didn't know how to provide/extract the framework_res.apk so I've used one from their database (they had something from build 42). I got the same as you, opacity of the slider not correct. My assumption was that occurred due to a different framework_res.apk file (I'm using 43 build)
Finally I have the same issue as you but I'm not so bothered about it. It's not perfect but I can live with that. I prefer more to have the circle battery than to have the opacity of the slider perfectly drawn.

It's easy. Jus open your ROM's zip file, go to the folder "System\framework", and find out framework-res.apk
Extract this file and on the last step of the "cooking" provide the kitchen with it. After 5-10 min the kitchen will provide you with ready to flash zip file which would be built exactly on your statusbar!
Ok let me get this straight.
I know I can use the kitchen, I did it in the past. It works great but it has the opacity bug. I can live with it BUT I would like to learn how the framework compiling works and this looks like a great opportunity to solve that issue while trying to understand the compiling.
If you're still having the issue could you upload your frameres for me to look at?
Here is the latest framework-res.apk
I've had a PM from blayo telling me I needed to put the png's into drawable-mdpi and the xmls in drawable
Did that with apktool -> bootloop, tried it with 7zip -> no battery indicator showing.
Hey guys, I have been looking around for some time. Is there anyway we can get the settings splash page colored like the Galaxy phones? The plain white is just disgusting in my opinion. I don't know how hard it would be but sure would be nice to have.
I second that notion.
In fact, i'm surprised that there are no "themes" that i can apply to my photon as well.
Coming from EVO 4g and EVO 3d, i would think all phones have this option.
Anyone know how hard this would be or where to start if I wanted to do it myself?
Probably the settings apk need to decompile it replace pngs and recompile
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
[email protected] is right you can decompile that apk and change the png files. If you are wanting the background behind the labels changed that would either be framework-res.apk or SystemUI.apk. Not sure which but....
If you are running a custom rom like Alien or Star Wars those are deodexed and Metamorph should work. If the P-Roms are deodexed then it should work too but idk if they are or not. I plan on trying to theme some this weekend if I figure anything out I'll pass it along.
If you aren't sure what Metamorph is search it in the Market and in Google that will hold your answers :-D
Good luck

Just wanted to give a shout-out for using my sniper boot image in your signature!! Thanks for the support!!
SimpleOdexerThis is not a tool for odexing the whole ROM.
If you want to odex the whole ROM then see this thread by puppet13th.
Hi,
While working on ROMs with odex file system you may want to edit the deodexed app, reodex it and use it in the ROM again.
It takes a lot of time to use the command line and reodex those apps.
This tool makes the reodex prosses as simple as typing the app name! No PC/Laptop needed!
To deodex a single app see this thread by Leon1234.
I'm not responsible for any problams caused by using this tool so use it at your own risk.
Please make a backup before using this tool in order to restore if something goes wrong.
I have tested this on MiniCM7-2.2.1, It should work with ICS/JB ROMs please make a backup and try it.
How to use:
1. Download update-CWM-SimpleOdexer.zip and odexer.txt from attachments.
2. Put them in the sdcard of your phone.
3. Flash the update-CWM-SimpleOdexer.zip via cwm recovery.
4. Run the Terminal in your phone and run the tool using this commands:
Code:
su
sh /sdcard/odexer.txt
5. Enter the name of the app that you want to reodex and this tool will odex it for you.
6. Enjoy

Okay more and you get better and change the original settings.apk from the beginning. anything send me your settings if you do not get. good luck :good:
Thanks to GerryS2 from the SII forum, I found out how to add seconds to the clock in the statusbar. I am not sure if this will work in anything other than the stock SystemUI but you can try.
First download the rar attached. It contains the needed smali files.
Decompile your SystemUI.apk and put the three files in the rar into:
smali/com/android/systemui/statubar/policy/
Next go the res/layout/ and edit the tw_status_bar.xml with notepad++
Find: <com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.Clock
and change to:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.DigitalClock
Recompile your SystemUI and put it in System/Apps. You can overwrite the original or rename the original to back it up (I suggest that)
