What launcher do you use? AND WHY!!!
I will come with a poll when on PC...
I USE NEMUS LAUNCHER
Sent from my LG-P500
I use LauncherPro, because I prefer stability and smoothness more than features.
Zeam, because I like to stay minimal & I don't need a bunch of options.

Nemus has a vert few extras, and smooth, and awesome UI, nemustech made regina too, remember, and that is awesome 3D, a higher end 3D than any game, and still, smooth on this crappy phone, they have a "simple code hack"... cmon, try them you will be amazed...
Oh and sgs2 users were amazed that regina has that awesome ui and still... takes less battery than stock... very odd

Hi im using minicm 2.1.8 naa-10 and I was wondering?
Does zeam launcher leave less of a ram footprint than the adw that comes with minicm??
Its because I was reading through a blog going on bout heavy-weight launchers with light-weight launchers and adw came under the heavy-weight and zeam with light-weight I know myself that zeam was light but is the adw that comes with minicm or any other cyanogen rom lighter than zeam and still little footprint on ram????
Im very curious about this lol

guys....i think holo launcher will overcome all of them...i mean it's fully customizable (like LP)...and smooth as a butter....and for our low end fone it's simply perfect...especially with the last update it's even better...that's my opinion based on experience though
I can't get ride of launcher pro plus...the most stable for me !

Holo is the best hands down...
Hey guys I was just wondering what home launchers you guys are using I'm using nova launcher right now but I'm looking for a launcher that won't take up too much RAM the most I've seen on nova is around 30mb also what lockscreen apps are good?
Sent from my HTCEVOV4G using xda app-developers app
I'm on Gingerbread, so I idk how much ram would be used for you, but I use Holo Launcher with 3 pages of 4x4 widgets, and another page with a clock widget, and Facebook widget. I also have regular app icons too. I keep the app in memory and it only uses 24MB of RAM. I use Holo Locker and the keyguard service that runs on the background is about 8MB.

Based on their .apk sizes Holo (non HD) is the smallest followed by ADW, but that may not reflect what they actually use at run time.
There are already threads in the general and themes & apps forums for home launchers so you might want to browse through those.

I'm on ics ill look into Holo thanks

I would suggest actually touchwiz launcher lol. It is not that big, its very lagfree and it looks nice

Using Next launcher, like it a lot.
Im using NextLaucher3D, stunning work havent used very many but this one is my fav so far VERY customizable
Have tried just about every launcher except the $16 3D launchers which I'm guessing may not be for the OP if you're concerned Nova is using too much RAM. I love tinkering with themes and widgets so I love using SSlauncher but it also requires a fair amount of RAM. Nova Launcher is a great combo with Tesla Unread and Widget Locker, my favorite overall combo of launcher-lockscreen but I've seen other's rave about Holo. Apples and Oranges I guess but I got Prime when it was on sale for 25 cents so I'll stick with that.
I actually prefer just using Sense over a 3rd party launcher if given the choice but obviously its not supported by all ROMs.

I'm not worried about nova seems to use just about a reasonable amount of RAM compared to others the next 3D launcher uses about 30 mb less than go launcher surprisingly

I'm sure people are way ahead of me on this, but Nova Launcher is much fassssssssster and much more customizable than stock TW.
Agreed. Combined with minimalistic widgets and simple text, it makes for a very clean launcher.

What are you using for theme and widgets? Specifically, I want to find them on play store, especially the text and call notification numbers
Never mind, pretty sure I got it lol

Not faster than TW, have you compared the two? TW opens apps quicker the moment you tap the icon.
That lag is very noticeable and I also use the page indicators to select a particular page in the app drawer.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
I love using nova on this phone, apps and whatnot don't launch faster but that really isn't the point of a launcher, I just love doing what ever I want with the launcher, and the cool extras/animations nova offers are nice too.

Just compared the two and I don't see the lag on my phone. The page scrolls are much faster on Nova, and at least for me the app launch is the same.
Actually, I prefer Apex over Nova, better customizations and more options. And a cleaner lookkng menu. Imo

I started using Apex when ICS or JB first launched, can't remember, anyway, Nova hadn't updated so I went to Apex because it worked. Nova caught up and I went back, and while I can't remember what it is right now, there is one feature I must have that Apex doesn't. I still have Apex backed up in TB and restore it and check for updates but that one thing is never there.... Damn, I'm gonna have to restore it now so I can remember what that was. Also, the only thing I remember it having that Nova didn't was more transition animations.

Possibly the ability to change the app info in the app drawer.
When it comes to apex, im big into my themes (downloaded over 20 of them) and I like how the theme engine in apex changes everything, where nova you must change every detail yourself.
