[Q] Compass problems with CM 10 Neo V - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

My compass worked with CM9 - 136 but after I have updated to CM10 147-149 it doesn't work. I have reflashed the kerner, rom and gapps but with no success. What else could I do?

Try reinstall n do a full wipe
Its should work man

I reinstalled the rom and gapp.( After I redownload them again), and did a cache wipe and a dalvik wipe but the problem persist.
Do you think a wipe data/factory reset will help, cos I am trying to avoid it.

Always take a backup before
U wanna change things in the
Phone bro
Full wipe i mean
Wipe factory
Cache
Advanced > dalvik cache
Mounts & storage > format system
Format data
Format cache
n reinstall the rom
Gl man

NO they will not be deleted. Wiping dalvik, cache or battery stats doesn't effect you applications.
what it means flash/boot ?
i had seen on some rom posted that before installing wipe/ boot !!
what does wipe/ boot means, i had wiped all cache, battert, dalvik..

Wiping only dalvik, cache and boot stats won't delete any app or app data from the phone....Wiping Data is the one which does that
Wiping of data is needed to uninstall any installed apps before doing a fresh/clean install of a new ROM
Otherwise it's most probable that the new ROM gets installed wrongly (except cm7 nightlies)
So before flashing new ROM do-
Data wipe,Dalvik, cache, battery stats wipe

[Q] Just got a Galaxy S2 today - Question about Wipes in Clockworkmod

I've had a ZTE Blade for a year and whenever I flashed a new rom, i'd boot into clockwork and wipe dalvik, battery stats in the advanced tab.
then i'd go to mounts and storage and wipe /system, /data, /cache and /boot followed by data/factory reset and cache in the main menu to make sure the system was completely minty fresh before i flashed.
just looking at clockworkmod for the S2 and i was wondering if there's a similarly recommended set of wipes ?
as far as i can see, it appears to be Wipe Data and Factory Reset, Wipe Cache and install - is that really it or would it help to do the /system, /data and /cache in the mounts and storage menu as well ?
thanks in advance
Wipe /system, /data /cache and dalvik cache. That should be enough (what I've been doing since april )

Thanks. I've just flashed the resurrection remix rom and only wiped dalvik, data/factory and cache and everything seems to have installed fine and is running ok so far - probably because i came from the stock ICS rom i suppose.
i'll remember that in the future though, thanks

In advanced there is fix permissions too. You can use it if it gets buggy.

Hi, this is my 1st post but have been flashing almost daily for around 4 months. Ok so here's my uber anal method
Wipe data/reset. (x3)
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache/battery stats
Format cache/system/data
Flash rom
(if dual booting flash kernel cleaning script then flash compatible kernel)
Reboot/set phone up Google accounts etc/Reboot. Then wait at least 5 mins for rom to settle. Enjoy!
This imo is a full wipe which I use regardless of whatever rom I'm flashing. I know some installs you can get away without full wipes but for peace of mind I use this method. It can be a pain setting up a fresh install but with using TB & launcher restores it can be done in less than 20 minutes. Good luck

Deep cleaning of the phone

Hello to all,
My friend told me that he was going to do a "deep cleaning of the phone" before installing a new ROM.
I could not understand what is it, I used to do the following before installing a new ROM In recovery mode:
1. Wipe data/Factory Reset
2. Wipe cache partition
3. Format Cache
4. Format System
5. Format Data
6. Format Secondrom_Cache
7. Format Secondrom_Data
8. Format Secondrom_System
9. Format External Storage
10. Format Internal Storage
11. Wipe Dalvik Cache
12. Wipe Battery Stats
Is this a correct way to have a clear Phone before flashin a new ROM?
Thanks
Seems to be a little to many steps to me. My normal way is to just wipe data/factory reset
This is what I see on the Recovery, now I'm running RR ROM JB 3.0.3 but I think is to unstable yet and want to go back to ICS, so if I did all this cleaning all the error report that it gives me know should not be on the ICS, plus is it possible that an app can be corrupt and continue to give me error because I restore it using Titanium?
you just need to
1. Wipe data/Factory Reset
2. Wipe cache partition
and you are done
I am using RR ROM JB 3.0.3 and it runs stable i have only done factory reset.

[Q] Camera force close issue

I was using AOKP stable release. It was working fine.
But i flashed MIUI rom 4.0. But due to huge battery drain i flashed CM7 based ROM.
But after this My camera stopped working. It says "Camera is not repsonding, Would you like to close it"
I have tried every possible effort. like
- Flashed 4-5 Roms of ICS and GB
- Formatted SD card.
- Reflashed camera app
- Cleared camera cache
- Mount/Unmount SD card
But now camera is not working.
Please help me
Anuj.
Did you wipe the phone? Wipe data, cache, dalvik, and system. Otherwise you would get errors like that dirty flashing
