Hi!
I have bought a Modecom FreeTab 9701. I'm wondering if I can install CWM Recovery and another version Android on it. It is posible? If yes, how to do it? The device contains recovery mode but i don't have many options in it.
Hey! I would be also interested in this! Any news?
Anyone got an update on this?
I just purchased a modecom 1003 tablet (I'm out of the UK) pretty good tab for the price.
Just need to know if & how I can root it and flash ROMs (if any are available) currently on 4.1 JB.

Not sure that system update has a lot to do with root. First of all, you need to check if there're official updates for your device. And then, it's quite risky to install unofficial system updates (if there're any).
thanks for your answers. At the moment there isn't official update for my device...So i would to install a new cooked rom, like ICS... It's possible on my phone?

That depends on the ROM and the requirements it needs. You'd better consult ROM developers in this case.
Hello ! I'm new In this Andriod things.
I have been using an huawei u8860-51 for a while now, like 6 months . I upgraded It to ICS 4.0.3 (B927)
I want to upgrade to jelly bean, but there Is no any official release yet, So I've been thinking about rooting my phone and get the Miniz custom rom.
But In order to do this, I need to have CWM ... therefore I need to be root. The problem here Is I don't seem to find a way to root It from (B927)
Is there anyone here who can give me some tips, or some guides I can follow to get to root my Honor ?
Thanks In advanced.

Hi, same thing for me, maybe the Provider do not work on an Update to the the newest Firmware.
I read somewhere that the Firmware you mentioned, works the best and i'm runnig the same Build i had few to no Problems at all.
I takes Time but in my Opinion, when there will be Custom-Roms realased for the Z2 Tablet, i would recommend flash those, with many Reasoin's like regular Updates, Bug Fixes,... etc.
If you want to stay with the Stock-Rom, you could try to flash the latest one, here on the Z2 Tablet Forum (in General i think).
I hope i could help

Thanks.
I think I will wait for a custom-rom (like cyanogenmod or similar).
Is that in progress?
Kind regards

Hi,
i think there should be one in the Future, because the Kernel- and Rom-Sources are realased, means it shouldn't take to long until
a Custom-Roms arrives for the Z2 Tablet.

Hello Guys.
I planning of rooting my Tablet Z (SGP312) still in new-ish condition.
It is not updated still have android 4.1.2 on it (Built 10.1.C.0.370).
I just want to get rid of the sony mess what is on the tablet.
What program you recommend for this android version ?
It is not going to be my first rooting as my Galaxy phone and my LG G pad rooted as well.
I heard a lot problems with the updates (kitkat and the new lollipop) so not planning to update it.
Anybody use here other newer Android version (not from Sony) on this tablet with no Problem ?
Thanks for answer.
(If you can an email me on [email protected] would be really appreciated).

Firmware is very old, but you can root it with DooMLoRD_SuperSU.zip or DooMLoRD_Superuser.zip
Also KK and LP firmware are great, so no reasons for not updating. Also CM is working good on tablet.
Sony Tablet Z what you recommend
Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Keep up the really great work.
In the meantime Azar_98 was so kind to answer to my private message.
He recommended to put the 5.1.1 prerooted firmware onto it.
Just updated the tablet now there is 4.3 on it now (10.4 built) and there is available
the 10.5 built I think it is the Kitkat.
I see you have 5.1.1 prerooted on your tablet.
Is there any how-to on this site what explain the installation of this version ?
thanks again.

Yes. You can upgrade your android version by flashing custom rom if available for your device.
