Power button paint chipping - HTC One X+

Hi One X+ users,
After happily using my good ol' Legend for 2,5 years, I decided to treat myself with the best phone money can buy these days: the HTC One X+. When I buy something new, it's got to meet 99% of my demands. I am willing to pay for "extra quality", but the price/performance ratio is important to me. About that last thing: the mind said NOO when I put the X+ in the virtual shopping cart, but eventually the heart and the wallet said 'hmkay, cut the crap and let's do it'.
So I had very high expectations => Fast forward 3 weeks => I'm very happy with it: it's fast, there's plenty of storage, it feels solid and the thing is still awake when I go to bed (^^).
-> Now here's the thing. A couple of days ago, a piece of paint came off the power putton, something I did not expect to happen on a 3 weeks old 600 euro device.
I wasn't doing anything special at that moment and I treat the thing with lots of care. Having the One S paint chipping debacle fresh in my mind, I thought it might me a good idea to warn you guys (and girls). Maybe I should not complain, but in my opinion this is something that should not happen this soon.
Please reply in this thread when something similar happens to your One X+. Maybe it's just my device..

Each phone is different. Maybe its just your luck that the pain chipped off. Do you use a case?

Nope, no case, yet.

So far I haven't any issues with paint chipping but there must be different batches of HOX+ because my first device had a rubber coated power button and my replacement hasn't.

I have it from day one it arrived in Germany. No issues since that! Perfectly built! Really nothing to regret! It's the first really perfect phone since my Nokia 3210 :thumbup:

This happened with the buttons on my xperia play. I figured out it was caused my girlfriend and her stupid fingernails.

My fingernails are rather short (nearly invisible ), so that won't be the case here.
Anyway, I emailed HTC about it. Waiting for an answer now

I'm in the wrong topic and I can not delete my poste ^^

[Q] How durable is the GS2?

Hey guys,a question about the SGS2 popped into my head earlier that I had forgotten to care about.
How durable is the GS2?I mean without silicon cases etc.It depends on the quality of the plastic used.
I know that the screen is pretty durable for sure(isn't it Gorilla Glass?),but what about the rest of the phone. From what I've heard, the original Galaxy S was pretty durable(heard stories of phones flying out of cars' windows etc),and my current Desire HD is really durable("really" is there because I have personal experience from the phone, not because it's more durable than the GS or something).
I intend to take care of my phone(Who doesn't take care of a 600 euro phone? ),but you cannot never be too sure!
Any feedback WITHOUT FLAMING OR HATING INCLUDED (taking precautions here as some people tend to defend the awesomeness of Sammy's phones with far too much zeal) is welcome.
Still eagerly waiting for the phone to arrive!
A lot of people think plastic automatically equates to bad build quality. Well, the Galaxy S II is proof that isn't the case -- it doesn't creek and there are numerous reports of people dropping theirs with no marks.
To sum up - does it feel as tough in the hand as my old HTC Leo? No. But does that mean it isn't? Not necessarily. I have had mine for a month with no build quality issues and long may it continue.
Durable = lasting in spite of hard wear or frequent use
So time alone will tell one month most definitely will not .
jje
Well,I am happy to see you two guys here(You ermmm...answered in a not so wanted manner in my other thread, remember?).Perhaps we started wrong, but never is too late now,is it?
I never said that plastic means build quality is bad. It's just more likely to mean so than aluminium is,because there are various qualities of plastic and no one can guarantee(is it spelled like that?I'm studying atm so my English is a bit out of the ordinary, too many mistakes, sorry) that a manufacturer uses high quality plastic.
However it doesn't need to scream quality. My father has a Panasonic DSLR which is mainly(if not completely) mad of plastic. It has fallen on soil, water, rocks(in a cave-holy sh*t that man! ) and other surfaces numerous time and there is only a tiny(Like the tip of a nail) piece broken from the lens' cover.Nothing serious considering it's been going through that stuff for about four years now!
What I wanna say is that the GS2 might prove far better than most of us believe.
Did you guys own a GS1?What are your experiences from it?I mean apart from the usual problems with the device, like gps.
Again, thanks for your replies guys!I hope we will be cooperating and understanding each other better in the future!
(I hope I don't sound like a politician,but we have to be polite,don't we? )

This deserves its own reply...
Don't say one month won't tell anything.Give a phone to my sister. If it survives the month,it's most likely extremely lucky or extremely well made!
Like the original sgs id say its a lot more durable than it feels- Ive droped mine already, but didnt get a scratch
Yes i droped mine within 10mins of opening the box lol it bounced but no marks chips cracks scratches nothing. On the other hand i droped my desire hd when i had it and that gained a dent in the top both droped in my living room so they both took the same tumble and hit the same floor.

Hard to say, wait some weeks for more stories to develop
I'd say since there aren't many (any?) people screaming "ONOES IT BROKE ALREADY", it's probably made pretty well.
If it had truly bad build quality there would surely be some people complaining about it by now!
Once I got mine, I thought it felt like a toy and got a case for it immediately, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be able to survive a drop. It just means my financial paranoia got the better of me

Yeah, that last part is exactly how I feel!
Joking aside you are right. We haven't even heard of someone bricking their device! How strange is that?Do idiots not buy the SGS2?Or is the software THAT easy to recover from anything?

Hopefully I'm getting mine tomorrow but If you look at the situation in which you'll drop the GSII logically.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, btw )
If you drop it, it's lighter, meaning it has less momentum on it, meaning that there's less force acting on the phone when it goes "smashing" into the ground and is there's less force, it's more likely to survive.
OFC not sure how that situation will take place in real life though.

Well,in a similar scenario my DHD kinda damaged the floor more than the floor damaged it.
Well, comparing the two isn't really that much fair.See,the way I see it,the biggest advantage of the plastic used on with the Galaxy series is that the reduced weight of the phones makes the force with which they hit the ground, should they fall, much smaller. And,using common sense, this means less damage.
That is my opinion though!

One more question guys...
How is Samsung with their warranties?Do they honour it as they should? And how do they treat people with rooted devices?
HTC is well known for the fact that they are quite good with their warranties so,coming from a long line of HTCs,I'd like to know about Samsung too.
Thanks!

It feels fragile, but like someone just said the amount we've paid for them does instill some paranoia. I had my first test yesterday. In a Case-Mate Tough Case, the phone fell out of my hand, dropped arrow straight vertically and landed on one top corner. It then flopped on its face. This was on a concrete floor. I know the case saved it, but regardless the shock it took was pretty severe. So it's not frail and I'm now a Case-Mate fan.

Are you buying sim-free? And I haven't heard any rants about warranty, so I'm assuming it's good.
Plastic definitely has it's advantages. When you think of all the shattered iP4's, and the comments above about dented aluminum HTC's it might be a blessing. That and of course weight has me thinking maybe the Sensations hand feel might not be so great when it's out of your hands....and into gravity's
I dropped mine 12 days ago.
Took it out of my pocket whilst hurrying to get to a meeting I was late for, juggled it, managing to launch it to about 5ft in the air before it landed totally flat, face down on concrete with some small stones scattered across it.
That shattered the glass and broke the LCD screen. NO damage or marks anywhere else. It has been in for repair (£90 quoted) with the official Samsung service centre in Luton since Saturday 21st. Samsung are taking their time sending the replacement.
Just a little bit annoying!

Aha...Then Gorilla Glass isn't made to endure severe abuse!
Although I think 90 pounds for the screen is a little too much...

inc2 to inc4

having owned an eris, inc1, inc2, rezound, inc4, and gnex recently.
does anyone also get weired out when u see the lights on the phone, cos when they were off on the inc2, they were off cos they were leds.
I have to say I really like this phone.
It's built exactly like the Rezound - the fact that you don't have to take out the battery to get to the sd card on this phone like u did in the Rezound (sounds like wouldn't be an issue, but when trying to get from bootloader to recovery, this really helps lol)
anyway, the gnex I had for about a month, it was fun, mainly because I only use HTC phone do to my extreme liking of HTC Sense.
it was just too large, when I traded it for the rezound the slimmness of the rezound felt like heaven.
the rezound though is and will forever be plauged with a horrendous community (for whatever reason, idk but to me it was worth going back to my inc2 than to stay in that crap of a community)
sorry for the rant
anyway, I think the build quality is OK on the inc4g/rezound
i think the battery back is not attached as well as it should/could be
if any of you are coming from the inc2 that was very hard to take it off.
don't get me wrong the inc4g is a nice build, but IMO the inc2 was better.
has anyone have the loose battery door like myself? drives me nuts, I had it on the rezound and actualy boght another battery door which did help, i think the more u pull it on and off the looser it gets, so i might cal verizon and ask for a new one sent out.
or maybe some paper under the door on top battery, that worked great on rez until i got a new door lol.
My door is not loose at all... Make sure are the clips are set... If it is than I would suggest going to a Verizon store and getting another unit... Not just another battery cover cuz the problem can be with units clips.. if u don't wanna deal with all that... You can always buy your self a case and call it a day lol

My battery cover snaps on fine, but there is just a bit of squeaking and movement right where the NFC contacts are.

I'm coming from the Inc2 as well, so I know what you men about its rock solid build.

thanks guys, your input def means a lot.
thought I may have been too OCD haha.
I had this prob. when I had the Rezound (which I hated, was a brick) but this phone is literally built identically to the Rezound but our phone has the SD slot like the inc2, and the rez has is under the battery(which sucked when havig a PG..zip) on ur sd card and trying to get into recovery haha. oh man)
I eventually put paper behind the back door, but decided one day to take them out and it just felt better to me so i kept it.
I also bought a new back door lol.
it actually did help. I think the more you pull it off and on obv. the more it wears on it.

I wana go to the store but I know they will just say that's how they are.
they may suggest buying a new back door hahha
i tried calling making up some **** trying to get a new one sent and the only way was to charge cc full retail until they got this one back, but wasn't worth all thta hassle for what could just be me being OCD.
but once that 14 days is gone they will send u a refurb before u can say hello.
it's funny to me sometimes how easily it is to get a refurb and the reasons ppl do.
I read once some sent back his inc1 saying the speaker blew (it hadn't), but the screen had a scratch out of no where, so he got a refurb cos the scratch.
I think the refurbs are a 50/50, they can either be a perfect, a phone someone used for a day and traded in, and I've read ppl getting refurbs that still contain custom recoveries.. whether this is true who knows but I have gotten pretty bad refurbs to the point i had to call to send another because the one i got sucked.
inc2 was a great phone but had some weird flaws to me, id get a refurb and one of the soft keys had a virbate u couldnt even feel and the other one was so hard and loud it was to the point they both were so bad i called for another one, which was luckily perfect on the soft keys but the friggin power buttun is pushed in. the one with the really low soft keys had a crap power button pushed in too, and the craqzy vibrate soft key refurb had a perfect power button, it was never ending.
I finally found a good one, gave to my bro, got a rezound, bought an inc2 on CL it was somehow perfect, must have jsut gotten a refurb lol it was so mint, and gave it to me for $100, which i sold yesterday for $120 haha.
sorry for the rant.
the inc4 is an amazing phone.
I'm very happy I chose to get the Galaxy Nexus for month and then sold it for the Rezound which I used for a few months that I then sold for the inc4 on contract.
def worth it.
only other phone id want is one S and thats not coming, so this phone = win.

I'm a freak about my phone being quiet in hand and solid as well. I look at it this way... this phone will be the most handled and used device I own for the next year at the very least, so I want it to be perfect. Any odd squishing or squeaking will eventually drive me insane.
I actually took my Inc4G back to Best Buy to see if I could get a replacement because of the battery door squish/squeak. Rather than go through the whole process of an exchange, the BB chick popped the battery door off of her own Inc4G to see if the fit was different. It was, but not in a good way. Hers was loose near the power button, but solid near the NFC contacts. So I just stayed with my own.
I think it's just something with this model... not a perfectly fitting door, might have something to do with the unconventional shape. Who knows. I might try the paper trick. I'll do anything to avoid putting a case on my phone as I hate the additional bulk. If paper doesn't work, I'll have to see about getting a replacement door. Other than that, this thing has been stellar. Just give me some AOSP/CM10 and I'm in heaven.
Its weird because I pulled several of them out of the box today to check the backs.... They all seemed solid... Maybe a bad batch?

did u just call and say ur back was messed up and ask for new one?
I went to a store and after talking to the manager who was honestly a condescending ****, he said he would have a new one shipped to me and refused to switch the phone out on the spot which he should have done. Normally my experiences with Verizon are really good I might add.

I've got overhang on my unit

most htc one do have overhang at the top front metal and a little gap, mine too!
Yep, top left. Its not that noticeable, and no LCD light bleed like some others. Thank God. Should count my blessings I guess /

FA34D, slight overhang on the top right and bottom right, otherwise quite perfect. Not sure where the light leaks out of, but I don't notice any leakage; nothing as bad as the capacitive buttons leaking through to the screen on my Amaze.
Edit: had the wrong corners identified.
I've got overhang on top left, but it's so minor to me I don't care. Plus with the fact that a lot of other people are reporting the same makes me feel better. Everything else on this phone is PERFECT, and I'm OCD about this stuff. :good:

FA34EW absolutely no overhang of gaps. Second one I ordered for my wife did so I sent it back. Waiting for it to come back.

My FA34D had plastic that looked shoddy, large gaps between plastic and top speaker cover piece on both ends, and a gash in the speaker aluminium on the botton right. Disappointed; It's going back. Can't comment on speaker/glass since I have not taken the plastic off yet.

The full hd screen on the htc didnt make any difference in my eyes, and the phone was getting hot and loosing battery fast.

Ok I love all the android phones, last year I purchased almost all the top high end phones like HTC one x, x+, GS2, 3, Nexus 4 and so on. I get tired from the phones onece I play with all the roms, so I sell them on Craigslist for little cheaper(I take the loss) and add money and buy a new phone. I own the GS3 for almost 6 months, this is the only phone I kept for that long and still love it. So when I saw what GS4 was like and the HTC I decided to get the htc one because the GS4 looked like GS3s
Anyway I tought the HD screen is going ro be a big deal and the aluminum HTC one looked like high quality, but I used it for 5 days and I faund that htc still doing garbage quality control. The phone is looong thebpower botton is very high, and i have big hands. The phone gets hot when I start using, the battery drains (I almost disabled all the apps). 2 dead pixels and so one. So decided to return and never ever get HTC, becuse every time I buy HTC all the time it has toooo many defects. Mytouch 4g, htc one x and one x+. I exchanged the one x for 5 times so I dont want to go tru that anymore.
This is my opinion. Sorry if it was long.

I for one am not going to bash on someone who simply has a different liking. I have been lucky with HTC; out of my last 4 phones, I only had to exchange one (my HD2) because it was overheating. I always liked HTC build and designs.

Does anyone have a PERFECT One?

I've done hours of research on multiple forums. Most of the issues seem to center around gaps around the screen and dead pixels. I want to believe that the reason I am seeing that almost nobody has a greatly built phone, without any problems, is because everyone is posting and complaining in the "build quality issue" threads.
I bought the S4 on launch day and loved it. Albeit the squeaky/creeking back of the phone, and the "cheap" feel. However, I did break the screen and will be getting a full refund from squaretade (lovely company, wasn't expecting that.)
I had the HTC One X before my S4 and absolutely loved it. I'd really love to pick up a 64gb Black One instead of going back to the S4, but with all of these complaints I'm not sure if I should. I'm pretty certain that I could inspect the phone in the AT&T or Best Buy store before purchasing it, but I don't want to come off as a **** and make them open five phones to find one that is perfect. I will be purchasing it off contract, at around $700, so I cant seem to justify buying one if it isn't perfect. I'm quite OCD and I just wouldn't be okay with that.
So my question is this: Does anyone actually have a perfect One? And if so, what color-size-and purchase date?
Thank you for your time
im about to be on my fifth HTC One and havent gotten a "perfect" one yet .... im pretty aware of how to put the device through a detailed test to check out its battery, screen for dead pixels, speaker sound issues, gaps, vibrate motor, camera lens failure and rattling, squeaks and creaks on the device dude to flex, scratches. the quality control on the HTC One is pretty despicable ... so upset I traded away my Apple iPhone 5
I think mind is about as perfect as they come. Silver 32gb and I got it a few weeks ago

By as perfect as the come, what is wrong?
I think I can fall into this catagory...ive had my phone since 5/1 and ive tried my best to find some of these issues that ive read about....
The lines are just perfect...no gaps and no meet points are uneven. Ive also used the dead pixel finder apps and nothing there either...from any viewing angle.
I believe most of the issues ive read about tend to lean towards the international models...but ive seen them on this forum also. At the end of the day "most" units are probably near perfect...but there will always be a few that aren't.

I cannot find any flaws in mine. Bought a couple of weeks ago at the AT&T store straight - first phone out of the box. No gaps, no dead pixels. 32gb black edition. Loving it!

No dead pixels, no fast-draining battery (I only have to charge every other overnight and I can get three full days with Power Saver enabled, unless I watch a TV show or movie, Navigate for a while, or have the screen on for an extended period for any other reason), no backlight bleeding through any screen "gaps", no camera issues, no lagginess, etc.. Everything works, looks, and fits exactly right. It's the first of four Android phones I've owned that I don't feel I have to root or overclock, and it works perfectly with stock everything.
I see that there are some people with some legitimate issues with various aspects of their Ones, and I understand their frustrations. A dead pixel is a dead pixel and there's no getting around that. But I also see a number of very vocal people who seem to be looking for problems where there are none. If you* see a slightly brighter shade of backlight at the very top of the screen where the glass meets the aluminum when you hold your phone at an extreme angle and squeeze the sides really hard, that's not a manufacturing defect -- that's you doing your job as an RM for some competitor, being a nitpicking primadona, or just a troll.
* of course, "you" is not you specifically, OP, but the generic "somebody"

Mine was purchased straight from HTC and its great. It's just as good as my wife's iPhone or my friends GS4. I don't see any issues with it at all.

Thank you for all of the positive feedback everyone!!! I'm still going to make sure the at&t rep will let me take a good look over it, but I think I've made my decision.
Side note:; Are there any de-sense roms yet? Not that I don't like sense.. I loved it on my One X

Google is your friend. Or since you're already on XDA you might as well check out the Original Android development section.
Oh, and same goes for me. My One appears to be FINE to me. No dead pixels, no body issues, etc. I recently cracked the LCD so I sent it in to HTC for repair and hopefully they don't mess anything up to take away from that 'perfection'.
I have some very small issues with mine if I was nitpicking, like the slightest of unevenness between the screen/speaker grills. Also a small gap in the top left corner (extremely small). But don't affect usage in any way and I can only tell if I closely examine. My previous one had dead pixels which annoyed me - so I exchanged it. But nothing worth exchanging here, IMO.

I'm with you and have a 32gb silver with zero issues. My g/f has a 64GB silver with no issues either.
No issues here
No dead pixels, battery lasts the day or more depending on usage, no fit issues that I can see, no random reboots or anything. Really like the device. :good:
Cosmetically, my phone is flawless no gaps lifts or anything. Screen is perfect no dead/stuck pixels and couldn't be happier with it. I know some have knocked the durability of the one but I've been caseless for 2 weeks and not even a single grain of chipping on the black finish.
I have a perfect one
I'm not that happy with the build quality on mine as I expected more from "ZeroGap and Unibody". I come from Galaxy Note N7000, and I was really expecting Apple quality.
Mine is not that bad as some photo's of others complaining, but my upper speaker grill is lower than the screen, so when I swipe from the top, I can feel the sharp edge of the screen. The bottom speaker grill is on the same level as the screen so no bumps there.
Next, there's a thin black plastic that wraps around the screen. On the left upper corner, this black plastic is partially stuck inside and partially sticking out more than the other sides. It was annoying me until I wrapped around a case that covers them. I had a Nokia 920 which also has this kind of black thin plastic, and the N920 had a perfect black strip around the screen. Nokia can do it, why can't HTC do it?
Going to the camera (major deciding factor for me), sometimes the photo looks really blurry on 1/3 of the left and right (landscape mode) while it's perfectly sharp in the center. This is because optical image stabilization over-reacts and blurs the image. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough times that it bothers me. Also when taking pictures of the blue sky and look on a computer, the pixels are garbage and artificial looking. Low light pictures and macro pictures are pretty good.
I have a 32GB silver AT&T HTC One, and Android Revolution HD 10.2.
Mine is perfect, but then again I don't go looking for reasons to complain...
Went to Costco with my GF, we looked at 3 HTC ones and chose the best of the 3.
Ours don't have gaps, glass is pretty flush and no dead pixels. I think we got lucky.

Apple Iphone convert

I was a hardcore, die hard iPhone fan. Bought every single iPhone that came out( as well as other Apple products). The G2 is actually the first phone that impressed me! Most of my mates have S3s,S4s Note2&3s and just thought "WTF!" Their phones (as well as mine) would die by 2PM carrying around some dead piece of useless weight. trying to charge a bunch of batteries was an awfully pain chore too.
The day came were I sat next to this guy in a fully packed bus on a Thursday evening. He pulled out this gorgeous white device, I could barely notice the bezels. The screen was drop dead sexy. "Sorry mate, what phone you got?" I asked politely (this phone needs proper advertising!!!)
"LG G2!... came out yesterday" he replied.
Went home and did some research of this device I had never heard(let alone seen advertised). Its specs just blew all other Android smartphones out the water.
I decided to order one from Clove technology(White 32GB) and click the order button. I later called them to cancel the order but was already dispatched.
Delivery man knocked on the door at 07:14AM precisely. Still having that narrow-minded, typical Apple mentality, I signed the parcel and ditched it on the sofa. Came back home at 10PM and had nothing to do apart from watching TV or play GTA5. Out of curiosity I opened the parcel and opened the box and to my surprise it's the most comfortable phone I've held. It felt light and sturdy. Screen size was perfect. Amazingly fast phone! I've experienced no lag or stutters at all.
The moment came where I finally escaped the darkness. My eyes opened, I realized that the iPhone wasn't the best smartphone in the world. There were much better alternatives out there. It's the best decision I've made in the last decade. I still love Apple products but LG scored a hat-trick with their G2. There's no doubt I'll be buying the next 'G' (G3).
On a typical day at work with extremely heavy use, I usually laugh at my colleagues',(Samsung and iPhone users) bringing a crap load of chargers and batteries to work. By 2PM they'd all start moaning about their battery levels being critically low.
Kind of late now for work but thanks for taking your time to read!

I too agree that LG needs to know how to advertise the phone properly...Even many of so called mobile crazy guys were not knowing about this one.
Good read! Nice to know you love the g2.
LG G2
SO why did you cancel it in the first place, impulse purchase. That said even i agree i have owned tonz of phones, and i rate this phone as one of the best i have had. Only if they had done something better with back plastic cover(The only gripe)

It's a fantastic phone, and you picked the right phone and the right moment to switch. I have had 4 Android flagship phones before this one, and the LG G2 is a LOT better than anything else that I have tried. My latest Android phone before this one was the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Jumping over to this one is like switching race car from an old truck to a brand new Ferrari.

I purchased it the same evening I saw the phone on the bus. That being said, I was so impressed by its display I made a purchase without making a solid decision. The best mistake I've made and don't regret it.
Good choice, the G2 really is an awesome phone.
LG definitely seems to have been quiet with their advertising around it (I see commercials for the iPhone, SGS4 and Moto X all the time and I think I've seen a G2 commercial maybe once or twice).
How did you put the stock android screen buttons on the G2 on those screenshots?

Firstly, you must be rooted.
1. Download' Xposed installer' and install it.
Link Xposed installer': (can't do that, I'm under 10 posts:crying: so google it
2. Go to the Play store and download 'G2 xposed'
3. Restart phone
4. Open up 'Xposed installer', select 'modules' then select 'Xposed LG G2 [1.2]'
5. Modify your device...
The only thing Iphone have over android is resell value and looks.
I personally think G2 is the best android phone out right now. Samsung is turning in apple where they are just milking there customers.
Same here.This phone is amazing.

I don't see a valid point in resell value of smartphones. I understand what you mean like the iPhones where you can resell for ridiculous prices compared to Androids and BBs. However, nearly nobody nowadays buys used smartphones. Myself for example, I'd rather donate them than sell them for £80= roughly $120 after I spent a ridiculous amount of money on them after I've kept them for 12-months. I'd be psychologically happy in helping someone by donating it to them than being ripped off. IMHO with the rapid loss of value in smartphones, there are two feasible options
1. Donate it or 2.keep it, but getting ripped for stupid resell prices? it's totally up to you.
People in this day and age want the latest technology, not some outdated stuff. I can't name a single person wanting to buy or currently owning a used smartphone.
^I wonder what part of the world you live in. Take 30 seconds and look through the cell phone section on Craigslist, refresh it in a few hours... Yeah.

Looking through Gumtree ( Craigslist equivalent) over half of the G2's for sale are sealed and not used. They were unwanted upgrades. Paying attention to when the used ones were uploaded, they're quite old by at least a week whereas the sealed once go live and are sold within the first week...

you are right in one thing a typical android phone sells for $120~ after 2 years. But Iphone on the other hand after 2 years still command $200~. plus its easier to sell use iphone products than android
that's just you but some people do buy use phones.
