If it doesn't show up in the app drawer then you can go to the apps menu in settings. I would think it should be listed there. You can then click it and choose uninstall.

Yeah I went in apps in settings and could not find it at all .. I've used every method for searching for it .. but can't seem to find it at all .. its strange ..

Only other thing I could think of is to download a file browser and look for it manually. Although more than likely it will be in /system somewhere so you won't be able to erase it.

did it install as a system app? Strange. Could always use tibu to convert to a user app(if it is a system app) or just clear data and uninstall from tibu itself.

This app is a security application is it not? There are 2 options for install, both an apk file as well as a flashable zip. Did you install the apk or flash the zip. As well did the developer of the app give special instructions on uninstalling? If the app is for locating a lost phone there may be a trick to the uninstall process.
Titanium backup should allow the removal if your phone is rooted.

For me, I use avast and they have a removal tool built into the app for the anti theft portion. After that's removed you can uninstall the antivirus portion like any other apk. I would definitely check within the app first to see if there's a removal tool.

Ah yes thank you for reminding me. Usually there is ab option in the app that let's you un install it normally but since I was having problems the Dev Gave me a custom apk to run (and now another one which is why I had to uninstall) and I did move it as a system app that's why. I was successfully able to remove through titanium backup. Idk why I didn't think of it before. Thanks guys! Btw I highly recommend this app for security purposes.

I did that before asking. If you find something please let us know.

Android/Google maps/cache..
The files are not named anything that you would recognize but time and date confirms, also it looks as tho offline storage auto deletes itself in 30 days. There is an older version (Google Google Maps 6.8.1 ) which allows storage and real use of offline maps using other apps..rnmaps I think..
Hope that helps

Uninstall Gmail. See if that gets rid of the icon.
Of course after that you can reinstall.
Edit : If you can't Uninstall then clear Gmail cache and reboot phone.

Back up your data and factory reset from settings. No need to root.
This should surely get rid of that icon.

Don't worry about the apps as they will be restored when you sign in to your Google account after first boot. Just backup pics and other important files from internal memory to a PC or external sd if you have one installed.

[Q] Remove "All messages" vs. SMS/MMS selection from Stock HTC Messages App

Is this (relatively) easy to achieve? Or is there a significant reason the messages are divided up like this? The "All Messages" seems to take longer to redraw/refresh than the "SMS/MMS" option, which is quite annoying, to me at least... Otherwise, I don't mind using the app at all.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It can be done only on rooted phone. You have to replace your Messages+PRIME.apk to GSM-version. Like I did.

Thanks! Would you happen to have a link for a download? I found the .apk in the Viper ROM .zip, but it wouldn't install when I tried installing. Do I need to use TB to install it?

Here is the one I took from Virtuos GSM-only ROM and what I am using now on 2.06 base. Replace same file in /system/app/ folder with any root explorer, and check permissions. Then reboot.
Worked perfectly, I tip my hat to you sir! Thank you very much.

Frustrated

Ive been trying to figure out how to use xtheme engine for two days now. No matter which theme I download the engine only ever says I can use System Default when I open the dropdown menu to choose a theme. I cant figure out where to download the themes to, and no forum I've read says what to do about this issue. Can someone please help me figure this out?

Click on the theme to actually install the themes if not installed it won't show up any where
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
It only asks if I want to open or view it....no install options.

Themes are apk's that you actually install then they are available in the theme engine
Yea I finally figured it out. This whole time I was completely overlooking the install option because it looked like the view files option. Thanks a bunch guys it's much appreciated, I was so irritated lol...
