Ok, short story... i had a Note II from best buy which I returned then waited for Note II from Walmart. Have that one now.
Question is, when I had the Note II from Best buy, in the Settings > Data Usage screen, I was able to see both mobile and wifi usage. The one from Walmart, I cannot for the life of me, figure out why it's not being displayed or if there's something I'm have set. I can't remember where the setting was.
What do I have to do to see it?
TIA.

Oh, the menu button! I forgot that it's operative within the settings menu.

Wow. Adblock Plus has used .93GB in the past 7 days. Good thing it is set to only refresh the list on wifi, but how big could it have to be and how often could it possibly need to refresh?

I just paid for the pro version of Titanium and I'm trying to free Media Hub and it's been running for about 20 mins now.
It just shows the popup that says Freezing Media Hub.
The phone still works. I can move around and use it.
Is this normal?

Hi there,
I am using a Bell (CDN) SGSII and have noticed that I am unable to sort the app drawer into list view. I'm not sure why this ability is not in the CDN version of the SGSII, but was wondering if there is a way to add it.
fyi...we're (CDN) cannot theme the sms thread as well - why would these capabilities be removed?
Hi
no you can do it !
Go to Applications (app drawer)>>>click settings button>>edit>> enjoy !

I've tried that already - there is no list view options.
Edit...
here is a screen cap of what I see...when i hit "edit" there is not option for list view, only save, cancel delete empty page etc.
Anything on this???? I'm on Virgin Mobile and I get the same thing. It's driving me crazy.
There is not even the ability to sort the apps.. Strange. Was there on my old gs 1.

I know. I've stumped all 3 Virgin Booth employees and 2 different Costco Wireless etc... booths
So I have no clue whats going on. I guess all that's left is to phone Bell and see what they've done to it.

I am using my Atrix 4G in a vehicle dock a lot and am really getting tired of the damn thing suddenly deciding to update 15 Market apps while I am driving and listening to MP3s and such. It just starts at the strangest times and all the notification tones absolutely screw up my listening pleasure, not to mention eating up my data plan.
Is there a setting or 3rd party app somewhere that will tell the phone to ONLY check for and apply updates over wi-fi connection? I found the setting for Social Apps in the Battery and Data Manager settings, but I don't use those anyway. Sure wish there was a similar setting for the Market!
Thanks for any help.
By the way, using Car Home Ultra.
Go to Market --> Settings, then check the option "Update over Wi-Fi" then you will be set to enjoy your music on driving...
Also you can uncheck "Auto-update apps", you can update whenever you want....

Doh! Lol, thanks.
Don't know why I expected something marketplace-specific to be in the general settings.

Anyone know how to make it vibrate when in the car dock? I hate how notifications go through the speaker and screw up poweramp for like 7 seconds.

You could also just turn off background data and market won't even open. Plus you'll save battery life
Hi all
I got my phone today and love it!
I live in Central America though and every time I do a search with Google, both Chrome and three default internet app use www.google.(code for country)
Even if I do a factory reset and never hint my location to the device, if will still somehow find out! There seems to be no way around this, in my computer it's as easy as making www.google.com/ncr my homepage.
Any solutions? It'd be greatly appreciated

That's probably because of modem and CSC.
You can change it from
System Settings > Accounts > Google > Search > Select Search on Google.com
As you do not have I9300 you are asking in the wrong forum .
See sticky top of the page .

Hi guys,
I'd like to get some help from you about the following issue. Because of different reasons I had to make a factory reset on my Honor 5X phone. After the successful operation, I can't set the turning/starting date of the data usage cycle, because i can't find the option in Data Traffic Management. Previously (when the device was running on Android 5 with emui 3) there was an input field to change the date, but now i can only set the "total monthly data available", but the date field is missing. Can you tell me where or how can i set this date?
Actual build number is KIW-L21C432B340, android 6.0.1, emui 4.0
Thank you in advance!
P.S. The remaining and used amount of data info is also missing from above the chart...

your right they removed the option in MM
all you can do is find another app to monitor your usage or hope for an update

There are plenty of apps in the Play Store as an alternative. Search for them.

Thanks clsA, it was my suspicion as well. It's quite infuriating, they removed such a useful option. And do they really call it development?? I don't want to be a troll, cause anyway i prefer marshmallow to lollipop, but it is ridiculous. Installing a new app just because the option was removed from the os? It's wasting the resources...

Actually it´s hidden. You need a program to enable system shortcuts. I just dont remember its name...
zinko_pt how do you mean "system shortcut"? Will I be able to reach a hidden option with any kind of application?

I guess he's saying that the data usage is hidden in Settings activities. You can try Activity Launcher app.

OK, my problem wasn't that i can't find the deeply buried data usage in settings, but the ability of setting the first day of the cycle is missing. Otherwise everybody can easily make shortcut for data usage by phone manager.

Thats not what he meant....
He meant although the option you're looking for isn't available in the settings , it is still embedded in the core android platform... You just have to dig through the activity laujcher to find it...

Hello Nucleo, how are you?
I'm actually facing the same thing, I can't get real info about the android-cycle dates, can you please give me a hint for me to look up on the Activity Launcher?
Thanks you very much!
Hi Yazmeq,
First of all You should install Activity Launcher from Play Store. After launching the app, tap on "Recent Activities" (in the header) and choose All activities. Wait a bit while the app loads some data and scroll down on the appeared list to Settings and tap on it. Search for Data usage and "click" on the cycle date above the chart to change it. Set the new turning date and it's all. Now You can quit the app, the new data usage cycle has been set. You might uninstall the app if you wouldn't like to have it since you're short of storage space.

Thanks for the detailed explanation!! this issue was driving my crazy!!
Will this work for the Honor 6X running EMUI 5 / Nougat? I tried, but unless I'm doing something wrong, I can't seem to find the data reset date setting.
