Go to photo settings..make sure assist light is off?
To add in a little more context: what you see is the focus assist light. This actually turns on before the photo is taken to get focussing information for the camera. There is no flash in the actual image being taken. But as the previous poster already answered you can turn that off as well (although I guess you will have to deal with more out-of-focus pictures then).
The light before the shot is taken is the focus assist light, to illuminate the focus object so your picture is focused.
Its not the flash. Is that what you mean?
Thanks to all u guys all these answers helped me appreciate it

Try going outside during the day and taking a picture. The focus assist light should stay off.

Can someone give me the best settings for the camera to work during night pictures? Haven't been able to take a single nice picture at night. All dark, blurry and the damm led light doesn't help.

try to reduce or increase the +/- sign, i forgot what it called, and test it out yourself
Thanks, already had tried that but still looks wired. Guess we'll never get good nighttime pictures with a stupid led flash.

My thunderbolts camera flash and flashlight have stopped woking. I am guessing bad Hardware but I am not totally sure. Is there a way to force the leds on. Flashlight app does nothing. Neither does the camera flash on.
Id say your bulbs are shot, take it in

Yeah that would make sense. You can download a flashlight app in the play market to turn them on. If they don't, they are definitely shot.

I just noticed that I lost the option to take pictures while recording video from the back camera, but am still able to take pictures while recording video from the front camera. I noticed this after I flashed a few ROMs, but restoring from a nandroid backup or even flashing back to stock with Odin does not work fix the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

If you turn stabilization on (anti shake) you lose the ability to take pics while recording video. You just have to turn anti shake off and then you should be good
