i used to have 4.0.3 rel5 rooted but i saw the 5a update and i updated. Now ii can't root it can i downgrade it? I wanna build custom roms...

Recently i brought a Xolo Q800 which is a rebrand of chinese Gionee GN708w. I rooted my phone and installed the official rom of Gionee because they updated it to Android 4.2.1
Now the problem is they have a software update but i cant install it as people say it will mess up my phone. And i am not able to find the complete Rom package with that update. As there are litrally none developer with this phone.
Now i want to know can i any how implement that software update into the rom. I know how to use Android Kitchen.
Please help and suggest a method to do so.

My firmware is Huawei Mediapad X1 B010 KitKat 4.4.2 with EMUI 2.3 (chinese model 7d-503L). I want to root it with Vroot. But i have several questions before rooting :
1/ When i'll root it, will I receive the future update by OTA ?
2/ When i'll root it, is it possible to come back, so to UNROOT it ? And if it's true, how can I unroot it ?

Bro, you can read this post. saw this on another thread. hope this helps.
Instead of "RootGenius" you can simply use "Kingo Android ROOT" software for rooting 4.2.2 Jellybean ROM And "Vroot" for Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM.
It works on MediaPad X1.
By the way you can unroot it using Kingo android ROOT software.

Hello guys I have little problem regarding root on this phone-d by that I mean I have tortured the phone with kingroot but then I removed king root through terminal emulator and installed supersu but supersu can't install binaries and I cant manually install them either because I don't have a custom recovery so how can I atleast unroot the phone? Cuz root isnt working so I cant root it cuz is rooted but I can't unrooted cuz the root doesn't work phone is Huawei SCL-L01 running android 5.1.1 and EMUI 3.1
