Hey guys,
I've been porting TrickDroid for the Desire HD, but ever since I've updated, I can't get a logcat anymore.
So I will need some people who can test my ROM and give a logcat.
It still doesn't boot, so don't be scared
And if anyone can give me a tut on how to downgrade again, I'd really appreciate it
So as long as I can't base my ROM on the new update, I can't get a logcat. I will rebase my whole ROM on 1.18 when someone provides me a de-odexed stock 1.18 ROM.
PS: To test, you ofcourse need to have firmware 1.14

Good to know you have the permissions....
Exams are over so I have loads of free time...feel free to do it....I will do a port of my suprimo Rom....so basically light sense Rosie and everything else is full sense with loads of aroma options....I need some testers so hopefully you'll can help me out

Yeah ofcourse, but can you base it on a 1.18 firmware Rom? That way I can get your logcat, and the WiFi won't be bugged, as with sense revolution

Well, I'm not a real experienced developer (yet), so I won't do that, but I think my trickdroid port will get booting pretty soon :3

MaartenXDA, I hate to tell you this. But the rom you put up isn't near close to booting.
Where you are missing it. Your phone has a msm7k board. You are porting a rom from a phone with a 7x30 board. You have to use the msm7k files in lib\hw from your phone. There ain't no way that you can use msm7x30. You use msm7k files and then you move libs from the Desire X rom to the TrickDroid rom to get things working.
I ported the desire x rom to the glacier which has a 7x30 board. It took 53 libs, 3 bins and 1 app to get the camera and video record and playback to work correctly.
But there is always light at the end of the tunnel! I put a rom together that should boot for you. If I didn't get to aggressive trying to get camera,video and sound working for you.

The best thing to do then is use minimal files to get it to boot and then work on fixing stuff. Give me a couple of minutess I'll work on getting something together to get minimal boot.

I understand. I'm going to pm you a link to some files. Put those files in an untouched TrickDroid rom. What we are going to try to do is get it to bootup. If we can get it booting then we'll have to start swapping lids and bins to get things working.

It also would be impossible to fit a rom the size of the sense 3.5 or 3d on our system partition. Someone would have to cut it in half.

Well if you check out android development, you'll see that we already have a ported full sense ROM but still it'd be nice if you made one too, so people can choose wich they want, so that we have more options

full sense implies: full rosie and widgets, all the lockscreens, cube animation, tabbed dialer/contacts, weather video and animations, 3d world clock/globe
sometimes roms advertise as being full sense when they arent...which leads to confusion amongst the end users

How did you port it? I made a port of my own ROM but its stuck in a bootloop I have to manually rebuild my own ROM
base is Latest One V 2.22.401 RUU with Desire X Counter Parts
Shubham, it'd be great if you could port that Rom, and i'll be happy to test it out

Greetings everyone,
Yesterday it itched me, there is no paranoid android for the hox+ as of yet! Thus it startled me to try to make my first rom port from the hox:silly:
Everything fine, I got all day, taking my time, comparing the roms etc etc.. You know how it goes haha!
So after some process and managing to get it booted and most things working, I can't get the Paranoid Preferences to work nor the System from the settings menu
I've uploaded the ROM, hopefully someone will be able to help me and otherwise I hope I got someone an awesome idea to do this properly and build it from source!:fingers-crossed:
I, unfortunately, do not have the resources nor the knowledge as of now to do this myself..
Rom download: removed
Any help or suggestions are welcome!

I'm pretty sure half of your problems are, that your using lloirs CM framework, the prefs.apk will need the PA framework porting.

Yea, tried porting the framework from the PA rom but it wouldn't boot up.. Made a logcat but I'm still too noobish to make out of what the culprit was haha
I'm guessing building from source would take care of these framework problems etc?

Apologies for that, was also merely trying to get this working for personal use. Seeing as it's an outdated version of Paranoid Android, I'm guessing the demand for this would be minimum.

Why this question mate, i am very satisfied with the performance of the phone, i come from Sony Xperia Sola and trust me - you dont know what is bad performance and lag...
Im asking, because Im pretty sure that each rom has a different performance. For example, ROM with lots of stuff has lower performance for sure.
I did benchmark, now i have mysensedx jb with full sense and I get less score than when I had nonsense revolution.
So, can someone tell me, on what ROM u have expirienced the best performance ?
You should better wait for CyanogenMod 10.1, which will be ported to Desire X after we get our 3.4 Kernel. After that, I will think about rooting my phone and use it. :laugh:

Searched a lot, only critical point i found, venom developers need a full sense device, and we need their ok to port.
mySENSE-dx RC3.5 by ckpv5 is a smooth full sense rom, so we have to ask venom for porting permission.
Am i right? Or is the main problem somewhere else?

Is mySense-dx Rc3.5 not fully working??
I think Venom Rom uses Sense 5, which isn't fully working until now.

I would like to ask which ROM are you prefering for best use for Desire X. I know they are a couple of ROMs, but which would be the best, i need something that is small whitout ****s like facebook,twiter etc. apps and which is working best, Now i have original 4.1.1, its fine, but if is something better here on forum i would like it . Tnx.

This is not allowed on xda, no best roms (even userwise) questions.
I only suggest you to try some different roms and see which one you like the most

Ok yes sorry, maybe really stupid question but i am like really new i android world from yesterday and have no ideas what which rom has and etc... and some sugestions about that would make me changing rom really usefull. Maybe just some hints would be enough.

Look in the rom threads, the first post tells you what kind of rom it is and what it has. Like SuperSENSE-dx5 is a sense 5 rom for the Desire X

get root explorer from play-store for little money. now you may delete unintentional apps from /system/app (kernel must have no-write-protection feature.
