I have Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro sk17i phone.I had android 2.3.4 installed when i bought the phone and it was upgradeable to 4.0 so i updated it officialy using SUS but am unsatisfied with it and want to get official 2.3.4 version hich came with my device.I had taken backup of the following info before i updated it.I took it so that it can beof some use in emergency like this as i want to downgrade using generic/official version and not by rooting.So which firmware do i exactly need to install?

I have the st15i xperia mini with unlocked bootloader. I already tried some ROMs but they all had bugs so I installed the stock ROM again. But now the ICS update came from sony and I cant upgrade. It says that I have a changed version of the firmware. Is it maybe the bootloader that makes the problem or something else??!!

so when i connected it to the pc . the sony pc companion comes up
and telling me that there is new android software is avaliable for your phone
so can anyone tell me what is that update ????

It might be a small patch ove ICS.. don't expect JB for tipo

You have got Factory buildversion as 11.0.A.1.8 on your Xperia Tipo Dual
As sony itself provides updates to their user, So what u are viewing is and message to inform you about update.
You can update it using Pc Companion.
Choose to keep data other wise you will loose things on your device. Choose update option.
The Update you viewing is a TFT update from Sony
The New Buildversion would be 11.0.A.6.5
Android version after this update will remain same as 4.0.4
hey, i flashed an official stock rom,android JB 4.1.2 / 6.2.B.0.211 then i re-locked bootloader and now am trying to update to 6.2.B.1.96 using Update Center on phone and Sony PC Companion and both failed to update

I've tried rooting it but i'm always stuck at the backup and restore thingy. It won't show on my phone as I can't find it.

You cannot use bin4ry root with restore for gingerbread. Upgrade to ics and try again.
