[Q] Xperia S + Windows 8 + Fastboot. How to get it working?

How to get Fastboot working in Windows 8 with the Xperia S? Somebody already got it working?
I installed PC Companion, Flashtool, Android SDK+adb. Everything works: I can connect through adb. Flashtools works in flashmode.
EXCEPT: fastboot...
Fastboot just won't see any device in Windows 8. How to fix this?
On my other computers/OSes it works without problems.

got the same problem on my xperia ray
I had this problem earlier.
Well windows 8 does allow unsigned fastboot drivers to get installed. I'm assuming u r installing drivers from file in flashtool folder.
Follow the procedure in This link to disable driver signatures.
Reboot system after procedure done, then install the fastboot drivers they should work fine.

Thank you, this method worked!
(Previously I disabled the driver enforcement through the command shell with 2 commands. But apparently that did not work.)

Remove and reinstall htc synce manager (and HTC drivers) and try again with htc sync manager closed
still having the problem
Try a different USB port, unistall drivers, reboot and then install (if it still doesn't work try an older version)....... The older ones should work (im using older drivers as I also had this problem) if still not then use a card reader
Sent from my HTC Desire X
that wont really help cos i need to flash recovery.img
You need to install fastboot drivers for windows, they're here somewhere at xda. Or if you have admin access at your PC and a free usb flash drive or cd lying around, you can try my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2410560

No PM for support please. Whatever your problem is post it here and also don't open too many threads for one related problem.
Your main problem is not reading carefully what people is saying to help you.
I don't know why you did this "google usb drive installed". I don't see anybody and myself said you need to install google USB driver. You need HTC USB driver

I asked and told you before ... check Device Manager, do you have My HTC under Android USB devices but you never answer that
Also check whether you laptop USB is USB3.0 or USB2.0; fastboot has problem on USB3.0
The vertical bar on the side is indicating that it is flashing something. How did you get fastboot usb now? Did you try my guide?
No, I dont see android USB devices in my device manager.

If you don't have those fastboot will not work, try a usb 2.0 port and let the driver install before you falsh something (the HTC driver not the google driver)
Then can I just flash the hboot 1.20 ruu for cid_044 to automatically restore stock recovery?
Ok could someone please tell me how to flash stock recovery.IMG for ICS on a brand new pc?

Driver Fix for Windows 8.1 after Update (Fastboot)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49131915
If you are getting "device failed enumeration" in FASTBOOT USB.
Download the USB.zip from the link above.
Unzip and run the EXE
Note: It didn't copy the files for me, so once it opens the system files copy the 2 sys files over and reboot.
Once you reboot just plug in the USB and it will work.
Note: This is for WINDOWS 8.1 after UPDATE Fastboot bug!
Must also have Normal Htc Usb drivers installed.
Mdmower 8.1 htc drivers: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3mywbswsomwkih2/HTC Driver 4.10.0.001.exe
i copied the files in windows/system 32 ...nothing works still

[Q] Can't boot on fastboot xperia mini st15i/smultron

Guys, I have a xperia mini st15i device with CrDroid 4.4.4 KitKat Rom. Recently I tried to flash RR Lollipop roms Kernel on my device. But I failed to boot on fastboot mode over and over again. I have tried different cables, different usb even different pc's. But all the time i tried to connect it to usb cable holding volume up button the blue light( which is counted as a signal of fastboot mood) blinks once and phone went into charging mood. If i connect it on flashtool, flashtool recognise my device. If i try to boot device into fastboot via adb through flashtool it just lost connection with phone and phone goes into regular boot.
Guys please help me with this.what can i do now? what i am doing wrong? I am totally stucked with this since last few days.
