boot animation
Hi . My phone is rooted and currently using stock. I followed your instructions quite carefully not to make any mistakes. However after following everything and rebooting device it did not work. Now when I switch the phone on all i get is a blank screen. I can hear the boot sound but thats it and the phone starts up as normal.
One thing that did confuse me a little was when you said 'back up' and delete. So what I did was cut and paste in to sd card as a back up just incase and deleted it from the way you said in the instructions.
After it didnt work so I decided to put everything back in its normal folders and now the normal boot animation doesnt come either.
What do you think ive done wrong? Please advise......that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Faz

@faisalo: Hi, did you set the permissions of your bootanimation.zip to rw-r--r-- ? That made it working on my phone.

Ok, some questions:
How exactly did you restore everything ?
In /system /bin , did you rename the file samsungani to booanimation , back?
And then restored the original samsungani ?
And in /system /media did you restore both .qmg files?
And btw, which booanimation.zip did you use?
.

hmm thats strange, maybe try redownloading and reapplying the animation or you could try and put it in the system->media folder.
Also for anyone else that is following my thread, I will have atleast two more boot animations up and atleast one other moboot theme.

Neither of your suggestions made any difference.
I've tried another 2 different boot animation files from the Rootzwiki forums and they also appear with the wrong orientation so it looks like it's a problem with my Touchpad and not your file.
I'm using your Moboot file and it's working perfectly and the latest version of Moboot itself (0.3.5)
EDIT A reinstall of CM solved my problem - All working as expected.
Added three new Touchpad Optimized boot animations, and another Moboot Theme. All made by me. Hope you guys like them.
I like the first one. Pretty sickk! Nice work
Cool
Nice and clean. I like the device morph/evolve concept.
Fyi ics and gb orients boot ani differently.
Its not the tp. Ics needs to be packed counter clockwise and resolution set to 1024 768 on desc. And gb welll. Portrait and 768 1024

Ah so that's why people with GB are having trouble with orientation possibly
Can't update boot ani
Runnin CM9 Alpha .5
Strange thing, when I try to install the explosion zip from CWM, it says installation aborted at the end and doesn't change the boot. I have successfully flashed a number of other boot animations.
Any ideas?

i tried it in my rooted x8 running on gingerelite v2 2.3.7.... neither did it work when i placed the zip file in /system/app with changed permissions.... Nor did it install when i manually unzipped and tried to install the defaulttheme.apk..... Am i doing something wrong? Should i delete the defaulttheme in system/app? Should i extract it and then place only apk file in system/app
Help would be appreciated cuz i really like ur theme from the screenshots
Awesome man realy good work :good: n thanks for sharing

[Theme Xperia P ICS] - themed status bar, system user interface and a lot more

Hy, here is my theme for 544 Xperia P ICS ROM
I changed thousands of icons and in my opinion it looks pretty cool. Now our awesome display show his white magic
Check the scrrenshots:

Installation files (v2 with brygse correction; thanx!):
http://www11.zippyshare.com/v/81347114/file.html
Install instructions:
put SemcClock.apk, Settings.apk, SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to /system folder and change permission to 644 (rw-r--r--) on all of them. Then move SemcClock.apk, Settings.apk and SystemUI.apk to /system/app folder and framework-res.apk to /system/framework folder. Once you have finished reboot the phone and enjoy in theme
Do you hate that we cant change alarm ringtone? Yes, don't worry! I change the default alarm ringtone directly in SemcClock.apk file together with stock blurred wallpapers
Note: it works for locked and unlocked bootloader devices. You only need to have ROOT access!
A lot of icons are borrowed from other ROM-s so full credit for them goes to their makers!
Nice work! Thanks!

Great job! Thank you very much! :good:
But there is a small note: the player control buttons on the lock screen.
Take these files, and paste into your framework-res.apk as is. It will be like here.
White Magic?!
Excuse me, but why do you speak about white magic, your theme almost as much dark as stock. To fully use WM it must be as much light as possible.
Boot Loop after used Root Explorer move SemcClock.apk, Settings.apk and SystemUI.apk to /system/app folder and framework-res.apk to /system/framework folder

Thanks for the awesome theme. :good:
Were can find your Weather Widget? It's verry nice
Thanks again !
Nice work. I'll try tommorrow on my Xperia P.
2 questions
1. Is in toggle bar a button for 2G/3G network mode? Is very usefull for me.
2. Can you do this patch to be flashable? From CWM (recovery mode). It's better to do like that because in case that something is not work is easy to go back if you post a stock patch too. I done in past on other xperia trought root explorer and after I finished to move the files in the specified folder, in case of something is wrong I'm stuck in FC loops and can't restore the old files to fix the problem.
Pls tell me which theme s that is shown in the screenshots??

E450 components on E460 presents some bugs, like some strings in wrong places.
EX: instead of "Reboot" it says "Cancel"
It seems that we must build stuff for each device separately. Still good work man.
Thanks Man.
Your mods are first class.
I hope you dont mind if I make some modifications on top of yours?
Keep up the good work. looking forward to seeing your thanks meter rise.
give me your LGSystemUI and frameworks on a link and we will gladly do a similar mod

Here is the Transparent SystemUI no Qslide
Could you make a guide on how to do it by myself?
I installed your Transparent LGSystemUI + lge-res.apk + Contactsbin.apk (had to delete contactsbin.odex for it to work however when I look at the contacts list it's all black and can't see any names
I tried again with just LGSystemUI + lge-res.apk (didn't touch contactsbin files - left as stock) but still same thing has happens.
Any idea why this is happening? maybe font or something?

I tried replacing and clearing the data and I can now see my contacts but under call logs tab it does the same thing. If I hold my finger on a contact I can see who it is so it's not really that bad now.

Hey buddy, I forgot to copy the original LGSystemUI.apk and just overwrite it. Since then SystemUI has crashed.
I even tried to factory reset but no luck. Can you please provide me the original apk, so that I can replace it again.
Any another suggestion?
Thanks in anticipation.
