Is there anyone on Verizon that is in a Extended network that is experiencing call issues? I can receive calls but cannot make calls (account validation error) while roaming on sprint towers. I also cannot enter the service menu via the dial screen, and was wondering if this is something Verizon disabled....

well...is there anyone with a Verizon note 2 that has used service codes via the dialer successfully?

Ok so I am encountering a little problem here.
1 - I do not have a data plan (which is why I picked up the ATT version of the GS2)
2 - I am on T-mobile
3 - I am not able to send or receive pic messages
I turned off my mobile network data on my t-mobile phone but would still be able to send/receive texts.
Anyone have any idea of what is going on?
You turned off mobile network that's why

I've used AT&T windows phones in the past on Tmobile (and vice versa) and usually you have to change quite a bit to get it to recognize the network properly, like the address it uses for mms. Idk if it's the same with Android.
I am in japan and can't get my phone to make calls or send SMS. I can receive SMS and some times get calls. I get a busy tone and a pop up error saying "network busy"
I talked to global support about this and they said that the phone should work on the CDMA networks here but thinks that being that this is a new phone it may have problems actually accessing the networks*cough* B#llSh*t *cough*... They didn't have much else they said they could do to help. I had to use Google Voice to call them...
Can some one help me figure out how to choice what network i use to roam on. I have gone in the the *#*#4637#*#*->Phone Info and tried changing the "set preferred network type" with no luck
Also tried this(found from google search):
A. From the phone pad enter *#*#4636#*#*
B. This should show a screen with a number of options, choose "Phone Information"
C. From the Phone info screen use the menu key to bring up the menu and select "select radio band"
D. Select "JAPAN band"
E. Your phone should connect straight away.
But i do not see the "select radio band" option from that menu.
Any Ideas? Big thanks to anyone that can point me toward a solution!
There is very little CDMA as we know it here in the US in japan. Mostly in airports alone or common international ports. Who told you you could use a CDMA in japan without an issue? Wifi is going to be your only friend there. The Rezound is by no means a global phone. The sim card is for LTE only.
Also... The rates are outrageous for calling. Receiving a text is not bad. Just wifi skype or google voice it.
Yea very true the rezound or any vzw lte phone is not a world phone. Unless the country is on the same band as cdma then there's nothing that can b done.

The VZW rep said so and so did their web site ( I can't post links here yet... http: //b2b. vzw. com /international/Roaming/Asia-Pacific/Japan.html or google verizon wireless cdma japan)
I was skeptical to hear it but just went with it. My boss has a VZW CDMA non global phone and can make calls but has problem with the SMS out. The price the my companys problem... So I got a temp rental for the trip just wish i could have mine working!
I am getting signal and can recieve SMS and Calls so i must be on some type of network in the right CDMA Band...
Would probably be easier if you are just visiting there, to get a global phone as a secondary phone and buy a prepaid sim when you travel.
I can actually roam with my SPRINT (CDMA) HTC EVO in Tokyo. On Sprint website, it says I can receive text msg but not sending one. Calling/Receiving call is no problem.
Just got an HTC One made for T-Mobile and when I insert my mirco sim I get a WiFi Calling Error: ER05 and get zero service. The phone recognizes the phone number on my sim. Is there a solution to this problem? I'm on 4.1.2. The IMEI also checks out on T-Mobile's website.
Maybe I should just re-word the entire thing by saying I get limited service but zero bars, but it says emergency calls only. The previous owner had T-Mobile and it worked for them.
I'm just looking for a way for my T-Mobile HTC One to recognize that I have T-Mobile.

This is very simple fix.. the error is a WiFi calling error once u turn WiFi on it makes calls over WiFi only
The problem is you get the red WiFi icon and error cause u have to
Update your 911 emergency. address
Under your my tmobile app
Under services add your home address and Info then submit .

I've done this and the error goes away but still no service, it does however say emergency calls only.
Has anyone else spent a lot of time fiddling with getting the Verizon up and running on at&t or T-Mobile in the states? Has anyone else gotten LTE working through the hidden menus while maintaining the ability to set APNs? (I got the LTE allegedly turned on with GSM but was then unable to change or use APN). I have also had some issues getting the stock messaging app to correctly use the proper MMSC for MMS -- currently workaround using Go SMS Pro and its manual settings. Another issue I have is incoming caller ID with my at&t Sim comes in the format +7075551212 which results in an invalid callback.
Has anybody successfully resolved these issues? I'm on rooted stock ME7 and would assume this is a safe assumption for this thread.
With an unlocked bootloader I would think tmo WiFi calling would be possible by flashing or porting a tmo ROM. Does anybody have a WiFi calling workaround?

I have been using my i545 with a T-Mobile sim in the Seattle area for 2 weeks now. I was using the hyperdrive 9.1 ROM and a couple days ago switched to the Eclypse ROM. Both required adding the APN and neither giving LTE. There is another thread where a gentleman is attempting to shoehorn in a different radio but so far has only succeeded in bricking his phone, but I am holding out hope.
I have noticed that with hyperdrive the icons showed 3g 4g and HSPCA+ but on eclipse I only get the 3g icon for hspca+ and no icon for 4g or 3g on eclipse, which doesn't really bother me much but something I have noticed.
I have had zero mms sms issues i keep hearing about. I use the 4.2 AOSP messaging apk. I should note that my wife has a note 2 from verizon also running a tmobile sim and she had issues until i added the mms proxy info in the apn. Now she can send fine also. (i also had to delete the setup.apk to get rid of the sim notification on her pgone but not mine.)
One thing I am having an issue with is when I cycle the phone on and off. When it turns back on I get a notification that all calls are being forwarded to a 1800 number but when I click the notification it thinks for a bit then disables all 3 settings and the phone works fine.
I hope someone smarter than myself can figure this out. Our radios are supposedly able to pick up and frequency, so in theory it is possible. I tried to flash a 9500 ROM in hopes the radio settings would work, but was rewarded with a bricked phone and joy of an oden back up.
Hello all,
I have been unable to find a clear answer to this question--I hope you will bear with me:
I have a Galaxy Note 2 from Verizon running Android 4.3. Before leaving for a trip to India this week I confirmed with Verizon customer service that the phone was unlocked. In Delhi I purchased a local sim card (from Airtel) and inserted it. Voice and text work perfectly but the data plan does not. The sim works when inserted into other phones but not in this one. The Airtel techs cannot figure it out. I have access to the APN settings under the Mobile Networks menu and have edited the Name, APN, Server, APN type etc. as indicated by Airtel but no dice. When I go to "Select" it finds Airtel after some spinning and when I select Airtel from "Network Operators" I get a "registered on network" message but still can't get data.
Is it the case that Verizon locks the data on this phone? Is there any way for me to unlock this from India? I don't really know anything about rooting phones.
Any help appreciated!
I also use the same handset in India and use other operator sim...no trouble so far in data
