Does anyone of developers work on incorporating this feature into 4.1.2 or 4.2?

Um. Shostock3. K thx
As awesome as that is, the combination of a small screen (relatively) and a low resolution make this a bit unusable. Still, doesn't hurt having an awesome feature as true multitasking.
Its not bad for me since it is adjustable. Plus you can play a song on youtube and browse on internet or whatever you do
You can do it with Shostock3 and it can be disabled/enabled from notification toggles.

Yeah, I can't figure out the appeal of this feature on such a low resolution device.

Ok guys we've all read the reviews hyping the camera as one of the best on a phone available right now. There are a plethora of settings within the camera app, whether its exposure value, ISO, effects, etc.
Lets start with some of the settings you guys are using to provide the best quality pics
BTW, I'm no photographer, by any means, just trying to get the most out of this camera. Have at it.....
Anti shake and blink detection really improved my photos
grr.. just waiting for instagram to build a freaking app for the android.
i always leave iso at 100 though. auto iso is bleh.

Yeah Iso 100 looks a lot better
Eliminate delay
My camera has about a .5 second delay between focusing and taking the picture. Can that be eliminated?
shortcuts.. but I don't know why it deletes the shortcuts when I exit the camera app.
Second that .5 delay question, damn near impossible to get action shots.
Vignette seams to work without a delay.
Anyone know how to save your new edited shortcuts? Exiting the Camera app on task manager results in shortcuts being removed/deleted and have to put it on the screen again and again.
It automatically saves for me

I pretty much use all auto, no flash unless i HAVE to, and keep photo rez at the 2.4 wide. So far, so very very good.
ISO at 100. No auto anything except occasional auto focus. I've found the flash on this is far better than my point and shoot. It's a more natural white, and much brighter. Barely touches battery, too.
In fact, try turning on a flashlight app. I can go 3 minutes or more on 1% of my battery. 10% for half an hour isn't bad.
Can you guys aware me on these picture resolutions?
It seems like the 2.4M takes just as good pictures as the 8M does?

If you use GTG's NoNamed rom it will auto-save the camera shortcuts all the time.
(even if you force close the camera app using taskmanager).
If you want everything to work properly, why settle for anything less than the NoNamed rom......

Thanks a lot!
Not going to lie, going from the Galaxy S (Captivate) to this phone, they removed the "Add Me" feature which was pretty epic, but I guess the rest of the settings make up for it. Fyi, Add Me allowed for people to be duplicated among a picture extremely easily, but yeah, that's gone now...

Even lesser will produce as good pictures as the max one. Until you print them out/enlarge them.
Quality-wise, its all about the lenses and the sensor, not max megapixage a camera has, hence why most cells will never compare to POS or better cameras.
So, if you plan on viewing/printing pics on large mediums/high quality/large screen rez, you don't really need a large base image rez.
I like to use spot meter and the exposure compensation....
I usually ttake photos of items up close....

2nd that actually, I haven't really had ANY issues with anything on stock just yet.
Hi,
Anyone was able to use the zoom with the volume keys on the camera with CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1-Cooper-KANG or BehradGH Cyano Ace RC 2.1?
Lol, why zoom when it's only gonna be a digital zoom?
The resolution is set to max that's why ure unable to zoom.
And as an0nym0us_ said on ur other thread:
why does everyone seems to expect cm to behave like samsungs rom? its completely two different thing.
When it is at max resolution i know it has no zoom, but when i decrease the resolution i can zoom in the stock camera application, but in CM7 i't doesn't work
Dude stop weeping like a little girl!

Get the lg camera app from market. You need to learn to use alternatives and adjust.

Hi, i have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which i would like to change the Pixel Density of. It is rooted currently, but I just want to be able to read texts clearer and play my games and watch videos more sharp and crisp.. i know there are afew apps on the android market which can do this, but if i want clear/sharpness which is the recommended pixel density(240 is the default).
Also, i need something that will work perfectly on Galaxy S2, like, not make the widgets or icons or anything out of proportion...i want things to auto fit
It's in theory impossible since our display is 480 by 800.. If you want a better display sell your SGS2 and buy a Nexus
how is it impossible? there are apps which change the density...
cant i just use a custom home screen launcher?
have a look at hyperdroid. It is MDPI compatible
There is an app that magically creates more physical pixels on you screen? Wow how much is that and could it make my hdtv into a 3D tv too?.. Serious how do you think thats possible? If you want a better pixel density buy a phone with an hd screen because you definatly cannot change it...

no.

Unless I misunderstood your question, there is no way on gods earth that you can create more pixels (ie higher density) than what there physically is.
The best you can do is to max out the screen brightness which gives the illusion of a better picture.

Of course you can change the density, just edit system/build.prop with rootexplorer..
Despite the smart answers above, I know what you mean, and love this app on my Asus TF-101
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/change-android-screen-resolution-with-lcd-density/
http://www.redmondpie.com/change-sc...android-device-with-lcd-resolution-root-only/
No need for that much complication, you just need to decrease the pixel value, well you can do that by editing build.prop or just use a simple app from market called LCD Resolution (Root).
But no, how on earth would you technically increase dpi while I9100 is given a 480x800 resolution hardware wise.
Wish that was possible and I could made my 1680x1050 monitor a HD one
why you would like do that ?
yes, i'm courious too, why?
So someone mentioned to me of the "snapshot" feature in the ICS camera.
Feature being when you are recording Hi-Res you would be able to tap the screen a photo would be taken of that frame.
It is also mentioned here
For new flexibility and convenience while shooting video, you can now take snapshots at full video resolution just by tapping the screen as video continues to record.

and it is also mentioned here
Samsung-Flavored Ice Cream Sandwich for GALAXY S II
In charge of the GALAXY S II ICS upgrade, JiYong Oh says applying the Samsung UI was the main feature of this upgrade.
A few functions have been added. In addition to Face Unlock, Snapshot, Image Editor, a data usage monitoring application has been added as well for efficient data usage management. Also ‘Android Beam’ was added, for convenient sharing of web pages, applications, contacts, etc through NFC.

Now, in the roms ive test (LPQ,LP7,LP2,LP3) this feature isnt present. I was under the assumption that samsung skinned the ICS camera so expected this feature to be present.
is it possible to get this "ICS" camera onto our SGS2's? as a feature of ICS i dont see why this would be left out
You could try Camera ICS in the Play Store. I don't know if the snapshot function works because I'm on an AOSP 4.0 ROM and video recording doesn't work yet.
Searching the store didn't bring it up so here's the link.

Ive tried that, and it doesnt have the feature either...
the only thing i can find is an app made by sony called frame grabber
but its a paid for feature that SHOULD be in ICS - this is what bothers me
Hey PPL
Is it possible to get SGS3 features as "SmartStay" and "Direct Call" and "Popup Display" to SGS2, or are there different hardware requirements?.

Okay, so this features is only SW requirements, not HW requirements for SGS2
I was wondering about the camera app as well. I had a play with a store display unit and the camera had no shutter lag. Would be great to have that in the S2.
Already available...
Some GS3 mods can already be seen available in some forums....
Check this out

zero shutter lag is a hardware feature that is present in the galaxy nexus and s3. the s2 will never get that feature.
