[Q][SOLVED] games running slow on my LwW - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello
I have a WT19i Live with Walkman which is rooted and supercharged. Its running Real ICS 6 and KRSH kernel.
The ROM is wonderful...but the only drawback is that the games run too slow and stutter a lot.
Games like Subway Surfer and Temple run
earlier i thought it was maybe the games are on my SD card...but moving them to the phones internal memory didn't make a difference.
Is it because the phone is not capable enough( which i Really doubt)...or there is some problem with it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS tried searching for similar threads...couldn't find one

May be the supercharger script is not working properly thus causing problem..try to re add it again from the begining.you can also try to update your GPU driver from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32867696#post32867696 make a backup before doing anything

thanks for the reply!
the supercharger script runs fine...it says 100% supercharged whenever i run the script...
about the GPU drivers...i'm trying them out
Thanks!!
EDIT: WOW!! thanks....that seemed to work pretty well...now would try more games and would tell you the results...THANKS A TON!
please please please just let me know if these gpu files work independent of the rom
THANKS AGAIN!

Bro, krsh kernel is nt gud with RealICS so try different kernel, use kernel panic its best for gaming!

If nt recommended, its not a prob at all, u can use any ICS kernel with any ICS ROM, using other kernel is never a problem at all.

If you want to play, use Gingerbread and not ICS. ICS is not good for gaming, GB has a lot better performance.

1.6 to 1.8 ghz.. but i dont think it is advisable.. might cause overheating..
if u want just flash a kernel with OC..
and link2sd does speed up ur phone.. it did mine!
Stock ROM cannot be overclocked!
Custom kernels can be but they require unlocked bootloader!

Of course, unlocking bootloader for custom kernel is the best. Init.d and overclocking are probably the most effective. Not a single game lags on my phone. If not, the methods listed above should improve the performance somewhat.

My experience with Neo L (Neo L helping thread)

Hello Neo-L users. If you have any problem with your Neo-L, you can post it here.. Myself and some other Neo-L users will answer your problems.. Don't create a separate thread..
Before posting anything go through this thread : Phillip Wu's All in One thread for Neo L
Stock ICS experience:
Loads of bloatware from Sony... Couldn't play subway surfers, temple run without lag... Phone was playstation certified but games were so horrible.. I don't know abt all other games over there... Try out Subway Surfers, u will definitely feel horrible for purchasing this phone.. So much lag in opening apps... Internal memory filled for some 90 apps with most of them moved to SD Card... Dreadful experience... I chose NEO L over HTC ONE V... Felt bad for my decision...
Rooting:
This was not much of a hazzle.. Downloaded flashtool... Downloaded MT11i_4.1.A.0.562 kernel... Flashed it... Then went into flashtool... In that there was an option to root... Selected 'Force Emulator'... Rooting done... Flash back stock Neo L kernel..
Unlocking Bootloader:
Unlocked my bootloader by using Sony's Official Method... The kind of frustration I had on this phone, made me careless about warranty and all other ****...
Custom ROMs:
Development was poor for Neo L wen i rooted... Had a rough time in searching for custom ROMs... Well too much to eat ur heads so will cut down the things to simple...
Tigris Kernel : Good for Jelly Sandwich ROM and Paranoid Android ROM.. Wifi gives some issues in Jelly Sandwich.. Has overclocking and governers so its good to use with Stock ROM...
LuPuS Kernel : I love this kernel.. Increases Internal storage to about 600+ MB.. Jelly Sandwich wont work on this.. Paranoid Android also wont work, it will fix to landscape mode... Tried Play JB ROM with this kernel.. Worked well..
NXT Kernel : Jelly Sandwich works perfectly on this(NXT kernel was made for this).. Paranoid Android gives bootloop..
CM9 kernel : Paranoid Android works well only on this.. No bluetooth and wifi issues.. After some days of usage i experienced some force closes of games while using Paranoid Android..
Some Important Note:
1. PA will work well only on CM9 kernel.. In other kernels, it will give a bootloop or it will fix to landscape mode..
2. MIUI has its own kernel and ROM.. But difficulty in Multi-tasking.. Not much free RAM left for gaming... Featurewise it is awesome.. Atleast once you should try MIUI... It is worth it...
3. I am a big fan of Cosmicdan... His turbo kernel v3.1 with turbo UI v4 is running in my phone now... Awesome it is... Featurewise it is similar to MIUI plus gives a lot of space for multi-tasking and gaming... Instead of MIUI, you can go for this... Plus its JB...
4. I have tried to install Xperia Play PA JB ROM in my Neo L with some build.prop editing.. it installed well... but the sensors were not working... all were disabled... It worked fine for three four days... Then suddenly it became slow and gave random reboots... So try PLAY ROMs at ur risk...
5. I have tried porting Neo V ROMs to Neo L.. It didn't work.. Got upto bootlogo and sometimes to startscreen also... Couldn't go further... Porting is a difficult job, needs lot of patience... So respect devs and even those who port roms..
6. Read the thread fully before downloading ROM... You will get to know the issues that others experienced... You need not repent for downloading and finding out the issues urself....
Well, that was my experience with Neo L.. If you have tried any other Kernel-ROM combination and it is suitable for gaming then let me know... Let the new Neo L users have a happy rooting time...

Yeah the camera is working perfectly for me... Only one bug i found so far in Turbo UI.. In settings, under display settings there is 'launcher' settings tab.. If you try to open that, then settings will force close... i don't know y... That is why I am using some third party launcher instead of Zeam Launcher because it cannot be customized.. also it takes 40+ MB of RAM.. Not so good for gaming...
Rest all is perfect for Turbo UI.. If you get some FC's or if Wi-Fi doesn't turn ON then try the quick reboot.. It will solve the issues... Sometimes, some processes will be ending and FCs will be displayed.... Very rarely it happens... And my opinion is Turbo UI is the best for Neo L at present....:good:

I have Xperia Neo L too,

the best rom for gaming is CM 7.2.
I try some rom like optimaX (still wifi issue),. Miui v.4 (good but not for gaming and heavy app)
Stock Rom is tooooo many bloatware and cause slow speed.
Are you try turbo UI, if you say Turbo UI is the best for now, is that support gaming mode? or heavy app?
If it's smooth I will try that.

That's the question because all the roms based in CMX10 have CWM recovery. Anyway thank you very much Fera for your work, I'm gonna test it un your v23 right now :fingers-crossed:
Cm10? Hmm lets read the OP.... Yes! Feravolt wrote that it's should work on alle ROMS, so yes: it should work on CM10 too
Great that you'll look into this,Feravolt!
I'm on Cm10 right now, with your 1.7v kernel. We need xRecovery (like you wrote), but 1.7 has CWM.
We could do it manually (copy file an do some term commands)
Or can you provideus a cwm package?

Thanx Superman, but can you be more specific?
What ROM and kernel?
What are your settings (min/max, i/o)
More smooth than what? (clean ROM, Seeder, CrossBreeder, ?)
What is it that you find to be more smooth? (Apps starts faster, data in app loads afster, switching apps, screen response, etc.)
I really like to know the benefit you're experiencing.

But, yeah you gonna lost V20's battery tweak, i guess.

Just uninstall the seeder apk (if you using seeder apk) or manual delete seeder in init.d (system/etc/init.d) folder and rngd binary in system/xbin if you are using rngd binary that was provided by Ferakernel V3.6 Stock GB.

Just to clarify, this zip doesn't work for locked bootloaders right? becase locked bootloaders restrict flashing kernel? Using FeraLab Marvel v22 upgrading to v23 soon

Because the device goes into deep sleep. And you can overclock, if you want.
Btw, use Greenify... You can get it from the play store and kill unwanted apps to run in the background. Hope that works.

well i dont get that lag even without restarting device, whether im on ICS or GB,, (GB is surely faster on my mt25i) we both seem to have similar device, that link would help you, but be careful though
why not try clearing caches? have yout tried? or maybe you use too many applications that runs in background for example, a couple of messengers?

In this week I have tried nearly 6 roms..
*Play GB roms with Lupus Kernel
*currently - Xplay LITE ICS with Vengeance( Flashed 8 hours ago, installed no application, but when I tried to unlock the lock screen aftr 7 hours, result was same..very laggy. Wiped caches, data, sys etc .. )
With Stock rom there is no problem..even with MIUI + Turbo Kernel no issue was found and Roms like FXP,CM have no issue..
:'( please help me to sort this out..
Try flashing it to stock? If the outcome is the same maybe somethings wrong with hardware.. I really dnt know, guess u should ask for profesional help

Dear mate,if stock rom is better than the other rom for ur device,i suggest u to use stock rom....
Maybe with a few mod for stock rom....
U can experience with ur device to and if u used another custom rom for ur device and still have same problem, maybe u can ask the dev on the rom thread....
So the dev and other user can help u ...
Sorry about my English

Max 1113 MHz
Governor=ondemand
I also installed RAMEXPANDER, SEEDER and AdFree... Just visit PlayStore...

[DRIVERS][OFFICIAL] Adreno 205

Hello fellow XDA Members, i recently stumbled across Official drivers that were secretly uploaded by Qualcomm without much news about it, i have not tested them, but hopefully they increase our beloved Xperia Play's Performance alot on ICS...
Ive also cooked another version which is modded by me and should provide a tiny little bit more performance!
Anyways, would love if anyone can test and provide screenies of some benchs before & after!
Thanks to conformation from lovely forum members, it is only intended to work on ICS, try it on other versions of android at your own risk
Instructions:
~ Download the zip from the Attachements
~ Reboot to CWM
~ Flash it
~ Reboot
~ Reboot again
~ Enjoy!

Thank , i'm testing
Going to venture these are for ICS+? Also, what been changed in the modded version?
Edit - will test on GB and see how it goes, of course making a backup first.
can i use it in gb for incriesing perfomance?
Rom Racing Xplay
while flashing suddenly reboot
I will test this on GB, even though you said its for ICS. And will this work on JB on another 205 device?

Just tested, no your phone will still work but just like all other Adreno GPU updates it makes the phone run super slow in everytthing from screen swipes to especially games.
Did someone try this on CM10 or any other JB rom we have? Generally, does this work on JB at all?
It shows, that drivers obliviously doesnt work on gb, so android uses software renderer.
Where did you find this driver? I don't see any new Adreno drivers on Qualcomm Adreno page. Only those from april..

I tried running it on JB (CM 10 MaXeD) and all it did was slow down the phone to the point where I couldn't unlock.
On CMDA if it matters.
