I feel all of your pain. I'd fall down & cry in the middle street if my phone would come back alive. I just gave $599.99 on June 26th of this year. Mine is graveyard dead too. I have a jig too and it does nothing on my phone after this.
The phone beeps? Can you better describe whats happening and on what machine?
No offense, but I don't understand your logic. The price you paid is irrelevant. You ostensibly bought a working product, which you immediately attempted to modify, and you made a mistake and broke it.
It seems to me that you're trying to assign blame to someone other than yourself.
To the OP, you could try a JTAG. I suggest coming clean to your father outright - accept responsibility and move forward with a solution.
If the JTAG doesn't work, Samsung may or may not be willing to repair it for a price.
Good luck.

No, not at all. The computer tries to connect to it over & over and it wants me to to reformat one drive over & over as long as it connected. It's bricked.
It is completely hard bricked. I had the same exact thing. From flashing the same exact rom. About 2 weeks ago.
The phone shows no sign of power whatsover. When you plug it in to the PC however, it asks if you want to format E... then again.. and again... keeps repeating until you unplug the phone regardless of if you click yes or no, it will keep asking until there are hundreds of windows that all say "Do you want to format E"
Mobiletechvideos did infact fix it with their jtag repair, but this is THE ONLY way to fix. Jig does not work.
Sorry bud but I know your exact feel. Because I seriously did this exact same damn thing 2 weeks ago

JTag will still fix it dude. It will cost you $50 but.. that's 1/12th what you paid for the phone so... Head to mobiletechvideos and have em fix it up for you.
The the OP - the first thing you need to do is change your thread title. You bricked your phone, not xyz rom. Don't disparage the developers name by claiming their rom ruined your new device.

Brad, that makes as much sense as anything. I plan on only using links from here from now on. Seems to be safer.
JTAG is the way to go.... I installed an international ROM to my rogers note. Total hard brick. It wouldn't do a thing. Sent it to mobile tech videos and they sent it back 100%. Well worth the $50...... good luck.
my phone also got hard bricked.. can u say how to recover my galaxy note i717

If your phone is hard bricked and shows no signs of life you will need a JTAG service. The one that I know of is mobiletechvideos.com and its going to cost you about 50 bucks

The SGS2 is almost brick proof in my experience. The only problem you could face is if you have non official stuff and and your bin counter is not at zero they could,if they can get into it,send the back unfixed.Ive had an SGS1 fixed by a JTag as I said before and the SGS2 also can be done.So if they send it back its an option to look at.My SGS1 was my own screw up but it cost 35 euros + postage so worth it.The link is on page 1 although you might google up a place closer to home as its an old link.

This is partly why I dont trust Gameloft, its really probably not the game at fault, I just dont like the way they do business. None of the relatively new games I bought will run unless i edit build.prop and the market lists as incompatible yet if you go to their mobile site THOSE SAME GAMES ARE BEING SOLD FOR THE LTE AND RUN PERFECTLY...sorry just had to
It may not be your fault at all, a lot of first batches had this problem. The phone shuts off like its going to reboot, and it hangs before anything can start up. I have a cousin who hates sprint so much he opened the phone and pulled the battery just to avoid making a trip and luckily it did restart but I really would not recommend that because its not guaranteed
Guys I need help here. I just rooted my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500), and it was fine for a few hours...but now it just wont turn off.
Even when the screen times out.
Even when I press the power button.
It will just stay on no matter what. (Interestingly, long pressing the power button does bring up the power dialogue!)
I did not flash any Custom ROM. I did not even install any recovery! The only tinkering I did was Setting cpu speed using Tasker...
Guys please help...I'm in trouble...
If the kernel you used is uncompatible or if its a stock kernel, you will get issues, also if you set the frequency to high for your phone,it will give issues,Look @ this.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727171
