Hello, did you try another same file,or install without market,if you download from market please, search the APK on the web and put to your sd and install manualy ( just tap on the apk file and install ) or if you do that and the same error appears, try another ROM and see if the error persists
just a bad flash i think. reflash the rom properly.

Which Kernel are you using? I have flash two times but I still have this problem after one week.
Sometimes I also experiencing the same on the stock ROM. It look like caused by low of internal space. Try to uninstall some of the apps and download the apps again..

Glad to hear that
Nope, it not caused by the low of system memory, it is only because of low internal storage

If you said internal storage, I don't know why is low.

On the post above you said you have uninstall some application and now you are able to download the file =.="
So, now what is your problem?
EDIT:
Your /system storage low maybe caused by you integrating updated apps into system, and normally it's depend on the ROM you have used because there are a different apps installed on the system on each ROM(correct me if I wrong). I think low /system storage will not have a negative effect on your phone. Mine are only 18MB free on my /system because I install many apps and some mods on it.

Sounds that there are too many files in your system partition.
Try to delete some "system" apps, which are available (and can be re-installed) from the Market, such as Google Maps, etc..

I have had the same problem for weeks and tried all the suggestions I could find on the Internet, nothing worked. Then I found a posting explaining that a possibility would be to move the default installation location to the sdcard. So I used the terminal emulator (rooted phone), to check the current setting first. It was already redirected to external memory, so I tried to change it back to internal memory (Command: "pm set-install-location 1"), which solved the problem!!!! I now can install in internal memory, using link2sd I keep the internal usage to minimal, problems solved! :good:
Hope this helps,
Peter

hey guys
I'm using CM9 Unofficial Rom I downloaded here at XDA and started having the problem of insufficient space, modified so that all installations were made in external sdcard, but besides not making installations in the external, also can not move apps to the using external programs since they are not external sD.
showed that one of the programs I'm using an emulated sd (you may be using the webtop by partition).
Anyone have any tips to solve this? I liked the CM9, I would not have to re-stock
sorry for my english. Gtt
thnx
already found out about the limitation of the second partition.
installed on the first partition and I'm having the same problem.
I need help because it already formatted both cards also cleaned all the caches and wipes ... but nothing is working.
You converted the Rom?
I got it on 1st System and all fine here :good:
Got Max Payne & Co installed, so enough Space i guess.

yes
I converted in bootmenu
If I uninstall a program can not install the same program.
and if I change the installation path, do not install anything else.
complains that do not have enough space.
after the error,
managed to install major mayhem and Real Racing 2.
no problem, but I'm trying to reinstall FPSE (PSX emu) and not install, error no space, then try to install any other program and runs normally
irrespective of size.
I realize that if you uninstall the program can not install again.
You're using an actual release? CDMA or GSM?

hi everyone,
my problem is like this,
i install an apk, but the apk will be installed into the sd card automatically. it is fine, as the apk still can be run probably.
however, when i reboot my S2G, the apk's icon will be missing. then i move the apk from sd card to the phone and the problem appears, the apk size is smaller and unable to run. WHY?
though, the apk still can be run if it is moved back to the sd card.
anybody helps please.....

Hi, thank you too =D
i tried just now, same problem remains :crying:
Hello!
I cannot update any installed app from Google Play Store.
After the download has finished, the installation fails with this error:
Insufficient memory available
Checking the memory from settings, I get this overview:
Internal memory
Total 2GB
Available 196MB
Internal memory SD
Total 12GB
Available 8GB
When I start an installation of a new app, there's no error of insufficient memory.
My conclusion is, this cannot be a memory leak.
However, the main question is:
Why are any updates from Google Play Store failing?
THX
-Reflash the rom with a fullwipe..
- or you flash the wrong gapps, search for official gapps
But you should ask this in the right thread like Q&A or in cyanogenmod thread.

next time before you post something use GOOGLE its already solved only search...I think lucky patcher have solution for that
Actually I used Google search for a solution of this issue.
Unfortunately I didn't find one that explains the root cause of the problem and provides the suitable solution for it.
In my opinion it's insufficient to follow the approach of wiping the flash and reinstalling the image + apps.
Nobody can guarantee that this approach would actually resolve the problem and not only heal it for the moment after the reinstallation.
Therefore I would prefer to understand the root cause.
You mentioned that "lucky patcher" has a solution for that... is this solution available in the forum here? Is "lucky patcher" the user name?

1) go to data/app folder and see if u have any .ODEX file pertained to those app/apps which r giving u trouble in update vide store's and delete the same, and then try updating.
2)also u can clear DATA/CACHE of 'playstore' and 'Google service framework' then reboot ur phone and then try.

Alternative 1 is the solution here. It has always been problems with those darn .odex files when it comes to the "insufficient storage" in google play.

There are no *.odex files in /data/app.
The Cache of Google Play Store and Google Service Framework is allocating very little memory (see screenshots attached).

Thanks! Option 2 took care of me.
If there are no *.odex files on the device and the cache is close to empty, what else can cause this error message?

Even if cache is close to empty, still wipe it. Also wipe the data of those apps and then reboot your phone.
I fixed the problem by flashing new image and reinsallation of all app using Titanium Backup tool.
A bit too late, but maybe helpful for someone else. I had this problem in the past, too. It turned out, that the (buggy) kernel filling up the space with logs. After installing a newer rom I never had the problem again..

There' s no need to reflash...
Just empty the logs on your android, it will free up to 300mb aprox. then, problem solved. The logs will be generated again for the things that matter, but i assume you have never emptied your logs.

I don't think there's just one solution to this. For me, I had to clear out the matching app-lib folders to fix it.
