Music,Photos,Videos,Ringtones Randomly disapearing - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

For some reason, one day when i put new music on my phone ( do this by mounting as disc drive and copying the music into a folder on my SDCard ) it was loading the music but alot of the music was missing nearly half of all the songs i had were randomly gone. ( not just the new music i put on but old music as well ) In order for me to fix it and get it back onto my phone i had to completely remove the music folder on my sd card and recopy the entire folder which still sometimes removes my music causing me to recopy the folder multiple times until i have all the files back.
This not only happens to my music but my photos, ringtones and videos are dissapearing as well.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or know of any possible solutions to fix this problem?
It gets annoying having to resync my entire music folder again just to get my songs back on it
Or maybe there is an easier/safer way to sync music to my device?

Media Scanning Takes Forever...

Whats up with when you add new files to your SDcard it takes forever to index in your music player? As in hours or days... and sometimes they won't even show and I'll have to move my entire folder to and from computer or internal memory until they do show. It's done this with every memory card/firmware I've been on since getting this phone and it only does it to music.
what music player are you using? Or do they even show in the sd card?

How I put music on now is just through windows media center. I find the song and it syncs it. Works like a charm every time.
I tried just dragging and dropping movies onto my sd card but I could NEVER find them when I wanted to watch them. So I just stick with windows media player to sync all my stuff now...
Create a music folder on your sd card, move music to that folder, should show up with google music app. at least it does every time for me.
Yea got a music folder my_music (thats what a couple people said to do) and like I said the phone won't find it unless I keep moving it back and forth until it finally appears on the music player.
Happens with every music player.
Your phone should scan every time it boots do if u download a bunch of songs do a quick reboot and all the files should show.
Its just the way the x2 scans for music. We don't have the same type of media scanner other phones have. I am pretty sure the scan is being.done when u see the reparing sdcard " on top when u first boot.

Music not being found immediately

Anyone else having an issue with their media (specifically music) not being found in media player immediately? It takes a good 10 minutes for me (or a reboot). :'(
It happened to me before. I just moved all the media to the internal memory and everything is always there.

No... don't think so. I have mine in a folder on my external sd that I made called MUSIC and also have mp3s in another folder called LECTURES and it finds all of them.
Sometimes the widget says "no music available" or something and tells me to go to the library then when I go into the app it's all right there.
Nope and up until just recently I have always kept all my music on my external (SD card) storage. I moved my music to my internal storage and still don't have any problems.
Only time I recall ever having an issue was when there was an issue mounting the SDcard itself due to the ROM.

Double musicfiles in Winamp, Apollo

I have a SGS2, with an internatl 16GB storage (sdcard) and aswell an external sdcard (emmc). I have all my music in the external sdcard, as mp3-files. Every now and then, I suddenly have everysong doubled in Winamp 1.3.2. It seems that android make a shortcut to the orginal files, but shows it as a musicfile. When I try to play a playlist, winamp crashes when it gets to the shortcutfiles...
I must say, I am using CyanogenMod 9 för my phone.
I really want to know why this is happening, and hove to solv it, because today I have to delete all music from withion winamp, and then copy all mp3-files back on the external sdcard.
well is a known AOKP/CM) issue. it can happen every time in a while, every 2 seconds or never again. it's pretty annoying but it has no permannent fix for now.
but, there is a quick way to fix it without deleteing ur files.
u have to go to app settings-->"all" tab-->delete data from your players (winamp and apollo) and delete data from media storage.
then reboot and let it settle for a few minutes (whatever it tooks media scan to re-scan all ur files.)

[Help] Old music not showing up in file manager(s), but is found in media players

Hey guys
My S3, running Jellybam 6.3.0, works fine, but there is a little issue that I'm experiencing
and it's become pretty irksome.
I had 8gb of music on an iPod that I transferred to my PC, then to and SD card, which I now use for my GS3.
All of my past music appears in music players and play fine, but any new music that I download from the phone doesn't show up.
I thought maybe the music players weren't scanning for mp3 files in the download folder, so I decided to move them from the downloads folder
to my Music folder with all my other files.
Here's the problem:
The file manager doesn't seem to "see" for find any of the old music, despite all of the media players finding it no problem.
Also, any new music I download can be searched for an played in a music player, but it is never added to the library.
I decided to mount my phone to my PC do double check, and all of my music is there in the Music folder, which is on the root of my sd card.
Has anyone else had this issue

Did you try to wipe data and install everything again??
Might be a DRM issue?

General music management and sync question.

I know I sound crazy but I am starting to miss Itunes. I had my MP3 folder with a batch of copied stuff from my main archive. It was organized for Windows. Most of the time Itunes was easy to use in that I droped the folder into it and made it my default folder so I could delete stuff from the MP3 folder via itunes it processed it and bam working very few issues. I never got duplicate playlist had some improperly removed mp3 files which stuck in itunes.
Right now I am having so many issues updating my mp3's and playlists and with duplicate playlists, empty playlists its driving me nuts. How do you manage and sync songs for android without a ton of issues? I was jsut copying the folder over but the dump way android handles files I can not use my windows sync programs. I got tired of it screwing things up so I tried winamp and it just had to sort everything in a horrible incoherent manner(album/artist folders ,ect) and that did not fix any of my issues. Out of the few players I like I like Shuffle and Rocket player but as far as I understand it they don't control anything they just play. Right now I have 50GB of mp3's on my micro sd card and its reporting 80k music files.... its nonsense....
I am just so lost.
