I`m using MIUI_polimorph_ rom for about 2 months and I love it!!! thank you for your work! its great!
the thing is that since 2.11.23 i have a sound problem: I`am using "spirit fm light" app for Fm Radio, and since rom 2.11.23 after the first call I hear nothing, no pulse tone and no in call sound. I saw the answer in your thread and tried it (touch tone/screen lock) but nothing! even after i reboot. so now I`am using 2.11.9 v4 Rom and its great, but I would like to update it. Does any body knows something about it?

i've noticed that after i upgraded my rom to wm6.1, my ringtones sounded like the chipmunks. Is this a bug?

yup, but it still sounds the same
which ROM did you use? one of lomlom's rom gave me the highpitched ringtone (and in audiomanager as well.. all the sogns were in a high-pitch)

I installed the latest Wolfbreak rom and the problem is that my alarm, ringtone etc. comes trough the ear speaker instead of the speaker where it should comes from.
I installed DPS manager,but this made my phone not starting up anymore.
What should I do?

Go to settings and choose CyanogenMod Settings!
Try reinstalling rom worked for me

Same problem.I have Soundhound.
found the solution
uninstall shazam or soundhound and reboot!
TalkBoxApp also causes this problem
Cyanogen Mod
Settings > Cyanogen Mod Settings > Sound > [Tick whichever you want] Always player on speaker - Ringtone - Notifications - and something else I forgot :L
i get that problem on J's CM7..
I just plug in a headphone and remove it, and the audio then routes back to the speaker..
Dont know if it helps but works for me..
So... i´m on the new wolfsbreak´s gingerbread v.3.7 rom, same problem for me, sound comes from the ear speaker. Uninstalled soundhound and worked again as it should.
Question: will i ever be able to use soundhound??...

Soundhound might always cause this...
Try Shazam instead!
I am having the same problem with the sound coming from the ear speaker
I am also having problems with force closes, Facebook connections (the background sync) fail, and I can't pair with a Bluetooth hands-free device. (if it is compatibility can this be modified rom?) I would greatly appreciate the help, as I have dug through threads and threads of threads. Googled the issues, through different descriptions, both detailed and simple, and I could not find any resolutions, regarding these issues.... please help, otherwise the ROM is Great....

But i had it working on the past rom (v.3 i guess) and no strange things with the speaker came out... it was until 3.7.
And for the comments above... maybe shazam has the same effect..

Guys! plz help it seems that I am not getting any sound from my phone speaker.The problem occurred when I was doing some adjustemt in dsp manager in perpectpeso rom v2.2 while playing a music.After the adjustment. I was able to listen the music for few minutes but after that I couldn't hear any sound even my notification or ringtone.Then I switched into another rom and the problem. still exists. so guys plaz help me.I am currently on oxygen 2.6.

friend done everything basic things like wiping, reset etc still no luck
i hope its not a hardware fault try flashing stock 2.2/2.3 using kdz or lg mobile update tool. if that doesnt help then mayb we will have to look into kernel log dmesg or logcat and see .
can you hear earpiece sounds (call sounds)?
if you can hear call sounds it is not a Hardware problem in-cause if you could't hear you have to replace the speaker.
I am also using perfectpeso and same thing heppen to me but i restart my phone and everything is normal.
Do you see anything unusual or related to sound/dsp in your logcat? Better yet, could you post a logcat?

Hoping someone will have an answer. Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 (US Version) (Rooted) Everything Stock (ROM and Kernel)
All of a sudden, the device earpiece has stopped working, no sound at all, I've tried multiple reboots, wipes without success.
The only way to make calls (Skype, VoIP) is to use a wired headset or a speakerphone.
Please Help Me!

I would try a different app to make sure it is really the earpiece and not Skype. Skype used to have this problem for me.

I tried an app called "earpiece" with which I can test the earpiece, but I've got the same result
I'm having so much trouble with this. After I updated my Galaxy Player 5 over Kies long time ago my earpiece stopped working. I tried instaling another kernel and rom's nothing helped. Now I using ParanoidAndroid Rom. I never droped my Galaxy Player, I doubt that is hardware problem. Please if someone has solution, share with us. Thank you.

I've just installed CyanoGen mod 10.1.2 , running android 4.2.2
The camera microphone isn't working - i can record the video but the sound just "struggles" - do you guys remember when a computer was playing any mp3 then it hangs , and you had to reboot ? Thats the idea of what kind of sound i get from the camera.
Should i reflash, its a rom problem...
My phone is an Droid RAZR XT910, rooted.

What about sound recorder.? Does it record sound.?
I am having the same issue! When i record a video, i get no sound at all, then i tried to record a voice note with different programs and it didnt work. Im using CM 10.1.2, the stable one if im not mistaken! Could it be a hardware problem??

Hi,
I have same issue here, no hd quality video recording and very low sound volume when video recording, can we have a fix, please?
My unit is xt910 (umts_spyder) with cm-10.1.3-umts_spyder.
