Number1) unlock bootloader, it is free and official from unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com
number 2) download flashtool, find it urself......
number3) Once clicked, you will then get a pop up where it will read “Are you really sure?”, click on “Yes, I’m sure” and there you go, you now need to open the command prompt in your computer. correct! If you want to acces root you now have to download http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...de-root-cwm-unlock-bootloader-custom-t2403929 that and run the runme.bat file. Connect your phone and you should be running ICS 4.0.4. I had the 89 when I rooted. Enable usb debugging, you can search on how to do that and after that you connect your device to your pc and click 1 on the runme.bat file and hit enter. Wait for the magic and if you are stuck at ''if succes i will tell you'' part, wich I was. Just unplug your phone, reboot and go to your appdrawer and find the ''make a copy and restore'' app and click on find a copy and click on ''root'' (something like that) and after that click restore. Reboot and then download kingroot, the latest is recommended. And roooooooot . After that you may want to replace the kingroot root authorizer with super su. This is optional but I recommend it. Follow http://androidmtk.com/replace-kinguser-with-supersu that tutorial and you should be good to go!
Well this thread is extremely old so I suppose it should be closed.
Hi people Im posting here in my old forum because of more experienced devs my Question is which part of the hardware is flashmode associated with because my Xperia J won't boot into flashmode only fastboot which is strange because the bootloader is locked. this is my seccond J so all drivers are installed and my first J still works fine. so what part of the device is broken any ideas. Thanks.
The S1 boot ...You cant access/modify/alter it ...You need to use fastboot to unlock bootloader but on locked bootloader ,fastboot is pointless ....
Try it on another computer ...Windows loves to ignore flashmode for no reason at all...

I flashed my other J before and straight after. so would it be something wrong with the kernel
No ...
The section "related" to fastboot and flashmode lies before the kernel...
It tells the phone to use the boot.img(kernel) to boot the device..
Basically if you cant get the phone to boot in flash mode, you are screwed...
But i believe it's windows fault ,so try it on other machine ...

Try this code to access service menu

Also ,is this your new phone or refurbished ?

Chances are extremely remote...
You need access to phone partitions ...
Lack of USB debugging prevents that..
No terminal command can be issued to phone
Factory reset is impossible without flashmode ...
You can try asking for unlock code via another email id like prantoroy said but chances look slim...
Just a random thought...try using PC companion and see if you can format using it ...

check bootloader unlock status.
In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue if it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
I think your bootloader cannot be unlocked. There is someway to unlock that type of bootloader but i cant remember now.Search it and reply please
But he says again. So I guess he had unlocked it then relocked it and now wants to unlock it again.

Check on another computer.
Request unlock token again from Sony. It might have been corrupted.
Close antivirus software.
All of these
When you go to the service menu (*#*#7378423#*#*) and check the bootloader status, does it say "Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes" or does it say "Bootloader unlocked: Yes"?
If it is the second one it is already unlocked, and that's the only reason I can see it keep failing.

I ordered a Redmi note 4 through Amazon India, came out alright, all properly sealed and everything but one thing caught my attention is that on developer settings the phone unlock status says it's already unlocked! How can this be possible?
That's weird. Did you call a customer service centre? If I'd receive such product my first though would be to confirm if the Mido I got is a refurbished one or 1st hand. And even if it's one, then the Xiaomi guys should have relocked it... Maybe it's a software bug, try restarting. And the ultimate way to confirm is to use your PC, and you know the rest I hope.
Well, if you feel you can replace it (maybe) talk to amazon guys and confirm if they cover such thing in their replacement policy. Good luck.

Maybe you have RN4x, it is default unlocked... You can check your box, if it is with chinese language you have 4x, if you have with english lang. it is RN4 Global version and it is locked default...
Edit: also check if it is Snapdragon 625 version or maybe it is MTK?

You have to check if the bootloader is really unlocked or not. For this download this zip - https://drive.google.com/open?id=13Sjej5zIJPm_yiJQOVR4rEocwbhDc9oh
Unzip in pc and inside the platfrom-tools folder hold shift and right click.
In the menu it should say, open command prompt here or open powershell here.
click on the provided item (whatever of both it shows)
now, boot your device in fastboot by switching it off and holding down the power and volume down. Once the fastboot mode is open, connect your device via cable to your pc.
Now if you opened a command prompt window then type in -
Code:
fastboot devices
This command will show the connected fastboot devices. If nothing is printed on screen on executing command, then try reconnecting.
then type -
Code:
fasboot oem device-info
But if you have powershell then type in
Code:
.\fastboot devices
and
Code:
.\fastboot oem device-info
This will return some data and now you have to check the first two parameters saying "device tampered" and "device unlocked".
If device unlocked says true, then that means someone had actually used the device before. and if device tampered says true, then definetly someone has tested out your device, by doing all kinds of stuff like installing roms etc.
Use the mi flasher and flash the most current xiaomi rom. Your rom is probably a vendor rom, which is bad.

Thanks for making it easy for me. ?
Sometimes sellers unlock bootloader to flash other roms version. It's usually on online selling where there is Chinese roms on devices and buyers want global version.
As allready ppl stated, check by adb fastboot to see if its really unlocked.

You should contact xiaomi for this. And the seller from which you bought it. Because 98% of companies aren't allowed to sell phones with unlocked bootloader. Just leave it as it is. Tampering it by yourself would mean that you yourself did something to phone, which u haven't (not much, what u did is ok) . So getting in touch with the company and the provider would be a better option.

Or you can just unlock the bootloader once again to possibly make the phone functional
MyNameIsRage said:
You should contact xiaomi for this. And the seller from which you bought it. Because 98% of companies aren't allowed to sell phones with unlocked bootloader. Just leave it as it is. Tampering it by yourself would mean that you yourself did something to phone, which u haven't (not much, what u did is ok) . So getting in touch with the company and the provider would be a better option.

Most probably yea. Also you should report this in mi a1 forums as well. And you can google to find instructions for flashing update via fastboot.

In theory you need to go
ZUI官网 - 刷机
Then enter IMEI, serial, email.
Wait for email from Lenovo service with image, enable developers, unlock, then flash it via minimal ADB.
Kind of standard unlocking bootloader procedure. (Didn't unlock by myself, do it at your own risk).
Can try to support in telegram.
Pm me if you wanna try.
Tx alot for answer, i was thinking that i don't want to loose warranty now, so maybe i will keep that phone as it is... The worst is i wanted magic for modul installation for my DualSense5 for gaming....

You need to user IMEI1 (only letters and numbers).
And serial number that you can find in Settings->my phone->technical details->status
My PC didn't find a phone in bootloader mode (have a lot of tries and a lot of devices, may be some drivers conflict)

Not working. IMEI1 contains only numbers (not letters) and both SN and IMEI 1 are valid. I verified that with tech support. They were able to match both but they couldnt use them in the web page for unlocking either. So somehow it doesnt work...

Send me in PM your IMEI1 and serial. I'll try.
I have no problem with gettin sn.img in my case of preparing for unlocking.
If you communicate with tech support - ask them how to unlock bootloader or get a manual.

Yes, thats the way.
Can anybody here share there sn.img file with their IMEI & serial numbers? I've tried requesting this file via ZUI many times without success. I'm thinking i could swap out the numbers with my own data.
I'm having the same invalid IMEI1 when I submit for the unlock file.
How did you get the website to work?
