Problem:
My phone stopped working, due to a software issue (i'm 99% sure about this). I tried flashing it with a new rom, that almost bricked it (well, i can flash other roms to it, the led lights up, keypad lights up, etc).
I used SP Flash Tool (the only tool i know how to use), i load the scatter file and then click download, connect the phone, etc... the rom loads ok, just that i didn't had the proper rom.
I have recently found a RECOVERY ROM for this (don't know if ROM is the proper word for this, i've found the files that are used with SP Flash) - but it's missing the system.img, secro, cache and userdata .img files
I tried to load these files from other roms, all went ok, phone started but it hangs when it starts at the boot screen.
A few hrs ago i've found the proper software for my phone, but instead of the .img files i need, i have only the system folder that contains the build.prop file and the other folders, app, bin, etc, fonts...
How can use the SP Flash Tool to load this on to my phone? How can i convert this into the .img files i need?

Good night!
This thread is a "2 questions", really.
I have a D685, know as LG G Pro Lite Dual. I want to try make a custom ROM, but, for now, this model don't have a recovery to flash ROMs, or CWM. It don't have bootloader (wich is locked) or fastboot mode. All it have is a stock recovery, which is nothing but and android opened (the keys do nothing), and a "download mode".
The only ways to flash a ROM into this phone is using LG Mobile Tools (the offline method) in download mode, or official LG Program. With the offline method, we flash a file with a KDZ extension.
I can extract it, it give me a CAB file. When extracted, I have 2 files: a DLL and a BIN file, instead a .DZ or .WDB file. I can't find a program/way/thread to extract the BIN file... anyway to do this?
The intention is get the system.img (or whatever) inside the BIN, cook it, and reflash it. Then, you ask: "How to reflash, if this device don't have a recovery?"
Well, this is my second question! If I can create the KDZ file, maybe I can "integrate" the system.img into the KDZ, and flash using the offline method!
By this way, maybe we can have a recovery and boot images, too... If the BIN file have them, maybe we can cook boot and recovery, too... maybe... All depends what is inside the BIN file, and of course, if we can create or recreate the KDZ and flash it.
Any tips for these questions?
Thanks!
EDIT: we have root, at least. Tried to get boot and recovery with MTK Droid Tools, but the phone don't boot. It gives a security error just after turns on..
Hi,
After flash, my htc 516 Dual sim is dead.
I have prober to flash system.img found on net *some rusian site), than it starts BUT Touch screen didnt work.
I also prober recovery - the same problem.
What i did?
First flasz boot.img by adb command.
Than recovery CWM
Super su.
THAN works perfect...
I did NOT make myselef backup.
I decided to probe kitkat so in fastboot i took ERASE Data, system etc.
Kiktat sucks. Now i have "empty" Htc.
Everything what i could found n internet also sucks... Even if phone starts i dont have touch screen.
Probe to flashing another files by comand adb flash tp c:/tp.img , radio, ts, aboot etc. Every kind of boot.img. system.img, System.tar.gz(from backups another users),
Everything by CWM (backup and restore) , Install from zip- but there is alltime error 0 or 7 .
Try to download the system files (all the rar parts) from here: https://yadi.sk/d/CON0Zh_DbfB56 export the file and update it via cwm. That might work!!
I tried to install custom rom on my phone. Flashed wrong recovery, after changed to working recovery (which i had previously) phone didnt detect sim cards. I think it was because of system so thats why need system.img. And boot.img because read somewhere to flash boot.img using fastboot, so flashed and phone have bootloop now. Thank you from the mountain. So I think if i flash boot.img and system.img with fastboot it will work fine again.
EDIT: Found stock rom at russian forums gsmforums.ru and 4PDA forum
Phone working but I still have problem that it can't read SIM cards. It's dual sim and both sim cards don't working tried with some other cards and don't work too. Someone have any idea? It's wrong recovery flash problem? :/ Because phone can't read cards since i flashed wrong recovery and returned to working one. Thanks, hope for fast reply.
Help
I have found the ROM but it would be helpful if you could link it too. I haven't flashed android before and don't know how to do it properly, so it would be of great help if you could tell me how you did it. I have tried few things but with no success.

Sorry for the really late reply, but I've bought 3 new phones already in the meantime so I stopped watching the forum for the solution. Here's the link for the stock rom: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/d126368659a8/KK_4.4.2_stock_ Prestigio 3404 Duos.7z You should be able to download it without any problems. If You encounter some problems then tell me in next reply and I'll upload the rom to the other hosting site. Next thing You should download is a file from this link: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/c1e9138eac6e/backup.7z It contains scatter file which includes required info for SP Flash Tool to flash the image. Extract both files to the same folder on Your desktop so it'll be easier to find them. To flash the rom You have to download and install SP Flash Tool. It would be best if You'd follow the tutorial on YouTube like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CxDF2pkdCQ Here's the link to SP Flash Tool official site: https://spflashtool.com/ In the flashtool You should select download agent which is inside the tool folder and is most likely named something like "MTKallinoneDL". Then You should select scatter file from the rom folder which is named something like "mt6752_android_scatter" The next step is to select the "download only" option from the menu. You should follow the video on how to install the drivers and what steps You should take to connect the device correctly to the pc. So once again:
1. Download all the files and extract them:
* https://cloud.mail.ru/public/d126368659a8/KK_4.4.2_stock_ Prestigio 3404 Duos.7z << stock rom
* https://cloud.mail.ru/public/c1e9138eac6e/backup.7z <<scatter file etc.
* https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087012126 <<mtk preloader drivers
* https://spflashtool.com/download/SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1824_Win.zip << Latest version of SP Flash Tool
2.Install the MTK preloader drivers as shown in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=219&v=sADkzyI8Z5Q
3.Open SP Flash tool and select download agent, scatter file and select "download only" option from the drop down menu. (NOTE: You should open SP Flash Tool as administrator to avoid any problems)
4.Select checkboxes for ANDROID, BOOTIMG, RECOVERY.
5.Click the downlaod button (before connecting Your phone)
6.Connect Your phone without battery to Your pc.
7.Now wait untill the message window pop-ups with "download OK" message.
If You have trouble using the SP Flash Tool here's another video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKpt0TLE6_A NOTE: If You flash Your phone with "FORMAT ALL AND DOWNLOAD" You could erase Your IMEI partition which will result in another problems with phone calls etc. It's best if You select download only and select only these 3 partitions I mentioned earlier. If You encounter any problems please let me know in Your future reply.
Has anyone been able to figure out how to root the Alcatel idealXTRA (5059r)? I have been able to make a modded boot image with Magisk but I can not flash it to my phone because I need a DA file for SP Flash Tool specifically for this phone
I've been able to unlock the bootloader with Android "Tool all in one" which i found on here sometime ago. Actually have gotten a "successful" flash thru adb bootloader but with no effect on the device. I've tried a variety of tools, you'll need MtkDroidTools (Mediatek specific tool) and a host of other things and pherhaps you'll have some luck. I however did not. It appears that this specific device and its hardware are simply beyond my skills in rooting which are extensive so I question the viability of the exercise all together. That being said I still devote multiple hours a month attempting.
SUCCESS!!
The DA file your speaking of is actually located in the SP Tool folders : \SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1904_Win\\MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin
Disclaimer this method is finicky at best but on my device has worked, I take no responsibility for bricked/destroyed devices nor voided warranties. This simply resembles the method I used to successfully root my Alcatel 5059r Device nothing more
Alright I'm going to do a small write up with links for you. I'm assuming you have your bootloader unlocked and Magisk rooting is sufficient bc if its not well your not going to be able to root this device. First we need stock firmware, magisk manager 7.0, and the flashing tool that works with this phones MediaTek CPU.
HTML:
https://alcatelfirmware.com/alcatel-onetouch-ideal-xtra-5059r
Here you'll find both the stock firmware and the SP Flash Tool for this particular hardware.
You'll also need the latest Magisk Manager app on your phone(great idea for after you root if you've saved it on your SD as well as its the first thing you want to install after). You can find that on XDA or Github or a simple google search.
In short you need to patch the stock firmwares boot.img with Magisk Manager in order to gain root.
Once you've downloaded your Firmware, Tool, and .apk of Magisk Manager extract the boot.img from the stock firmware .zip/.rar then move it a storage path somewhere you can find it on your device. THEN DELETE THE BOOT.IMG THAT REMAINS IN THE .ZIP FOLDER
Start magisk manager and you'll probably get a big red X on Magisk 18.1, press it and install > patch boot image, select the stock boot.img we extracted to your pc then moved to your device.
With the Patch_boot.img move it off your devices storage back onto windows. Then add it back into the .zip/.rar Stock Firmware folder. Now we have a complete set of stock firmware flashed with Magisk 18.1 and ready to go!
Now you have a properly rooted boot.img now onto the flash
SP Flash Tool is a finicky tool at best, I always got error codes but was successful. Start off by shutting off your phone and unplugging the USB if your connected.
Extract the patched stock firmware .zip/.rar
Extract SP Flash tool, and run the flashtool.exe
From here you can follow the basic instructions on the website I posted
If you need an Auth file run a search here in XDA and you'll find a nice little .zip with an Auth file in it that works.
Your Scatter file is in the stock firmware, Auth file above.
With your phone still off & disconnected and your 3 drop boxes on the SP Flash Tool full and looking like the guide on the website. Press download. Attach your phone to USB and hit Volume up or down. Here is kind of the tricky part and trust me error codes don't necessarily mean there was any error. I ended up using the windows chimes to tell when the device was picked up, it disconnects pretty quickly but in between connection/disconnect chimes you have enough time to hit download again and you should get a Red Line on the bottom of SP tool saying 100% Completed, although probably with an error code. I did this routine of flashing in between chimes probably 10 times.
Reboot and yes your phone has been wiped, first thing you'll want to do is reinstall magisk manager and with any luck you should have green checks beside both boxes.

Problem (symptomatic): Phone doesn't start, always boots into bootloader. Have to go into recovery (OrangeFox), flash an OS every time - only Lineage OS 17.1 and RR Pie start up. Logs into the introduction screen. Wi-Fi, hotspot, mobile data - nothing works - freezes UI. When I try rebooting the installed OS, Lineage OS and RR P both load for some(really-long)time and finally boot into recovery. Tried flashing RR Q - booted into introduction screen, then immediately shut off with the obvious text "Shutting Off".
Device: Redmi Note 4 MediaTek (mido) 2GB 32GB.
Investigation: I think whatever is happening is because of one (or more) of the following reasons -
I tried flashing Ethereal kernel (Ethereal-Clang12-Mido-20210102.zip) into the stock from TWRP Install. When it didn't work (or did, Idk) I actually flashed it two more times. I was trying to install RR Q initially, and it kept saying something like treble-version-incompatible.
Looking up, they said updating TWRP works. So I tried updating to 3.5.0_9-0 from 3.3.1.0. Idk if this is an unstable version but it asked for a password. I tried all passwords suggested on XDA, didn't work. I don't have encryption on my device and 3.3.1 never asked for a password. I finally decided to do a full wipe. Don't remember correctly but I think this is where from it just went downhill.
Installed RR Pie, wireless services (modem?) wouldn't work. Tried fixing kernel by installing boot.img from recovery. Wouldn't work. So now I decided to flash kernel into the boot partition from Fastboot using fastboot flash boot Ethereal-Clang12-Mido-20210102.zip.
Nothing worked anymore and I installed OrangeFox which is better but of no avail to my problems. To further understand my issues, I fastbooted and force wrote the boot.img from RR Q into my persist (a partition?) Yeah. I know. What can I say, I was just possessed by madness.
Now my persist is damaged.
I don't remember correctly, but if mobile data and those network thingies don't work, I'd assume I also tried flashing something incorrect into the modem image partitons...
What I tried doing:
Flashing boot.img of RR Q to fix kernel.
Flash multiple kernels on the inernet.
I think none of these work because these installs are supposed to be conducted as extensions or upgrades over the base framework. Which is gone I think?
So here's my remnant solution strategy:
I replace all of the files and directories in my / folder (the folder accessible only to the device; the base folder of a Linux system) with whatever came initially from some similar device.
I try option #1.
I honestly don't know what to do. If I copy all of the files in the / folder from some other similar mido phone using a recovery tool and paste it on mine:
Can I even do that?
Here's a logical deduction: while the recovery app works, some files should be in use. The system should thus not let me touch those specific entries. Thus I can't paste (but surely copy) those files from somewhere; but then I can't write them onto my device in recovery. Do I need to? If yes, can fastboot be used?
Are there particular files in the / folder that are device specific? Does that mean I'll have to use Terminal to change them?
Are there easier (or, depending on the gravity of the situation, existent-at-all) alternatives? Like images for every single partition (and some partitions aren't accessible to the installer I suppose. So I may have to use Terminal)? If no, can anyone provide me the files from /?
So that's it. Tell me what you think. Quick would be awesome; I'll totally do your laundry for a week.
Nevermind, problem solved. Had to reflash modem image. Didn't know such a thing existed. Phone working fine now, in fact am typing from it.

Google "modem image for Redmi Note 4 mido". Hopefully you'll come across an isolated modem image.
If not, download stock image for RN4 mido and derive the modem image.
Note that you'll have to download the fastboot flashable image, which comes in a .tar.gz kind of a format. You'll have to extract it TWICE, once from .tar.gz to .tar, then from .tar to a normal folder. Then go browse that folder. You'll come across a directory somewhere called "images". It should contain all images that get flashed on different positions. It will also contain a "scatter text", something that probably tells the computer what to flash and where. Open it and see which one gets flashed in the modem partition(s). Flash it using -
Code:
fastboot flash <modem partition codename> <modem image name>.img
