Its the permissions, when about to upload the system app you must set the permissions to the correct one that the package installer supports but the permissions that the application you have got has the system permissions set which means the permissions set on the application only works for system apps.
How to fix:
Install Root Explorer
Open Root Explorer
Move the file to /system/app/
Change=
User: R/W
Group: R/O
Others: R/O
To=
User: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read, Execute
Others: Read, Execute
So basically a shape of a bridge.

That is just how to make it a system application, just do the reversed way to make it installable for package manager but their is a chance that the application must be a system application for some reason (launcher etc.)
Remember that if it fails then it is just not compatible.

Hi.
In my Xperia S, the button like on facebook (in media player, Walkman) dont work.
This problem is only with me ?
Has anyone else with the same problem? How fix this ?
Thanks for your attention.
Hi
If you unlock bootloader ,thats normal
You have to convert fb music like apk to user app via Titanium backup
Or manually remove the apk from /system/app than install it as normal apk

How I do it?
Hi guys!
I'm on a stock ROM on my Xperia U, running 6.1.1.B.1.10 firmware.
My question is related to my lockscreen, I used to use the stock lockscreen by Sony and I couldnt change my lockscreen wallpaper. As you all know we get only 2 options to choose images from -- the default Album app and Xperia wallpapers. But when i choose the "Album" option, the app crashed and I couldnt choose an image as my LS wallpaper.
So, I changed my LS, and started using Xperia T lockscreen -- This -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119649
Even in that I'm facing the same problem, Album crashes! Is there any solution for this, I wish there was another option to choose another gallery, Such as Gallery ICS or something, we're just stuck with two!
HELP!

The software allows users to separately adjust white balance, colour saturation and hue. Given the criticisms in some quarters over the Xperia Z display, it is surprising that Sony didn’t include the software, although we may see it appear in an upcoming update.
Thankfully the apk has been ported over from the Xperia ZL if you don’t want to wait. Your Xperia Z will need to be rooted for the calibration app to work, as you need to set the right permissions. Instructions to get this working can be found

It's Work For Xperia 2011 Devices MDPI/HDPI
Alternative method ( thx @gm007 )
1. Download the zip file in the 1st post of this thread.
2. Unzip the file.
3. Inside the White Balance.zip\system\app folder, there is a whitebalance.apk file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\app folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
4. Inside the White Balance.zip\system\lib folder, there is a libdisplayservice.so file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\lib folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
5. Inside the White Balance.zipe\system\lib\hw folder, there is a libdisplay.default.so file. You need to copy this file to your phone's system\lib\hw folder. Remember to set the permissions to rw-r-r.
6. Reboot.
7. Go to Settings -> Display and you should be able to see the White Balance setting.

[SCRIPT] All su Installer - "Root & install your favorite root management app"
About All SU Installer:
It allows you root and install your favorite root management app with related su binaries in just a click. It is one of the simplest method for installing su binaries and root mange app to your device. It can also help you in solving all root related issues. It can also help in changing you current root management app.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is Root?
Defined by Lininfo.org:
Root is the user name or account that by default has access to all commands and files on a Linux or other Unix-like operating system.

Well, rooting an Android phone simply means to gain administrative privileges (or root access if you are from a Linux background) on the system. When you buy a new Android phone, you are just a guest user on the phone. You can use the phone, just as a guest would use Windows, but you will not be able to make any changes to the system files.
However, after you have a root access over your phone, you could browse your Android root folder and make any changes to the system files on your phone. And that’d mean the ability to make all kinds of changes and install more powerful apps that you can’t use on a non-rooted phone.
We will now be talking about both merits and demerits associated with rooting an Android phone. Let us start with the brighter side: the benefits.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Benefits of Rooting?
Run Special Applications or Root-only applications
After you have rooted your phone, you can run special applications that require root access on your phone. When compared to regular applications, root applications provide more features.
Install & Run Custom ROMs
One of the main reasons people root their phone because they want to install and use custom ROMs on it.
When looking into Custom ROMs you’ll want to get one that comes with the latest version of Google’s software but also features plenty of tweaks, performance enhancements, and additional features.
Free Internal Storage
People who have low internal memory can transfer any application from internal memory to SD card after rooting their phone. There are some applications that provide the option by default. But if you want to force move an app by creating a symlink, you must use an app that only works on a rooted phone.

Hello everybody on Gingerbread,
I am sharing with you a beautifully ported GX Launcher for gingerbread working on Xperia Sola and U (also on ARC,Ray...etc).
I hope u will like it...
Installing instructions:
1. Flash via CWM... OR
2. Move to /system/app with -rw-r--r-- permissions using a root browser.
Guys please share any other mods/themes for GB...we are still on GB as ICS is slow and sucks, Camera on ICS is a dreadful pain...so GB is definitely better
This isn't my work...Thanks and credit to @Erhany as I got it from his thread...He is a superb themer for Gingerbread.

Yo man is working great on my Neo V. The only problem is on the home preferences. Even i change them i can't see any difference. But i love the 5x4 app drawer. Thanks!!!

Nope it's not working again. Nevermind man it's ok with me.I just wanted because of the 4x5 drawer.
Try this...
Openroot browser. Delete home
Apk. Turn usb debug on. Reboot. You will get blank screen as there is no launcher app
Connect phone to pc. Then use adb to push the home apk to /system/app with 644 permission. Reboot. This has to work

Gives an error when loading the CWM. I wanted to make a manual, but the House has stopped working, he said. all of the contents of the file you need to move the system file? I only took home author system folder. that's why I got the error I guess.
