[Q] Sphere Camea - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a version of the camera from JB 1.2 that works on the S3? Just looking for a zip that I can flash in CWM. Did a search and there's loads of zips about, but none seem to be for the S3. Cheers

[Q] camera error

i updated the camera to captative one in my vibrant with bionix but the camcoder is not working and i cannot zoommm.....does any one have the .zip orginal one for the vibrant??
I sadly don't have the original one but I do have the MIUI one and it works great on any Vibrant rom (tried it on Bionix). Just flash the attached file and your cam should be up and ready to go

[Q] Camera CWM Flash

I've got something of a problem. I enjoy the speed and customization of Cyanogen, but I've also grown accustomed and frankly, think that the Samsung stock camera is the best camera app for our phones.
I was wondering whether or not it is possible to take the original stock camera, and create a CWM flashable ZIP file out of it? Like how Cyanogen has the ZIP flashable Google Apps.
I'm currently on a MIUI rom because it retains the original camera, but it doesn't have the finesse of Cyanogen.
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
cyanogen has another framework, the Samsung stock camera don't work.

CM and MIUI are pure aosp roms which has no 'samsungyness" left.
So no apps from samsung framework will work. Hence, you can NOT use stock camera on miui.
Only rom afaik, that is almost pure aosp and has a few good samsung apps in it, is GingerMod. (samsung browser, camera and fm radio).
And, for replacing/adding a new system app, if you have the app apk, you can just push it to /system/app using root explorer, set correct permissions and reboot. Cwm flashable zip is just an easy way.
Thanks for the replies. I've been pushing the Camera.apk into the app directory, but it wasn't working. I thought that the app itself may contain the drivers required; I didn't know it required an entirely different framework.
I'm running GingerMod right now, but unfortunately it is still sluggish compared to Cyanogen.
Can anyone recommend a camera app for Cyanogen, which is as close to stock as possible? Cyanogen's default camera unfortunately has a longer lag between pressing the shutter button and taking the picture, than the stock Samsung one.
Try Vignette, Camera 360 or lgCamera. They are pretty good. Sometimes I use them even instead of the stock app

Flash Player ICS

Hello folks
I request anyone can help me installing Flash Player in my Samsung Galaxy Fit (S5670) With ICS.
I heard that Flash Player don't work on ICS but I saw a lot of threads showing it is working but I can't install it.
Thank dudes :good:
Go to the download site in my signature where you can download the flash APK. Flash is/was supported on ICS, its JB that flash has never had support on.
Just noticed, your phone appears to be ARMv6/ARM11. Flash requires a processor with ARMv7 support, there are some unofficial ARMv6 flash versions out there which perform pretty bad even when working fine, but I'm not sure if there is anything that will run on ICS for AMMv6.
I have flash working on my jb Rom. I have a gs2 skyrocket running mindmajicks xperianceaokp r2. I just used titanium backup to pull it from a ics nandroid backup.

Stock ASUS Camera app?

So I'm on a 4.2 JB ROM, and I don't like the stock 4.2 camera app. I really like that ICS 4.0 camera app. I looked at some ROMs that ran android 4.0 ICS and tried to look for the APK for the camera. couldnt find it. Also I tried installing the gallery.apk but it didnt work. I didn't try flashing it cuz there wasnt a .zip file to flash. I know theres Camera ICS but its not the same. Theres no options for focus modes etc
anyone know how how to download the stock ASUS camera app?
