hi
My device is Samsung Galaxy Y.
Already i am trying to make my flashable icon pack. I use guide mrallyluz (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35308133#post35308133). I have icons, custom icon pack, updater script, but i don't know how can i add more icons. I mean, for example, in folder unpack i have folders browser.apk, settings.apk, calendar.apk with custom icons inside these folders, and i want to add more icons to change. So, should i take names apps from system/app and make folder with this name inside res/drawable-ldpi?
Where can i find icon files? With RootExplorer i searched everywhere and no results... :3
I know that there are a lot of icon packs, but i want to learn something new and just make my phone prettier :]
Just i want to create more folders in flashicon.zip/unpack because i want to change icons of all apps in my phone, but i am a little noob (for now ^^).
I hope that you understand me
Y u have created 2 threads for same question?

Hi everyone,
I would like to make a zip file to add automatically fonts by flashing it. I get a FontPack.zip, I removed some fonts I did not like but I would like to add some. I tried to add the font files (.ttf) concerned with the others ( in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/fonts/ ) but when I flash it the ones I added do not appear in the phone parameters.
I saw that each font had an .xml file attached in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/xml/ so I thought the problem was there. But I do not know if the problem is really there and even if it is I do not know how to create a .xml file for the fonts I added.
For information I added two fonts and their bold equivalent which are Ubuntu and Buntu ( which is Ubuntu Light ).
Thanks for your help and please forgive me for my bad english.
PS : I attached the font pack to my message so you can see it.
No one knows how could I solve my problem ?

not really a answer for help but have you seen this thread about flipfonts basically its a apk of the fonts run the apk and the it will be added to system for you to choose thru your settings
thread link here
also if u use go launcher goto visual settings font at bottom section u have option to change fonts also the option to search so if u was to create folder on your sd it will add.
just suggestions
Thanks for the answer, I just asked on the thread you gave me if it was possible to make me an apk with the Ubuntu Light font.
I use Apex Launcher but thanks for your advice.
Just some questions [yeah, used search and no lucky]
1. How can I theme CM9 with the Theme Chooser? Any tutorial, template? Don't know anything about it. [If possible, a noob-medium tutorial about apks]
2. What can I do with the arsc file?
3. How can I edit those XML files?
4. How can I change the icon of some apps? [which the theme doesn't theme...]
Well, I just want to know it, I have a theme here, but want to edit some stuff. Or I could also start from zero to make the perfect theme for me.
Thanks.
Edit: with a lot of search on google [I mean a lot] and a friend helping me, I was finally able to do some stuff. With apktool I managed to decompile, and just easy, I've been able to edit a Theme chooser apk like it was mine, edit the xml files and the arsc files were already decompiled. By myself I could also add some apps to the APKs, like chrome. [PS: if someone has a cool Google Chrome square icon, please share ]
I know to to make a theme, but was wondering how to make use of the theme chooser in CM10. It looks like I need to build an apk but I haven't found any guides on how to go about that. Any pointers?
Try the easy way while you wait for help
Well I've been building a theme for months and there's the easy way and the impossible way, one is to extract a template theme or any theme for that matter and replace all the images with your own as long as you don't touch the .9s and use the apk multi tool (googleable) to extract optimise and sign it for you. Thats the easy way
The other is to decompile which lets you edit XML files and .9s but I haven't managed to get that to work and no amount of internet can help me. Which means no changing the name of the theme and no uploading to the market. Which is what I planned to do. But give the easy way a go if you just want it for yourself and friends etc.
I had also posted another question here on the forums trying to figure out why I couldn't theme MMS.apk and Phone.apk; one_love_420 was kind enough to respond and mentioned the same thing you did, which is to utilize theme chooser. So that is what I ended up doing. I found a template for CM10 theme chooser and added in some lines so I could also theme MMS.
one_love_420 also provided me a link to this forum post, which helps with learning how to modify the xml files and personalize the theme.

I have actually edited .9.png files before, with my old Samsung Moment. granted that was on Android 2.2 but still applies right?
Personally I preferred to use Draw9Patch and xUltimate (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700904) and Photoshop.
Here are some guides that I have looked at previously:

Thank you for your response SimBol10! Also, let me know if you have any questions about .9.png editing and I'll try to return the favor!
Actually you can read the title but I will explain it.
I have a official cm10 release on my phone(xperia neo). And Iam working on a rom for myself.Iam trying to change images SystemUI.apk but I didn't get any changes. I think its about theme engine.
So firstly, Default theme "System" taking resources from SystemUI.apk ? How can I remove this thing totally? I just want classic ui from SystemUI.apk.
And a noob question, my xperia neo is hdpi. In SystemUI.apk/res, I have to edit the image files in drawable-hdpi.Thats true right? I just edit it. And I want to be sure about it.
And another question...I get these images from other SystemUI's, like Android 4.3's SystemUI.apk. And there is few differences between images.(Actually device changes, not cm10.2..like xperia z1's systemui) ...Same drawable-hdpi folder. But in my SystemUI.apk, the .png is 29x27 , in xperia z1's SystemUI.apk, its 32x29 (something like that). When I use that image directly (32x29) , is there any problem I have to face? or just the image will be a bit bigger?
The last question! I got Android L's dump. I want to take the .png files used in statusbar...(signal wifi airplane mode ...). But there is no SystemUI.apk . Then where are these files? In framework-res.apk?
Many questions..I hope you can understand me..anyways thank you so much Any help, anything is appreciated
Dam, 35 view and no answer...I need answers immediately.
