[Q] gadmei E6 tablet. possible to change OS? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi im new to the forum , i tried to find the gadmei forum in here but it doesnt seem to have one so i will make a thread here i hope it is ok. I got a Gadmei E6 tablet with andriod 4.0.4 I have issues with the wifi disconnecting and reconnecting problem. I tried finding a solution and tried to do the static IP method but when i do that on my tablet, the connect button was greyed out everytime after i input my static ip info.
My next option i guess is to downgrade it to 4.0 which doesnt seem to have the wifi problem for many other people. But i have no idea where to start or if they even make firmware for my gadmei tablet.
finally, is my tablet rooted already since i have the "developer options" in the setting. thanks for reading

[Q] Stuck with my Lenovo vibe x s960

Hi there,
I reached to the point i'm writing message in this forum cause I honestly tried everything.
Iv'e got a Lenovo s960 which I bought on eBay, recently he decided to make a software update to Android 4.4.2.
So what is the problem?
Iv'e got the phone with custom rom for int'l use (English and with google services), the phone updated to a chinese version without google services, and a bit of english.
Iv'e reached this conclusion based on the internet.
So why can I just root the phone and install another rom?
This is a really strange problem,
I found few information online about this but mostly in ended up without solution, so folks we got a challenge.
When i'm connecting the phone on USB, it's charging but not recognized, the computer "sees nothing", the phone just charging, like it was connected to AC adapter .
Iv'e tried a few computers, a few cables, and tried on Mac OS X and Windows. I noticed that there is a known problem between Win 8.1 and media tek chips, but ever after manual install no change.
The problem is in the phone, the usb option just disappeared, the is no "usb setting" anywhere,
I also tried to enable USB debugging but yet no solution.
Shortly I need to install other rom and to do this I need something to recognize my phone.
And now I have to be honest, I'm taking care of this case for a very close friend, it's huge favor for her, if it was mine I was just buying a new one.
Any help will be blessed,
Thank you
Yarin
Jumping I'm really out of clues

[Q] 6.2 Inch Android 4.2.2 MSTAR GPS RADIO

Hi Guys
I received my Android 4.2.2 Mstar Cedric3 DVD GPS Radio with MCU Version 4.3.12.11-10-454101-150309 and system version 2.7.39 two days ago. It is also sold as ST 8713C by LSQStar
I tried to install TOMTOM on the unit but after installation I end up on a start screen with a MAP location that does not reflect my actual location. I have since tried to root my device but only succeeded to mess up the Wi-Fi connectivity which now is looping with "Obtaining IP Address". It had been working fine prior to my rooting efforts with root master. I had tried a static IP address which does not connect but browsing is still not possible.
Anyway my thinking is to re-install the firmware but I cannot find it anywhere after many hours of checking. I would appreciate some assistance with this.
Secondly can someone guide me on how to successfully install TomTom on the above device so that the program actually communicates with the built in GPS device.
Have you succeeded on this ?? I have same problem!
Thank you!
Roberto

MyGica ATV1900pro Root

Hi there. I’m still kinda new as this is the second post I’ve ever made. Last one was many years ago.
As the title states, I’m trying to root my Android tv box. It’s a MyGica ATV 1900 Pro with AMlogic S905 chipset running Android 5.1.1. So I’ve tried the obvious routes. From Framaroot to Towelroot to Kingoroot to Baidu Root to One Click Root and everything in between. Whether it be the APKs or PC alternatives. I found one that looked promising but it was for a different device that required the running of a .bat file from my laptop while connected to the box via Ethernet cable. I know I know, useless attempt as it was not made for my device but I was desperate. So that didn’t work obviously. I have also tried connecting the box to my laptop using a male to male usb cable but they don’t see each other. Maybe the cable is old or maybe the box was just never meant to be connected to a pc that way. Who knows
The MyGica support site says they have an Android 7 beta update with superuser support but most comments on that thread have people crying from having their boxes bricked and I don’t want to risk it. I’ve had varying levels of success with rooting my previous devices in the past(each device needing a different app etc) but I’ve always succeeded in the end. But this box has me utterly stumped. I do not know what other options I have.
Any advice is welcome and thanks in advance
P.S The reason I want to root has to do with the fact that my box has lost its WiFi ability it seems. WiFi won’t turn on. So was wanting to delete the wpa suplicant files to see if that resolved the matter but can’t get in system folder without root
