Yes you can directly upgrade to Jelly Bean from Ginger Bread (2.3.5)
you need to keep in mind that the ROM is a leaked one and it has bugs and you might also have battery drain if you dont tweak it.
you can use the thread below to install it
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995987&highlight=cleaned+thread

Also keep in mind official jb is expected out any day. Why flash the leak when you can flash official soon enough.

Yup if you are not experienced and don't want to waste your time on struggling with bugs then better install ics 4.0.3 and wait for official release of JB

Future upgrade to Jelly bean on rooted S3

Noob question probably with a simple answer but i am a little confused so i'll ask.
I recently rooted my S3 and flashed the latest omega rom and siyah kernel, all is good for now.
I am on Android version 4.0.4, my question is when Jelly Bean is released and i want to update to it how do i go about it? Do i need to flash stock rom/firmware and upgrade via kies/OTA?
If i flash a Jelly Bean rom just now will my android version change to 4.1 or will i just have the jelly bean rom running on ICS
If someone could please explain it would be much appreciated, thanks.
U need 2 flash stock/official rom to get OTA updates from Samsung.
And if u flash Jelly beans then it wont be running upon ICS.
Ur version will change to 4.1 if u flash JB
Custom rom will also be JB based .

When jb is released you just download the firmware from sammobile.com and flash with odin. No need to go back to stock.

help using kies to update

Hello. I'm a spanish Galaxy s2 user. Since I learn to change Roms whith Odin, I've tried several Roms, all of them official. Now I'd like someone to tell me how to update using Kies again. I mean, if I'm using a 4.0.3 official Rom and I want to update to 4.1 official in september-october, what should I do to do update through Kies again?
I think that I have to use a 4.0.3 official spanish Rom, but I'm not sure.Thank you so much.
You need to use stock rom from your carrier.

Well when it gets released you can download it from WWW.sammobile.com. or you can revert back to GB with your stock firmware and wait for the ota update nearer to when its going to be released.
Have you considered shooting and updating to a jb rom now? Rootbox is stable and amazing. I would recommend it

any help?
If you're talking about stock ICS 4.0.4, you can get it by searching on sammobile.com
Before you do, I hope you've read this post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28388184
If you're talking about a custom ROM based on 4.0.4, there's an index of ROMs in the Android Development section. You can look at the various 4.0.4 ROMs there and take your pick.

Did you try OTA update? I upgraded mine to 4.0.4 a month ago. If you want to be stock, 4.0.4 is available OTA or via Kies in most parts of the world.

If you're so anxious to get Jelly Bean on your phone, why don't you simply flash a JB based custom rom?

my opinion is to try 4.2.2 ROMS like AOKP and CM 10.1 cuz these work well on ICS roms and moreover the service center is **** in india if something really goes wrong then u wouldn't want to get stuck with those guys believe me those guys don't even know the diff b/w Factory cable and data cable so better wait for official OTA and then think abt it ....why try for 4.1.2 when u have 4.2.2 well that's just my opinion

You are right there is no such good service provided in India. Also there is no hope for jb upgrade as Motorola clearly declared there will b no JB update in India. We have to stick to ics only. The custom roms like aokp can not b installed on stock slot.

Razr Maxx sales have stopped in India since last 1 month, they might be releasing the Razr Maxx HD with JB 4.1 soon , so dont expect any JB update.
You can go for the EU or China - These match Indian radio & baseband, To flash any of the other custom ROM on JB base you will need to flash a JB. I am using the US Verizon JB leak with Jellywiz RL7 and D-Wiz JBX with Zero problems.

Make sure you read the OP's instructions carefully before u try flashing.
