I have a Galaxy S2 i727 from Rogers, I recently upgrade it to custom ROM's but I dont know what happened than now when I receive or make phone calls it becomes very noisy on the call when I talk or someone talks to me.
This happens in all the ROM's (even on the stock Rogers ROM now) I have tried. If I use a bluetooth headset everything is ok.
But if I make a call via Skype or use the voice recorder, it seems that the speaker and the mic are ok. For me, it seems to be a "software issue".
Is it possible that I have installed something wrong like a kernell or radio? I have been searching and trying for two days.
I have flashed the stock Rogers ROM via Odin, but actually the phone is rooted running JB CyanogenMod 10
Help!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post such a specific question, I've looked around and hopefully it's ok - but if it's not please don't kill me
I just flashed my Galaxy S2 i9100 with the PureICS v6.1 ROM and almost everything is fine except one problem:
Whenever I start a skype call there is no sound, if I start a video call there is video but there is still no sound, neither party in the call can hear anything.
I was just wondering if this was a ROM specific bug which just needs to be ironed out, or something to do with skype generally misbehaving on ICS ROMs which don't belong to the Galaxy Nexus or whatnot.
Same Problem with mine
I'm facing the same problem as well.. Other person can able to audio of mine, but i'm not able to hear them. Do let me know if you have any solutions for it.
Hi folks.
I have an S2 which had an Orange branded gingerbread firmware on it. I had previously rooted the phone to unlock it to any network and it was working fine.
Lately though I have had a problem where I cannot hear audio in calls. Sometimes it comes back on but for the most part callers can hear me but I can't hear them. Speaker phone works fine and all tones/media sounds also work.
I thought this may be related to some tinkering I'd done deleting some bloat apps so I thought I'd try and solve it by re-flashing the phone and upgrading to ICS.
That hasn't helped though. Anyone any ideas or is it more likely to be a hardware issue?
Hi guys,
Recently after trying a custom rom, my call quality have been appalling, it sounds very distorted when receiving or making a call, the other side can hear me fine but i cant make sense of what they are saying, everything else such as videos and music play fine, just calls. I have flashed the correct modem, re-flashed the rom as well as trying others, just did a factory reset and am in the middle of downloading stock rom to try that, but was wondering if anyone else has come across this before?

Hello there,
I have noticed that some people seem to have the same problem, I have an AOKP rom 4.2.2 (Vanilla Rootbox) and when I connect my SGS2 to a bluetooth hands free (I have two) it happens the same: The mp3 and video audio work perfectly but I am not able to hear anything when I call and the micro doesn't works as well (the person in the other side says me that can't hear me).
It already works fine in a stock rom 4.1.2 because I have tested it, but not with this ROM so... does anybody know how to fix this problem or if someone has a bluetooth hands free and works perfectly, please, tell me which what ROM.
Thanks in andvance!!
Hi, I'm having a strange problem not hearing anything in loud calls.
The scenario is following: I dial the number, the other party picks up (or the other way round), I switch to loud speaker and...can hear nothing (neither from the earspeaker, nor from the loudspeaker). Microphone works normally as it should in the loud call - the other party hears fine. Normal calls (not loud ones) also work fine. Speaker itself is also working - ringtones, music are played.
I'm on the newest AOSP Neatrom 8.0st (KK 4.4.4) and Apolo Kernel 7.1. No other issues so far.
I'm quite new to custom ROM/kernel flashing, also I only recently got my hands on Samsung GII. Sorry if this is a stupid question. No reasonable search effort gave me good results. I'm asking this before I ruin my successful combination of ROM/kernel flashing another ones.
Thanks. Martin
Ok, problem solved by clean re-flash of ROM and kernel.
Still I would like to understand where the problem could have been. Just if it reappears...
