This is just an alternative firmware Update tool, which is working and supports Lumias and even WP8.
If you want to use, then you can use.

Cheers m8 will get installing saves waiting for the update on zune
u can download official roms through it, only disadvantage is the there r no custom roms available in it
Disadvantage: it's not officially supported, permitted, and tbh it might not even be legal.
Furthermore, it'd be trivial for Microsoft to know who has upgraded before the update has been pushed out through Zune.

Can anyone provide instructions or let me know if it is possible to downgrade from rooted ICS back to HC?
I am having some issues with apps I use regularly that are supposed to be ICS compatible but aren't working very well after the update.
Thanks
not possible
I have always heard this is impossible.
Your best bet is to contact the app developers.
Perhaps you can..using rescue-backdoor and changing your region to one where ics isn't been released yet (Europe)..but before doing that I think you should wait for condi's reply..

Well as far as I have seen after changing to ics u cannot change the region back coz it will brick ur tablet and this has been faced by many people here in this forum aftter they have changed the region after they have upgraadded to ics
So, the AiO tool isn't compatible with ICS yet.. you have to wait for an update

You can downgrade it. With custom ICS rescue-backdoor is already included.
Just boot into recovery and use correct 3.2.1 stock firmware.
Then you can root it again (of course if its not 'kernel #10' fw).

condi
ps. i've made few downgrades already

I have a uk 16gb wifi only sony s
Is it quite straightforward to do?
Or will the uk version b out soon?
I still have no info regarding the uk release of ics
Yeah its kinda starightforward to do but one thing after u do it u cannot change ur region back to uk if u change ur region back to uk it will brick ur device
U need to be in usa region itself until there is some exploit for it in near future
Thanks for the quick reply, I only got it at the weekend so I will play with it for a while and see if ics comes out for uk soon
Don't want to risk a brick just yet though I am keen on getting ICS
Cool device though
Ciao!
ICS isn't been released in europe yet..I updated mine via condi's tool 2.7 flawlessly.. if you simply change your region, you'll lose root for the moment. I suggest to update soon because ICS is much way better!
Sony Italy doesn't know that ICS for Tablet S was released. You can use condi's AiO tool, but read all the instruction in the post. Not avaible for now for 3G model, only wifi

I bought an unlocked Lumia 920 from Singapore (Country Variant, RM-821_apac_singapore_293) to use under T-Mobile NA. While the Nokia website listed the Amber update as available for 920 for weeks now, I am not seeing the update OTA. Does anyone has similar issue? Do I need to use NCS to force an update?

It will flash the full new available firmware (not OTA) and will wipe your phone, backup your files first bro. NSU is the safest and easiest way to update, revives dead lumia`s too!

Maybe, but you can try backing-up apps and app settings in settings/back-up/apps in the cloud before the flash.

Thanks for linking!
Thanks for linking to my site, Gee2012. I try to keep it as up to date as possible. It has served over 20,000 downloads in the past 90 days. That's a lot of Nokia users...
That program works! Thanks! Now I am on the latest GDR3 via the Preview for Developers. The only downside is it wiped out the phone clean and restore all the apps with settings back and also the live tiles arrangement, but this is more an annoyance than a problem.
Hey everyone, tomorrow I got notification to install a new update for Global Stable Rom (v8.2.5.0.MCFMIDL). The update is rather small (21M) and with on descriptive change log(only says 'Fixed Bugs') . Is it safe to install MIUI updates on top of my rooted phone with TWRP and exposed installed. I installed all previous updates via fastboot method, but I really don't wanna go through all the trouble for such small incremental update.
If someone has tried it please do share your experience.
Regards.
Has anyone installed this update?
Yeah I did, and you can't install an Ota on a rooted phone,

Is this update for snapdragon version?

I still didn't get it on my rn4x sd625. But when I do will it be possible to update by flashfire?

Yeah but I'd have to re-setup the phone after flashing it via fastboot. Maybe I'll just pass on this one.

I can't find download link for it on any miui page. Looks like its only available via OTA, as of now.

It's a Beta Stable version for random users.
Bad choice by Xiaomi to propose to upgrade to guinea pig users in the stable branch.

Malaysia. Although I'm from Pakistan, but Xiaomi jas just launched here, so some of Xiaomi services like Theme Store don't work yet if I choose Pakistan as my region, so I've set it to Malaysia.
Currently using firmware 47.1.A.12.270 with root+drm fix. I'm considering to upgrade my phone to Pie but i'm unsure about its stability. I wanna hear how stable is Pie and is it good to upgrade?

Since you are already rooted - you could (probably) downgrade... although I am not able to find official firmware for OREO.
My device is 0FCE:01F3 (seems that there is a different version of Sony Xperia XZ1 with id 0FCE:B00B).
I guess that you have nothing against unlocking the bootloader
So in other words: you could try upgrading and see (although way back might be difficult).
As for me... I have accepted the upgrade and I regret that.
Android 9 Pie blocks one feature that is mandatory for me: call recording is no longer possible.
There should be some gesture navigation - it is not present in pie on xz1.
Except that... you should be going into a better direction. I am not sure about root availability for xz1... shouldn't be a problem I guess?
P.S.
I bought this phone only because my previous (it was gt-n910c) had some HW issues with calls. I wanted a phone with NFC and my assumption was I won't root it (to use banking apps without magisk). Now it seems that my calls are flawed and I might need to use magisk+root... and I am not able to physically remove bloatware (especially spyware called fatbook or something like that). Shame on google, Shame on sony.
As your bl is already unlocked download Xperia firm and see if Pie is available in your region, if so download Newflasher (read how to use it), there is a root guide posted here for Pie.
It's in the guide section

By any chance - do you have stock FW for Oreo ? I am no longer able to get it from xperia servers so downgrading is not possible for me...

I have downloaded G8341_Customized NOBA_1310-7488_47.1.A.16.20_R24B from XperiFirm which is last version of Oero but never got time to flash.
As I don't use call recording, i'm good to upgrade to Pie.
