[Q] lock pattern redundancy - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Slide to unlock appears even when pattern lock is activated. How can I get straight to pattern lock mode after screen is turned on? instead of putting in pattern, then having to slide to unlock to get to homescreen
using feralab 20 final
thx

Question for those using a pattern unlock

Just wondering for those of you using a pattern unlock, when you press the power button to turn the device on, are you presented with the pattern or another screen that you must first swipe and THEN enter the pattern unlock?
One thing that annoyed me about phones running non-stock android was the extra step at the unlock screen before getting to the pattern unlock...
I have a device without branding and I only get the pattern screen. So no extra step.
Same here. Straight to the pattern screen.

[Q]/[REQ] Unlock directly to pattern unlock?

Hey, i was wondering if any of the devs here know of a way to make the phone go directly to the pattern unlock screen when it wakes. I really hate how enabling pattern unlock makes an extra step to unlock the phone (i.e. unlocked with the regular sense lock screen, then drawing the pattern). I can't be the only one who this bothers.
I used to have an epic 4g and when pattern unlock was enabled, the stock lockscreen would simply get disabled so there was only 1 step to unlock the phone. Does anyone know if this would be possible with a sense rom.
Also, ive tried disabling the sense lock screen all together (It then defaults to the AOSP lock), but you still need to slide to unlock, then enter the pattern.
Thanks everyone
I am looking for this as well. AntiLock app might work but I haven't tested it yet.

Disable Lockscreen

Im using widgetlocker and about every 10th unlock instead of showing WL, it shows the stock lockscreen. I tried No Lock, but that didnt work either. Any help would be appreciated.

There is an option in the WL to disable the stock lock screen, i used it b4. Now i have no lock screen using No lock to save some battery. It goes straight to home screen after power on/off
I use that option, it still sometimes goes to the stock lockscreen

[Q] Dual lockscreens

How can I disable the first lockscreen? by this I mean, if I use pin or pattern or password lock, they appear after the first lock screen with the slide to open. I would like when I bring the phone from standby to go straight to the unlock (pin or password) screen rather then first screen which I need to slide to open then the locked screen where I need to input pin or password.

Its been discussed many times that its not possible with default stock Sony firmware. There are couple of threads lying around as well.

Good to know I am alone. Mind you I have not seen it.

Still can't get faceunlock

I've got cyanogenmod 12.1 with android 5.1.2. Normally I use a PIN to unlock my phone but when I'm at home I'd like to just use my face. This doesn't work because I can't get the option for faceunlock.
In Settings -> Lock screen -> Smart lock, trusted faces is on
but in 'choose lock screen', it's not there
and 'Smart lock (Google)' is enabled
Questions:
How do I get faceunlock to work?
How can I use a PIN, except when I'm at home when I want to use faceunlock? I tried setting up trusted places but it didn't work.

Face unlock is a part of smart lock. Since it's not as secure as pin or password Face unlock (and other unlock methods like trusted place) should be used with a pin or password.
If face unlock is switched on under smart lock and configured. That's mean it's working. To confirm it's working lock with the power button and unlock. Then at the bottom instead of a padlock symbol you will see a small face icon. That means the camera is on and searching for your face.

Smart unlock methods stops working if u lock your phone using 3rd party apps. Instead of the lock button.

You're linked to instructions didn't work.
Link worked for me. As explained face lock is now an additional unlock method, you need set a primary one first (pin, pattern, password). Then you can select to use trusted face. I have a pattern lock but if the phone recognises my face when I wake it I can just slide to unlock without enter pattern as it recognises me.
