I don't like what they've done with Google Currents in yesterday's update. What was the app version right before this one (2.0)? Thanks.

I don't know the version number
But I can definitely tell you that there is a huge UI improvement and new version includes a widget. .
I think it is much better..

It's 'pretty,' but it's annoying being only able to see one or two articles at a time in the list.
Ok
i found the version number, 1.5.4

Thanks. I found 1.5.1. Do you have the 1.5.4 apk by any chance?

Sorry to bump an old thread but just wanted to say thank you, I hate the latest update, everything gets grouped into incorrect categories and it's painfully slow to load and buggy.
I am going to stick with the older version, at least it loads pages up fast.

Hey guys. Just updated from ke7 to kg2 and it's all good except the swype keyboard. I much preferred the older one... any way to get it back?

Just curious what is that you don't like from previous version? I'm using it and have no problems with it.

There used to be a popup instead of a line of words like it is now on kg2. It looked much better.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Ahh ok... individual preference I guess
Did you check on the swype beta website and see if you can get the old version?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
I agree this new version is terrible. If I cant find a way to revert to an older version, I will stop using swype! And to think I used to love it before!. I actually believe that v1.6 was the best to use.
So the i777 forum has been on my favorite list since I got the app, and loads up when I open xda app.
But today when I click the forum, it shows 0 threads in it... its blank. I went to the main page and set it as subscribed again... then I had 2 of the same forum in my list; one with threads one without. I deleted the empty one and.... the other favorite became empty. This isn't nice! What's the problem?

I had similar problems over the weekend using tapatalk, all cleared up this morning though.
that happened when i updated, so i deleted my settings and started over. It works now.

Might as well. Nothing to lose. If the problem still exists, let us know. Are you running the latest version? May have something to do with it...who knows.

Hmm that's weird. Atleast the previous version works for you though. I know on the new version I had to "refresh" a lot to fix my favorite issue.

Yeah. I can't live without this app lol. I do find it kind of weird that the new ported forum needed its own favourite since it wasn't under AT&T blah blah general but its there and accessible in some way so I'm happy

How can I download XDA app from google play ? . I can't see this app. But my LG Optimus Black can downloaded.
I see someone post reply with using XDA with YP70. How can I download it. Thanks

I was able to download it no problem... They put a posting that it would be off the market for a few days due to some payment issues. So maybe that is why.

That would explain it. I still think that Tapatalk is far superior tho. You can add more forums.

The XDA app is simply a forum-specific Tapatalk variant that is not updated nearly as often.
For example, the XDA app would FC on Honeycomb devices for months after Tapatalk fixed the issues.
It is back on the market.

hi all
I have had my S3 for just under a year and recently have been growing really frustrated of its performance. It feels slow at time (which is understandable) and it freezes and completely crashes on me randomly through out the day.
I have been running the _null rom for a very long time and find this an amazing experience. I have just today moved over to chaos final v2 rom and that seems just as smooth. I am still however having these crashes!
Any body know what it could be? I must admit my memory is virtually full externally and I have about a cool 3GB internally. This should not make a difference to the system crashes though!
All ideas and responses would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Please read "unusual freeze" thread in general.
This should be in q&a though.

Try factory reset and flash new rom using odin..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I've factory reset my phone already and although it's smoother it shouldn't crash and require a restart! I initially upgraded to this phone so I didn't get these issues but it's getting ridiculous to be honest!

Its not relevant. If you're unfamiliar with the s3 specifically, fyi "generic advice" is not applicable here. Faults and quirks of the s3 are unique to this device so really only owners or developers of the s3 will be able to help through experience.
I know you mean well. I'm just giving some background in case you weren't aware

Great, so you'll be fully versed in the update 7 kernel source code for the S3 that introduced the MOVINAND fix to address the faulty wear levelling code in the 0xf1 VTU00M eMMC memory? And that the issues the OP has mentioned are conducive with the side effects that this fix has on the device?
