I'm not a big game player but I know there are some in these forums and they might be interested in trying some of the PlayStation Mobile (PSM) games on the Evo 3D. The Evo 4G LTE just got built-in certification with the JB update, but it's easy enough to install the certification files on the Evo 3D. They may already be installed if you flashed the XxXPachaXxX Sony mod and selected PlayStation certification.
The Sony description and list of officially certified devices for PlayStation Mobile are here.
Instructions for installing it on a rooted Android device are here.
It also requires setting up an account with Sony if you don't have one already.
I found it works a lot better for me after going into settings and adjusting the size and location of the onscreen controls.

Ok, exactly where can you find these games? The app on the rom takes me to the store, but there are only 10 games there, and they are $6 each. Before I start shelling out that money for my kids to play, I want to see how the system works with a free game or two. I tried going to the web site, but I didn't see anything for Playstation Pocket games, and I sure don't see anything with the giveaway games.

Yea, it takes me to a site called "Wololo.com". It says to open up my ps mobile store, which is attached, and go to mobile section. There is none, only a search icon, which opens up those 10 games at $6 each. There is no other option available there.

Why are you using PlayStation Pocket to get apps for PlayStation Mobile (PSM), which is what this thread is about?
I suggest that you go back to the OP and start by downloading and installing the right app, then you should be able to get the free games.

Yea, in the Sony San rom, there's a Playstation Pocket in it. And when I saw your post, I assumed that was what it was for. Like I said, I don't play many games on my phone, but my kids hijack it all the time (computers, handheld games and tablets aren't enough for them I guess).

Is this the same App that comes with Viper ROM "get games" and has a playstation logo? I dont know because I didnt open that app I only unistalled it.
And something else, I installed the psm.apk and without flashing the add on zip it worked fine I was able to log in and see content, no error do I still need to flash the .zip?

Probably not. Some ROM zips have the certification piece included.
I'm not sure what's in the Viper ROM since I haven't used the app on that but this is PlayStation Mobile not PlayStation Pocket.

Ok so all those advertisements on tv and on youtube show that vibrant has amazing 3D games... In one youtube banner ad it shows an impressive clip from some kind of a helicopter game. Yet where can I download those games? They sure as hell not in market. Market is full of old and outdated games.

I have NFS Shift, Sandstorm, HeavyGunner, HomerunBattle 3d and Gangstar. All fun games with great graphics. I don't believe they're on the market though, you'll have to Google search to find them.
Gameloft has a lot of good games. They make the best I've seen so far but do not sell them on the market. Have to get them through their site. I'm playing Dungeon Hunter, Diablo clone, best graphics I've seen so far.

Google isnt profitting, 30% is the cost of servers, maint, carrier costs, etc.. Atleast thats what we are told.. Google never gave out a breakdown of where all that goes..

It now has zeemote support and hes put a lot more work into the hud... Controls are easier.. Its worth the money... I donated before we even had the kb.. Back in early beta... And andershizzle is quick to reply to questions...

To download games/apps without rooting.. U can easily download apkinstaller from market.. its free! then just drag the apk files from ur comp to ur phone then use apkinstaller to install them no root required i use it for everything!! it works great!
BTW Thank You to all for posting all those great titles!
Lets keep this thread going.... if anyone finds out a new game or a new game in beta please post it here so we all will know.

you dont need a 3rd party .apk installing software to install non market games/apps
Go to "settings" then "Applications" then check mark the box that says
"unknown sources"...allows install of none market apps
Concept: Gamecube emulation via RDP to Xperia Play
I know this may have already been conceived but I wanted to conceptually show the idea. If not then I would like to get some feedback on the idea. This video will show Dolphin latest emu running on a host PC and displayed via RDP. The RDP client supports the d-pad in dolphin but the other buttons do not work. If a developer could add Xperia PLAY hardware button support, Wii will be in business on the Xperia PLAY.
• Run Dolphin or JPCSP on a host pc that is capable.
• Connect to host PC via WIFI on a wireless N network.
I have tried this with various remote desktop apps on the market. I have found that the best and fastest so far is Remote Desktop ver 2.10.X (or whatever the last is). The results of this test I have found to be heavily reliant upon the RDP app. I am not an android dev, Just throwing the possibility out there. Quite honestly I just want to get some GC and PSP love on the Xperia PLAY. I am aware of the devices limitations, I am just thinking out the box. What do you think?

I was wondering about the possiblity of using those emu's by allowing another box to do the heavy lifting. Maybe it's a dumb and pointless idea.

I felt the same way until I ran this particular RDP client that was fast enough to give the results on the video. So I wonder is it possible to get 30fps on the device with support for the buttons and...dare I say it analogs. I mean a stripped down purpose built RDP optimized for the XPlay.

I get all the lag without the fees. but I digress.
Hmm I have tried Onlive and despite my poor 4mb net connection I have not had any lag on it at all.
I use onlive and I love the service. I barely play my ps3 anymore because I have a ton of games on onlive cause there practically giving the games away and micro consoles too. I think everyone should check it out.

Absolutely. I think that's exactly what I looking for. I checked out OnLive. That's amazing and look forward to playing on the PLAY once an app is released.
I was more or less looking to play the classics that I already have. I trolled around a saw something about hardware mapping the analogs.

Hmm is this HC only? I have the view only app installed already. Still on stock GB when i follow your link to download it says not supported download anyway. So i tried the market link. It takes me to the app in the market where it shows an update button. Pushing that it downloads then fails to install saying the package wasn't signed correctly wtf... Help plz!
I have GB ROM and app installed ok (I took the apk posted on XDA servers), I could even register an Onlive account but I can't log due to insufficient internet connection speed... D'oh, prehistoric country I live in!

Sweet, just played a free trial of Dirt 3 and a full version of Lego Batman that came as a free bonus for signing up. This sure beats Angry Birds.
As an aside, World of Goo just came out as a native Android app in the Market. I played it for awhile when it was released on Steam for PC. It's a good game, and has been ported now for touchscreen play on Android.

I lied. Not only does the controller work. In OnLive., it works for navigating the homescreens as well. It works in gta 3 to but the controls are a little funky. Awesome nonetheless. Making me fall in love with the tablet all over again
anyone using this everyday? without issues? if so plz tell me which radio/rom ur using i just installed honeypot 1.1 and haven't ever messed with my radio but for some reason OnLive is saying my wifi isnt fast enough.. so not true tho 50down and 5 up ain't bad
please please please if you know the right combo for daily use of OnLive let me kno

Has anyone had any issues with getting the update for OnLive? The market (Play) keeps telling me that there is an update available but it won't let me install it. Is it safe to assume because I'm rooted?
I just got my EVO LTE a few days ago, so I haven't gotten around to rooting it yet.
On my original EVO 4G, when I click on a video in the Google+ app, the video plays IN THE APP!
On this phone, it opens a web browser and takes me to the Google+ site where the video is located. And once I'm there, the video's wont play!!! Flash is installed and up to date.
I thought a file association dialogue was supposed to open and ask me which app I wanted to play the video? Is there any way short of rooting (which I don't want to do for at least several more days)??? I changed the association from the default browser to Chrome beta, but Chrome can't play the video's either.
In app associations, there is something called, "streaming link", but the only option to choose is "Streaming Media Player". That's apparently not playing them either.

I might be, not sure if it requires root but it probably does. Sorry, I never look for root requirements because I am always rooted.

So why then do these videos not even play in a browser? It's bad enough they don't play directly in google+, but they don't even play in the browser that opens when you click on the video!
I don't think that is because of the Apple thing.
same thing happened to me. I downloaeded MX player from the market and instaaled it. Somehow the problem is gone. I restored back the Google Video play and ask me wich player I want to chose from. Both work perfect now.
Well, I broke down and rooted today. Couldn't take it anymore.
In other news, I see Apple decided to finally update their stuff to state of the art 2010. You go, Apple!
Oh, and don't forget to file a lawsuit against Google for stealing your map idea.

I just wanted to start a topic on tegra 3 and other games that work on the galaxy S4. Last night I did a little testing with a few Tegra games on the S4 that are not in the play store on the device that worked.
(Update) To find almost all games in Play Store follow thes 8 steps Carefully.
(I AM NOT RESPONSABLE IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE OR MESS YOUR PHONE UP. TAKE YOUR TIME)
1. Download this file. (Its used for another fix but helps us also

7. Now go back to main screen and tap the top bar and pick "Device" (so yoyur not searching the Sd the actual "Device" partition for system files.)
8. Look at the folders displayed below and tap the one that says "System"
9. Tap/Open the "build.prop" file with a text editor of your choice.
10. Change the line that says:

11. Save, restart your phone.
12. Go to Aplication Manager in your settings. Clear data for Google Play Store.
FINALLY check the Play Store for a ton of new apps. Give it a few minutes to add the new apps well your searching. Takes a few minutes to see the changes and new apps!!!!!!!!!

So far ive found out that:
The Dark Knight Rises = Workes perfect so far. Great graphics.
(New) Dead Trigger = Working good no issues ive notice. Still trying it out but seems really good and fast loading.
(New) Gangstar Rio = Running perfect.
(New) Samurai II Vengeance = Working good, no issues as of yet.
(New) N.O.V.A 3 = Runs amazing havent had any issues.
(New) Wild Blood = Works fine. No issues at all.
(New)The Amazing Spider-Man = Working good. To bad drawing distance wasnt increased for the game seeing as the s4 has so much ram
(New) Rayman Jungle Run = Works great no issues. Looks nice on the S4.
Real Boxing = WORKING FOR THE FIRST TIME :~)
9mm = NOT WORKING. Non compatible message. Still trying different versions.
NBA Jam = NOT WORKING.
Wanted to add to the list Tegra games that can be bought in the app store (just for reference):
Riptide GP = Works great. Max out graphics settings in options for water splashed on screen, better waves and all around better graphics.
I know theres more in the Play Store just cant remember right this second.
Anyone who has tested Tegra games not purchasable and purchasable in the Play Store feel free to add to the list or do your own testing with different app Could be useful later on, obv the S4 can handle these games.

How did you get the games installed? I bought nova 3 and gangstar rio but cant get them to instalp on this phone
Did you actually find them in the Play Store on your Galaxy S4?
I have all the files and did it all manually. Takes time for me to get them up and running to finally try but most are working.
How are you trying to install them?

i can see it in the play store but it says not compatible i had bought the games with a previous device but really wanna play them on my s4 idk how to get the files manually without a device that gameloft says is compatible they suck with so many restrictions

And from what I've experience, PS3 controller doesn't work that well (I only tested it using Bluetooth). You can use the d-pad, but the buttons on the right and the joysticks don't work too well.
Buy a Moga controller online it is compatible with most games. Download the Moga app to ger an idea of what games are compatible. Basically all the games ive been testing have been updated to work wirh the Moga controller. Looks like an xbox controller with a mount for yoyr cell phone atached.
(New) Nova 3 works great also on the S4

Ill look into that I just got my gameklip yesterday the ps3 controller works flawlessly with emulators
The Moga controller works with a lot of android games and has a second mode I think that helps with emulators. Ill report back once it gets delivered.

I didnt copy I used a list I had to make the modification. Only took a 2 phone models from yours lol. I have game compatibility also on hear which saves people time and money downloading games not knowing if they work. Both our threads are great to have. Ive also been looking at getting the gamws that dont work to work somehow. Must be more of a work around.

lol riiighhhtt, if you say so...
anyways there is an app called ChainFire 3D. it requires root to work and it works by adding in the NVIDIA drivers, so tegra exclusive games can be played. It also has a PlayStore fix, but i don't know if its been tested on the S4. maybe thats something you wanna look into?
I know about Chainfire 3d. Have all ready been looking if it can help.

NVM, looks like ChainFire 3d will lead to a brick since it doesn't work on JellyBean
I tried another method. Was suppose to work on 4.2.2 but caused boot loop.

cant try out new method the bootloader is locked and can't have cwm installed
