Trying to put ICS on the phone (Vashista's ROM) I bricked my phone. The PC still recognizes it like flash device and usb mass storage, the LED's still working (green). When I turn it on, it frezzes at the black screen with the words: "Sony Ericsson".
I read some similar threads but I can't fix it,, using SuperOne Click, Flasht Tool, PC Companion, SEUS, PC Suite. My phone connects but can't be recognized by the tools. I have all drivers working properly. Can someone help me please? I'm very desperate, please help me. :crying:

did you flash another kernel?
if not, put it on "sony ericsson update service" and flash the original firmware to start completely new, or
flash another custom kernel and out of thats recovery a new firmware.
if you did flash , download the stock kernel and do the same as above
for stock kernel search in xda: dixperia 7, there.in OP you will find it.

Hi all! At the beginning sorry for my english
I have similar problem:
I've rooted and unlocked bootloader in xperia x10i - everything was fine. Then I've tested some custom roms, and after flashing some custom ICS I've noticed a problem with signal, so i've decided to install stock firmware. Unfortunately someting gone wrong and phone was bricked so the only option was to use Update Service to repair phone. After that: My Polish simcard from Orange is not recognized and there is "no service" issue. British simcard (3 network) is recognized but I've got also no service/full signal with "emergency calls only". On both cards phone is detecting network providers but cannot login to any network (your sim card does not allow connection to this network).

so, the telephone is rooted, i have no signal, and no possibilities to restore earlier system because of impossibility to install cwm/xrecovery, sim certificate is not recognized (date signs on the back of a phone "10w14")
Is there anything i can do?

*someone should really remove those old tools and recommend unlocking by flash tools alone because this is happening to too much users*
Try flashing over 2.3 and doing the process over again and from now on avoid that program and only us flashtools.

Thanks guys, finally solved it, back to 2.3.3 stock everything and my x10 worked again, Now I'm running ICS on my X10. :laugh:

understand scripts inside packages ( *.ta extension )
benefits over flashtool : small, fast, no need any "jaba"

stock kernel for unlocked bootloader from DoomLord.
EDIT :
When I try to use this tool to restore bootloader, I'm unable to boot on my phone.
Then I try to reflash stock firmware again with Flashtool. Now, it able to boot on.
Maybe this tool cannot be used on Stock Kernel provided by DoomLord.
Flash the kernel from SE 2.3 FW. You will be able to get back to regular "Sony Ericsson" boot.

Is there any method which tell you exactly about bootloader either it's locked or unlocked? I am asking this question because I run @9Lucas5 method and than I restored Thejap Rom. After the restore, I got Xperia bootanimation (first) SE animation and finally Thejap boot animation. Yesterday, I install Thejap new version and now SE bootanimation is disappeared and I have Xperia and Thjap BA. Phone with excellent deep sleep (85%) and great battery life. (which is reported by many unlocked BL user very bad) Now if I want to go back by this method what will happended when I don't know my phone's BL is LOCKED or UNLOCKED.
VERY SIMPLE WAY TO FIND IF U HAVE LOCKED/UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
DOWNLOAD THE S1TOOL pc application from 1st post
do the following:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
click on Identify
Connect device in FLASH MODE
check output
check the marked strings
if the strings begin with "r" (lower case) then bootloader is UNLOCKED
if the strings begin with "R" (upper case) then bootloader is LOCKED
Curious... Are you the same the_laser that makes SEtool and LGtool? If so, you are certainly awesome
Edit.
Wow, my sig is waaaaaaaay out of date!
Also would the same rule apply when identifying in setool? r for unlocked, R for locked? Got an x10 that identifies loader as DEAD, just wondering if there's any hope for it or is that the funniest most accurate piece of code ever?

If you're still locked bootloaded, You can update your rooted x10 first to official 2.3.3GB via SEUS/Sony PC Companion to get latest 2.1.71baseband and semc kernel, most customs needs 2.1.71baseband requirement anyway. So save your work time little. And yes, you need to root again but for best use suitable flashtool for root 2.3.3 once updated. Then you will be able get xrecovery installed for your X10 after rooted and done installing it. My signature link got those tutorial pdf, necessary tool download links. Although older version, but safer Feel free visit them, and if they're helpful, please kindly hit thanks in thread, for keeping them alive for future newcomers Cheers and goodluck.

CMW or clock work mod recovery is a tool which enables you to install roms and apps and much more at the boot time..
if you haven't perform backup and installed cmw then only thing left would be to flash cmw and reset factory.. or you can flash official stock ics firmware ( download here ) via flash tool.... you didn't understand fully, right? yeah its common among newbies... reply me and i'll tell you what to do next,,,

Just search for the ftf of your land on google and flash it with flashtool.
Or try restoring origianl software using pc comapnion or sony ericsson update service...#
BTW: Did you unlock bootloader? Cause then your warranty is void, and to flash firmware using flashtool bootloader unlock isn't necessary!

The easiest way to root a Xperia mobile is as following
First unlock bootloader that you can do using official Sony site
Then instal Flashtool from androxide's official site
Then instal it on your PC . Go to c drive of your PC, then you will see a folder named Flashtool there you will see a folder named drivers instal drivers of Xperia mini x10 ( as it is same as your live with Walkman)
Download rage kernel from net its a custom kernel which has CWM and su binaries .copy it to your desktop
Now connect your mobile in your PC with holding volume up button a blue led will glow showing your mobile in fastboot mode. If it is win 7 it will install ADB drivers by itself if it is win xp then download PDA net on PC and install it it has ADB drivers.
Now after all this the rooting is very easy it won't result in bricking as it is the safest method
Connecting you phone in fastboot mode click open Flashtool and then click flash icon on top left select fastboot mode then another page will open select kernel to flash . Browse kernel it will be boot.img which you have kept on desktop select and Flashtool will automatically instal it in your device. Check the log. It will say reboot your device. Then take it out and start tour phone. It will show blue led after boot press volume up or down you will see cwm recovery.
Means you have rooted phone

Hi,
So yesterday I wanted to reset my phone because it was getting a bit to laggy. I full reset it through the wizard on the phone and it went in instant bootloop.
I had flashed ICS on my Xperia Sola before and unlocked the bootloader.
I tried googling for some solutions and I followed this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/general/how-to-resolve-softbrick-upgrade-to-ics-t2023135
But the problem I find is that it just does not work for me. I always get this error on flashtool:

I also tried restoring it with the Sony program but when I try to connect the device I get an error that this cannot be done with a windows 8 computer.
If anyone knows how to fix this I would be so greatfull..
Thanks and kind regards!

Try setting compatibility mode for the programme you are trying to run on windows 8 that don't run

From the flashtool log, your phone seems to connect and instantly disconnect from flash mode. Try using Win 7 with proper driver (flashmode,fastboot and adb) first if you can. Otherwise check your battery too if it depleted.

Just press the power on button. If the red led blinking means your battery is low thus you cant boot your device up. If no red led blinking then your battery depleted.
