This was one of my favorite apps and of course the new GB update totally messed up this application. I spent a few weeks muddling through without it and then the 3D came out so I now have that phone but I really would like to have this app working again. Is there any chance that anyone is working on this????
I know that whoever was working on it just dropped it like a hot potato but it would be really nice if someone would post some kind of update or inform us that the Wimax Notifier has taken it's last breath.
It was an awesome app. It reminded me of BerryBuzz for Blackberry and I would pay to have an app to work like that for my Evo......
I loved that program too for my evo. I have the 3d now and I'm guessing there isn't even a 2nd. Notification light but man i wish we could make it blink a different color for txt, Email, etc... Very handy to have

Wimax Notifier!
I"d also love to have this app working on my E3D
Reminded me of berrybuzz also I do miss it a lot. **** I wish it would even flash for longer than 5 min.

I have seen a video on YouTube for siri for android, but apparently it only comes with Samsung Galaxy,iv tried Eva,omega, iris, etc but the galaxy version can be used without touching the Mic,it has a magic word,as soon as the words "Hi Galaxy" are said the app starts working, does anyone know any other apps that have a magic word to activate, insted of pressing the Mic on screen.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
That seems weird, since it means the mic would have to be on 100% of the time, and software would have to monitor what you say. Seems like epic battery drain to me.
I agree with above comment, also I really don't understand why people want siri on Android, Cant you guys just be happy with the one pre-installed? Yea It don't do all that cool stuff but hey it works..
Update,here is the video link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK0HNN4qLYc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I'm going put the link up for you, Nokia used to have a magic word years ago,so its nothing new ,I'm just amazed we still have to touch the screen,in todays technology, ill put the clip up so you can see what I mean.

The mic was active once the app opens. He'd have to use a touch interface to open the app though. If he closes that app, saying, "Hi Galaxy" won't do anything.

Well, that clears it up for me. I can't see any app wanting the mic & software to be running 100% of the time. That'd seriously drain your battery. At that rate, rather than launch the app, I'll just long press the search button to open voice search. Same amount of touches, same result.
I thought with cIQ the mic is active? oh wait maybe that was their next update. LOL
How often would you really use Siri is my question.
Support TrevE! Fah Q CIQ!!
I know some people who use Siri a lot. I imagine it's like how texting was when it first came out. All you have to do is get used to it.

Ok, does anyone know which voice application will do the same as this galaxy version, with the "Hi Galaxy" part, can we port it?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
download vlingo put it in car mode and say hey vlingo it will say what would u like me to do...same as siri make sure auto listen is enabled in settings for car mode
Thankyou, can that be done without car mode?

Hmmm will siri talk dirty to me?

Lookup Jeannie on the market. You can shake the phone to wake the app, then speak. Also very witty and intuitive like siri.

When ever I try to do the camera demo on my phone it say no video found.
Why oh why did HTC make the option to watch the demo but not make a video?
By the way, the way you find the demo option. Is:
Go to camera, then hit menu. Scroll down to the bottom and hit tutorial, then click demo on bottom right side of screen.

I watched this video from my camera the first day I got the phone in November, 2011. I tried today and it is gone. Strange!
do you guys think that on the ICS update they are gonna get away with the amazing camera we have? just wondering man, when i got the g2x, and then it was updated to gingerbread they took off the nice camera 1080p recording to vanilla gingerbread camera 720p recording,
idk this just got me confuse, oh and by the way if you search on youtube tmobile that video will come up, idk now i havent tried
Checked it out 2 months ago or whenever I opened the box, it wasn't available.
It felt 'creepy' because it didn't seem right that a link from HTC placed on a $600.00 phone to YouTube was gone.
Things like that don't just happen.
The more I think about it, the Amaze is the twilight zone of phones right now, I really love the twilight zone.
"Twilight Zone" theme song is now in your head.
you're welcome.
I find the notifications and the app to be sluggish at times and I know it has nothing to do with the phone.

Just use the web version...and push notifications work just as fast in the app. as my iPod..they both alert at the same time.

Their updates are garbage too. I always have to read the comments before updating because they almost always have some sort of problem.

Blackberry sems to be the only one with a reliable + official Facebook app from my experience.
And that phone is for dinosaurs.
Neither my iPod Touch 4 or EVO gets them consistently.
The facebook app is an embarrassment to that company. I truly can't believe they havent done something about it. Google+ has one of the best looking and functioning mobile apps I have personally ever used, fb should take notes.

The FB app sucked on the OG EVO. It's not the phone. It's ridiculous that a website of that stature has such a crappy app.
I agree, the app is so slow I usually just give up before the content is fully loaded and turn on my computer haha.
Slow as hell on my One X aswell, almost bought an s3 in a rage
You would figure for a multi billion dollar company they could do a simple app. It worked way better before they added everything. I normally go through the browser anyways. I don't need up to date notifications but if you did why not turn on text notification? I mean you get unlimited texts anyways.

I might just uninstall all updates, it will run quicker. I figure every update is for advertisers gain, not ours

Funny you mention that. I haven't noticed any ads on the mobile version and I figure they just use our data as "payment". Overall I kind of want to ween off of Facebook. I feel they sold out just at the right time.

It sucks cause Facebook sucks they can't even run a chat service without people"signing on and off" all the time

Ww need a new social network. Every dog has it's day, and maybe Facebook has had theirs? Although it should be a network defined by it's users, not controlled by profit and exposure.
FYI, the facebook app for Blackberry is actually made by RIM, but with facebook's support. That's why it doesn't suck as bad.
Also, facebook's app on iOS (both iPhones and iPads) suck. Countless mistakes and bugs and they never update it either. I usually just end up using the mobile web version of it.
They have no real mobile strategy. That's why the stock is crapping out. If they had a plan to make $$$ off a mobile platform they might care about its quality and ability to draw customers for advertisers.

At least with Sense's Friendstream, Facebook at least seems functional (to a degree).
Google+ is great, just none of my friends are on it lol, but it does things Facebook wish it could do. I love the messenger on G+. While trying to use Facebook's, snail mail may be a more effective use of time lol.
Sorry for the bad quote, I wish the XDA app would work better with my Transformer :banghead:

Try FriendCaster, much better IMO than FB app has ever been.

Is there an app that will allow the pic in pic like the gs4 has? Where you can input your self photo via front facing camera while taking a pic with rear camera?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yeah there is it's called buy an S4. Lol
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
To each their own but I can't see how that feature is useful. Not hating on the s4, my girl has it and it is great but when I was showing her everything it can do all she cared about was getting her dice with friends account working to continue her games. I couldnt get the gestures to work or the eye scroll thing to work. The only gimmick that is has that I like is the multi window feature. That and the whole designated menu button. I hate having to add the mod to enable a menu and get rid of that stupid three dot bar. If I wanted on screen buttons to take up more of my screen is buy a nexus phone.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I don't want an s4...just an app that can duplicate that one camera feature that is in fact fun to use. I handle both the One and the S4 all day at work. The feature is not worth getting the S4 over the One.
