The audio is amazing with Dolby Digital on the 920 - Nokia Lumia 920

Does anybody else think the audio software/hardware on this thing is one of the best out there? When I turned on the Dolby Digital option, I was blown away! Such an underrated feature of this phone.
Thoughts?

Yes, but why you can't access the equalizer from the music app is idiotic.

Something I can live with. I only adjust the equalizer in the beginning anyway. Once I'm happy with the setting, I tend to stick with that setting forever.:good:

PureXaudio with HTC One

During the installation of the ARHD 9.1 I checked the option for PureXaudio.
I figured it's not an app because I don't see it in the app list. Is this more like beats audio enhenser? Something you install and it adjust the sound regardless of the player you use?
How do I turn it on/off? I am using Winamp and Rocket Player. Neither player's setting have an option to turn the purexaudio function on.
Please help.
Thanks !
It's always on. No settings or anything.

Thanks!
On a side note, I am trying out different audio player and have noticed an issue of strong background hissing.
I tried a few different combination of players having Beats Audio on and off but the problem is beyond bearable to my standards. Some players are better than the others but non so far is satisfactory.
Do you have an audio player that you recommend?
Once again thanks for your help
Do you guys notice any difference with PureXaudio?
I thought the Beats is already pretty good, so I don't install that.

That's what I need for BT music using play music.
You can make headphones louder by using adapt sound. It customizes sound based on your hearing ability.

I listen more on my trucks radio and would like to improve sound level and good base. I notice when I increase base with built in app it causes the sound to decrease a little.

I recommend "neutron". It costs a few bucks but it is the best "music player" I've used. Mainly for the reasons you mention. It comes with built in EQ AND preamp to not only increase volume but also to increase "signal strength" or "gain". It basically has a preamp. It also has settings that adjust the preamp automatically(if 1 song is stronger than the other and the app senses "clipping" it will reduce the gain automatically.)
I have no affiliation with the app it's just the only 1 I've come across that has the EQ and gain features needed to boost the signal.
Note: I've never connected to my car via bluetooth but the features I mention work no matter if I'm using the earphone jack or the phone speaker so they should work when connected via BT as well.
on edit: The "signal" could be decreasing when you increase the bass because the app senses "clipping" or "distortion". So it's not the volume that decreases is the signal strength or "gain" like on an amp. Check the sound settings and see if there is anything that controls "clipping" "signal strength" "dither" "gain" or anything like that.

Sorry about the confusion. These setting are separate settings outside of an EQ. These would be settings in a particular "music player". As I stated finding these settings in a basic music player is rare which is why I recommended "Neutron". Your music player may just "reduce signal strength" when distortion is detected to keep the average listener from blowing speakers by turning the EQ settings up to high(or the tone settings bass/treble).

sound

Is there equalizer app or something to improve sound?
Not while using headphones (aka not huawei sound effects)
My sound is very very low on latest update. I think Huawei broke something.
Question, does Mate 10 pro uses internal dac and sends analog signal trough USB port or it needs an active dongle with dac inside like Pixel and most phones?

I feel that too i think my sound speakers were louder when i first got it
They could improve it alot by allowing the earpiece act as stereo rather than high frequency
As i have stereo+ turned on so in youtube for example when i rotate the phone the sound experience really changes
As I've said elsewhere download equalizer pro. Works brilliantly and I use all the time with Spotify.

You want the audio to be diverted into 2 separate audio receivers. As far as I know, androidv in particular cannot do that.
Well, samsung, note 9 in particular, can do it so I was kinda wondering if its a software thing that can be made available to other android devices.

The best eq audio for S20U

Hi guys, I have a S20 Ultra and I had the pleasure of sharing my equalizer settings. I am an audio technician, and for me these settings are the best! Try doing the switch with "Custom" and "Normal". Let me know! If you want, set dolby atmos as "music".
(the first two bands are worth nothing, because the frequency range starts from 130hz) This setting also work with s20/s20+, since they have the same sound system. I recommend using these settings with high quality audio files, such as flac hires.
For the best eq, for stock akg headphones:
v1.0, see post #9;
v1.5, see post #16;
v2.0, see post #43 (wrong post)
v2.1, see post #46 (the best).

Try this... set 8k -6
4k -5,
2k -6,
1k -8,
500 -7,

the front speaker (the call speaker) produces the lowest frequencies, starting from 130Hz. Therefore the 125hz and 63hz do nothing

Try this configuration for AKG headphones, without dolby atmos activated, compare with "Normal" and "Custom", and let me know! I have to give it another look, so I don't assure you of anything, but you can very well try! (If you want less bass, 63hz -2)

Thank you OP - amazing share!!
Makes a big difference, especially at higher volumes when compared to the 'normal' setting.
I mainly listen to Hip-hop/RnB on loudspeaker when I'm in the bathroom. This equaliser setting has made the music sound 'crisp' and not distorted.
Are there any custom settings for Hip-hop music via loudspeaker?
I have left Atmos on but set this to music.
What setting should I use when using my Sony WF-1000XM3 Bluetooth headphones? If only there was an easy way to have multiple pre-sets.

This is one of the best eqs, according to my assessment tools and my ear ... if you already hear it more than well, it is useless Then if your ear hears less frequencies or more frequencies is another matter ...
As for your bluetooth headphones, on the internet I found the frequency answer (1.jpg). Usually for a better equalization rate you have to take the photo (1.jpg) and turn it upside down (2.jgp). Once this is done, the phone equalizer must be more similar to the modified photo (2.jpg). If you see (3.jpg) I did this for you, and it is more than similar to the modified photo (2.jpg). This is one of the best ways to equalize headphones. Let me know how it feels!
