I just flashed 6.1.1.b.1.54 via flashtools and this message 'all check points reached' is in the status bar, I can't figure how to get rid of it.
anyone know what it is??
I ran into the same 'problem', and figured it had to do with Wisepilot. But then I couldn't even find that anymore, I'm guessing it was removed at some point?
The solution I found was to freeze (or delete) com.sonyericsson.startupflagservice (/system/app/StartupFlagV2.apk), though not sure if that was used for other things as well :silly:

I updated my x10mini to 2.1 NOW I CANNOT INSTALL APPS THE market just says download starting and dosen't do anything. And My Applications Icon(in 1.6) on the phone is GONE i cannot install aps from my SD card like i used to helP!!!
Mod edit : mind your attitude please. You are unlikely to get an answer by asking in this way.
I remember, I have the same problem with my phone (1.6 that time).
Try going to: Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> (find market, and uninstall the update - it's in it when you click at market icon).
Then just go to market app, and try downloading. Good luck.
Tried that on 1.6 then when i'm on2.1 the updater is already disabled
Well, your right. Just checked that. Try hit the menu button in market, and go to "Downloaded/Installed", and see if you can do something. Also try reset your phone, or in worst scenario just rapair via pc companion.
GO to settings-apps-market-clear recent data
Sent from my E10i using XDA App
Deleted pc companion while updating it then tried to install it = cant.
SEUS maybe? And define "cant". The app wont install, or update cannot be performed? So low on info from you
Connected usb install pc companion. Installing ur phone is nt connected

Admins, close this thread please.
h4kim - you need to visit a doctor and learn some manners. get lost until than.
Try this:
Install 91 PC Suit for android from http://91-pc-suite.software.informer.com/
and connect your phone with USB debugging ON
Your phone shows up if it is connected properly.
If you are using windows right click the icon in the quick launch and for one of the options you have a arrow. Click on it and you will find English at the bottom, select it, now everything will turn English.
Now go to System and Apps. There you can install apps onto your phone from your PC.
Please be patient and nice, everyone has problems here
May be I am too late.

h4kim, your frustration does not entitle you to being rude. No one is obliged to help you, we offer advice freely. If the advice doesn't solve your problem then look further.
Swearing at those who try to help you will not inspire assistance from other forum users.
I have closed this thread for several reasons.
1. OP, you have posted in the wrong place. This is development, NOT Q&A) You are asking for help here, so this belongs in general or Q&A.
2. OP, please try and use a descriptidescriptive title, rather than profanity, whether starred out or not.
3. Do not flame those who are kind enough to try and help you with this beginnerbeginner question. This is a very common issue, usually caused by a server-side problem with the market servers. Usually clearing data as described, and then waiting for the issues to go away is best.
@All, rather than flaming in threads like this, please use the report post feature to alert the moderator team, and refrain from flaming yourself. Those posts have been removed.
Finally, moved as not development.
yesterday I suceeded on rooting and I was on root explorer ro remove google and bing, and I think I removed something that I shouldnt of, then marker started not working, like when I click marker, it shuts down , so I did factory reser and still now working, can anyone help me?
Post this in General, this has nothing to do with development! And people wonder why the devs stopped posting here!
Hiya guys,
Wanted to ask a question cos i'm totally stuck.
Everytime i reboot my phone i get an error message saying:
Code:
Sorry!
The application CrashMonitor
(process com.sonyericsson.crashmonitor) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.
___________
[[u]Force close[/u]]
I have no idea why this has happened, in Titanium Backup Pro i have "CrashMonitor 1.0" and it says it is still there fine, but then i have "com.sonyericsson.android.crashsms" with a line through it, saying No backup yet and a "!" in a triangle too. I dont know if this is gonna be anything to do with my problem.
I dont know if this is a big deal or not, so i though i would throw it open to everyone on here, and see if i can get a way to fix it.

(53 views over night and no replies doesnt look good for me then, lol)
Im not 100% sure myself but when i have used titanium in the past and uninstalled something it appears in the list with a line through it. Try reinstalling the crashsms.apk and see if it is any different. Apks off phone.
If you have not uninstalled "com.sonyericsson.android.crashsms" then im not sure what could be causing it, maybe backup your apps/setting and then reflash the fw from here onto the phone again?

I have just reinstalled this and it has made no difference, couldn't see CrashMonitor on that list of things to try reinstalling that too
Gonna ask on that thread and see if there is anyone someone can upload the file for me to reinstal.
Thanx for ur help
I think it is a system app and can't be removed. Mine crashes a lot also.
Maybe the 2.3.3 update will stop it.
I deleted crashsms and don;t have crashmonitor at all.
You can remove crash monitor safetly??? Are you sure your play stuff runs fine afterwards?
Sent from my XPlay using XDA App.
Cool.
I wonder what it is used for.
I assume it is to report crashes to SE. Too bad it can't report its own crashes.

It probably crashes when it tries to report its own crashes.
You can always back it up with titanium backup before deleting it.
I froze CrashMonitor 1.0 in Titanium Backup, rebooted my phone, and there was no crash think on start up, no idea what it was doing but it seems to be sorted now its been frozen, i guess i'll leave it like that till i have any issues with NOT having it, lol.
Thanx for all the help guys!!
Can I safely remove it?

I think we need a "safe to remove" thread or something
We got one, it's somewhere in the general board. Just use search...

Not sure if this is the right place for this, or if it should be in General... BUT, can anyone tell me how to remove the Barnes and Noble Launcher and replace it with another (Looking at GO for now unless there's a way to run Nova on the current firmware. I'm looking at 1.4.2 right now (I saw the 1.4.0 stripped of B&N with GO launcher in its place)).
Any help would be appreciated
Yeah, this should probably be in General. And you'll need root access to install a new launcher.
you know... I ALMOST included "Yes, I have root" in my original post... but I thought, There is NO WAY someone would assume that given the question, I wouldnt have root access... that being said, YES, I have root access..
So, since you know i NEED root access... do you know how to accomplish this feat? or you just felt like telling me it should be in general, and that I need root?
Can an OP move this to general please?

This is a question. It should go in Q&A, not general.
If your launcher is available on the play store just install it and use button savior to hit home. Once you do that there will be a popup asking which launcher you'd like to use. Click the checkbox and select your launcher.
To remove the stock launcher, I would use AntTek app manager or Titanium to freeze the apk. That way if you ever need it, it's there. Only do it once your other launcher is installed.

Wow really? Have you ever read some of the questions that get asked around here? Then you'd understand why I have to assume you don't even know what root is. Sorry for trying to help you as simply as possible.
By the way, yeah, just install a launcher from the Play Store that are compatible. Then use that one as default.
Sorry, Been a member a long time, and yes.. I sometimes forget people have NO clue what it is that is needed prior to asking when they try doing something the device wasnt originally set up to do. I sort of equate the statement "Is it rooted" or "It needs to be rooted first" to something along the lines of: "How do I install a new transmission in my BMW" with an answer of "You need to have a BMW first". That being said, I have GO Launcher installed, but every time I hit the home key, it brings up the B&N interface, To get to GO, I have to go through TaskXP. Currently I'm using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494367
Using the 1.4.2 version.

This is quite right. In my experience, if you want answers its best to give as much information as possible. Depending on the device it might consist of:
Bootloader unlocked, yes/no
S-off/on (HTC)
Root access, yes/no
Custom recovery, yes/no, if yes, what recovery + version
Current software version (if stock what version, if a rom, what version, etc)
Custom kernel, yes/no, if yes, what kernel/version
Solar is specifically referring to some posts we have seen on the nook forums; many nook users are very very new to Android and don't realize how important it is to provide the above information when asking for help.

@Luke, my thought process exactly.
@OP, no problem, I understand.
Anyway, I haven't been on stock ROM for a long time, but try installing an app called Homecatcher. It prompts you which launcher you want when you hit the home button. After that, you can set a launcher to default.
I have a cell phone - Onix, Android version 5.0, model number AAP453G-1015
It has a very nasty trojan on it, which I can't get rid of with anything, including Malwarebytes, and various 'stubborn trojan remover apps' downloaded from Google Play Store.
Nothing works.
A Malwarebytes scan says 'your device has issues', then when I select 'fix now' it shows the problem, being ..
Android/Trojan.Spy.Agent.el
/system/app/OP_GoogleSearch/OP_GoogleSearch.apk
Then when I confirm I want to delete the item, the only thing that comes up is
'do you want to uninstall this app?'
Selecting yes results in 'Uninstall 'Unsuccessful'
I have done a factory re-set three times, and every time, it is still there. I have removed the SD card, changed sim card .. all to no avail.
I have been around various forums and they directed me here. Hope I'm in the right place / thread.
Thank you for any assistance.
Are you rooted? You can only remove that app if you have root.

Thanks. I found 'Kingo Android Root'. That allowed me to take full control of my phone and kill the trojans.
