A pen is impossible to use with zagg screen protector.. What screen protector should be used with this phone that's helpful with using the s pen?
This a very opinion oriented question. SPG is usually pretty good. ZAGG is too soft for the Spen.

+1 here as well, and same goes for my wife's Note 2 and my brother's. We are all running the Verizon screen protectors and it's super smooth and slick, but it's comforting knowing that there is some form of protection on the screen.
So far hasn't interfered with S Pen operation at all.

I've gone through two SPG(spigen) protectors, the ultra crystal and ultra optics. Honestly I don't like either of them. The ultra optics is matte so it's very rough and skips when using the S-Pen, but leaves no scratches and very little blemishes or fingerprints in the screen protector. The ultra Crystal is actually very nice and smooth, and almost feels like glass, but it gets surface scratches from everything, ESPECIALLY the S-Pen! It works great, and isn't usually noticeable, but if the screen is dark you can see it's scratched to high hell...but at least it's the protector that's scratched and not the screen.
For $15, I definitely don't think they are worth it at all, and I plan to send both of them back. Might have to try the Verizon one if they are that good. Mainly just want a smooth surface that doesn't scratch the protector, and works smoothly with the S-Pen.

i am using a screen protector from bestskinsever.. its great. pretty smooth for a ghost armor/zagg style, doesnt drag on the spen, and looks great. i was afraid the pen would leave marks, but has held up great so far. plus it was super cheap compared to the other brands of scratch proof protectors.
Surprisingly, the Verizon protector isn't so bad as far as pen feel and pretty well priced with my discount. But, i got cat hair under the first one when applying it, the second went back with the phone I had to return but already had some light scratches after 3 days. The third in the pack is on the replacement phone now and I'm waiting for a "just like glass" to arrive shortly. I ordered one for my wife's new gs3 too. They are super expensive but reportedly worth it.

I have the SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear on my GN2 and they are perfect, no loss of S-Pen functionality. I can say that I would not have every considered the 3M material based screen protectors based on the material type and that any use of the S-Pen would show up and wreck the material quickly. The SGP ones are $15.99 for a 2 pack or try the ones Verizon sells in a 3 pack for $13 but they are better when it comes to pen use.

Lol that brand name sounds so generic to me. Have you tried it personally?
I bought my Zagg at best buy mobile when me and my wife got our phones this month. they had a promo to get 2 for $35. I immediately took advantage since i hate scratches and smudges on my screen. No complaints really. only thing is, you can definitely tell where the s pen has been when the screen is off. The grooves the s pen leaves are hardly bothersome, but could be annoying to some. The grooves don't seem to ever go away, but are less noticeable the more you use your s pen.
Sent From My Gargantuan Note 2
I think its a toss up. The Spigen SGP protectors are pretty nice and are cheaper. The Invisible Shield HD is the best zagg offering: imo the smudge proof one really makes the screen look bad.
Zagg are more prone to peeling in pockets. Heat above 90 and being in the sun will almost guarantee you'll need a replacement. Spigen covers less of the phones edges.
Sorry I didnt have a coupon

I have them on a acer, macbook air, nexus 7 and my note. They are awesome, cheap and the service is great.
Honestly you will be greatly disappointed if you plan on using your S-Pen at all, every time you use it the indentations will build up and the Zagg Shield will look really crappy. Get something like SGP Steinheil, or something like it they will hold up to S-Pen use and daily abuse.

Mine is built into my Otterbox case. I forget which model, I'll have to look for you, and I absolutely hate it. It's raised very slightly off my screen so I have to press down a with a little more effort, it hinders my typing speed. I'm planning on taking an exacto blade and taking out the screen protector and using one of the regular ones, but damn it I always get air bubbles

You have an otterbox defender. And I'm considering doing the same thing. I'm thinking of getting one of those "wet apply" screen protectors to avoid getting bubbles. I might just get a ghost armor next time I go to the mall.

I wanted a ZAGG invisible shield, as I had one for the HTC EVO V 4G and it was the 1st screen protector I used, it was great quality. I searched everywhere and could not find one for the DNA, only 1 store on Amazon had it and it got bad reviews. I decided to go with the Armor Military Grade one. Had it on for a couple days, so far feels just as great as the ZAGG.

I use this screen protector on mine and I love it. This was my first screen protector where you need to apply wet and I haven't looked back since putting it on. It doesn't take away from the display and fits perfect and is easy to put on. I ordered mine off amazon and got it cheaper than 12$ at the time. I also got a lifetime warranty on it so if it gets too worn down I will just get a new one. Deffidently the best one I have found so far.

Word! I can't stand the feel of screen protectors. The feel of the glass in way better. I treat my phone like a baby, and sit in an office all day. I guess if I were out in the field I might put a protector on it. But this is the whole point of all this high-tech glass, to make them virtually impossible to break or scratch.

Glass is glass. It will still shatter with enough force (not that a screen protector would save it from that). But even still, small particles of sand and rock and such can still easily scratch the screen. Don't believe its scratch proof when its scratch resistant.

I ordered one over the weekend, should be here on Thursday. Over at AndroidCentral there is a user in the GN3 forum who did get one from ATT and she is pretty happy with it.
I got one from the att store. The store lady did a great job putting it on for me. I am very happy with it so far, very clear & smooth, the pen glides smoothly over it. Btw, they only charged me $35 for it.

Good price, it's $40 on Amazon, $45 from bodyguards.com.
Does it have rounded edges? If not it's more likely to chip and maybe lift.

The edges are rounded and follow the shape of the phone, not sure if that's what you meant.

No, I mean if you laid it flat & looked at it from the side is the top edge curved so there is less grab when your finger or the edge of a case rub against it.

using the bodyguard tempered glass. it doesn't have round edges but i love it. it makes the phone look premium. no lifting. would recomended but not for $45. since you can get same quality with rounded edges like bason or spigen. bodyguard also includes lifetimewarranty which is good and it can justified the high price.
I put my bodyguardz one on last night. I found that I needed to let it sit and sort of get itself adhered to the glass. Otherwise when I put my Diztronic case on it the screen protector kept lifting up on one corner. After about 10 minutes it was fine and hasn't been an issue again.

I don't like skinomi protectors on anything with a pen input. It just doesn't slide well. Back protection, sure. Sides, sure. Screen? No way.
The only one I did like with the pen input was the HTC view and that had a different stylus.
I've had skinomi for my note 10, note 8, and a bunch of phones. They work well on the phones (S4, s3, droid razr etc) but with the s-pen it felt terrible. Constantly dragging and digging into the skin. Just not an enjoyable experience.
When I initially installed the protector on my note 10, I gave it two days to settle before using it, and it wasn't enough. I had to leave the thing sit for over a week before it was acceptable and that's not something I have the luxury of doing with my phones. I had even contacted customer support and they were the ones to suggest letting it sit for at least a week before using.
I could assume it was just the amount of solution used, but I've used skinomi products enough to know what I'm doing and I won't waste my time using them for anything with pen input now.
I bought 2 of the skinomi clear ones during the sale. Thanks for the fyi. I just installed the sides and the back one for the camera and use a tempered glass for the front. So far I like it and it gives the phone better side grip. Although I probably wouldn't have bought it if it was regular price however. It would be nice if they just sold the sides and the camera one separately.

Screens do get scratched and you must need a protector.
Sent from Galaxy Note 3 SM-n9005
I wouldn't say it's easy to scratch the screen. It is possible though and it's much cheaper to replace a screen protector than a screen. Sounds like you were using a cheap plastic one. I'd recommend you look into a tempered glass protector which will not compromise the look and feel of the device compared to plastic protectors and you certainly won't have any problems with the protector being marked with the pen.

WOW... I have been using one for 2 months now... never scratched it. PLUS you can get a new one for the price of shipping from them as they are lifetime.
I recommend a screen protector with ALL S view cases. they tend cut into the screen at mid point. Temper glass should be better. Get one with smooth edges though.
