Hello,
I've found several topics about rooting, flashing an original 2.3.6 version to a custom rom, etc...
But I'm a beginner in Android and not confident enough in my english to be sure of what I understand and make a tutorial from the beginning to the end about how to root a device under 2.3.6.
That's why I ask if someone had succeed in doing this and if he can sum up in a topic the way to do it
Thanks
Didier

Recently bought this Android 4.0.4 unit: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...tooth-GPS-Dual-Sim-Dual/613128_618618130.html
Now I want to remote control my Android within my desktop computer, as I am doing so with my WinCE device! Have noticed to do so my Android
must be ROOTED.
Can anybody tell me whether this basically is possible with my MID and if, how to do?
BTW: Failed to get AirDroid up and running (as this is reported by many others, too)
Thanks for reading.

Hello xdadevelopers Community!
This is my first post in the forums. I'd like to ask, how can I root an Alcatel One Touch Tab T10 running Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 (never rooted)? What are the risks in doing so?
I've been Googling for some time about rooting and it seems that it can be beneficial on the user, however, I've heard this term "bricking" which doesn't seem good to happen in my tablet.
My device's spec and looks can be found here: www-alcatelonetouch.com/ph/products/tablets/one_touch_t10-html (change "-" to "." as I am a new user)
I'm hoping for an immediate and helpful response.
Many thanks,
Vineen
also looking for help on this. This tab could definitely use a custom rom
Hi guys,
I'm not here to ask about how to root my phone, as I'm aware that there are heaps of resources online.
The only question I have is regarding the version of my phone, which is 'I9100TDVLSM'.
All of the guides I see have different alphabet behind the number (eg. I9100ZSMSA etc.....), and I was wondering if I would brick my phone if I follow those rooting guides
I'm using Jelly Bean version4.1.2.
Cheers
Those letters are the region code of the phone's stock ROM. Usually it's for country specific updates. Write it down in case you'll need to get the phone back to stock, but it has no importance for rooting.
Hi mates..
This is my 1st attempt to ask for help on this site, mainly cuz I've always found what I was looking for in the past without any trouble.
Anyways, I just received a brand new Huawei ascend mate 2 (Chinese version MT2-L05 running Jelly bean 4.2.2) and I honestly have no past experience with Huawei phones.. Ive been jailbreaking iphones, rooting Samsung phones for a number of years now, but never a Huawei.
Therefore, I would really appreciate it if u guys can help me root this one properly.
Thanks in advance.
