IM trying to flash to cricket. already rooted and has the Eclipse Rom.
i got to change the SPC in CDMA WS 2.7 and i confirmed that. i know to flash it you cant read from QPST so i didnt and just filled oout the write spots. In QPST when i click write it just tells me ERROR SPC_CHANGE_ENABLE_I. Or the error PPP Password something.
i tried writing the NV files with CDMA WS but no matter what i do with cdma workshop it now says "PHONE ASK FOR SPC. SPC(6 digits) required.
ANy help would be appreciated...thanks

000000 is spc code. type that in spc field of cdma workshop before write to nv
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium

yea i already know that. i found out what i was doing. using CDMA WS i was going to the SPC spot and writing it then trying to do the stuff. figured out i needed to just SEND the unlock to the phone in order to write items to the phone.
Phone is flashed over now.

Corrupted ESN. Errors when flashing ROMS. UPDATE: Phone is fixed

I upgraded my new 6800 yesterday using the directions Here.
I upgraded to Olipro 2.40, CDMA Radio 3.42.02 , and DCD Titans 3.20 ROM. The upgrade went smooth enough. I was unable to use my 1GB microSD card but I was able to use USB. When I was finished I installed the verizon carrier cab. I called *228 to program my phone. Programming failed and it failed because my ESN was now set to all zeros. I attempted to reset the ESN using CDMA workshop and the instructions in the troubleshooting section of the wiki. It failed and now CDMA workshop is unable to access my ESN at all. See my previous post. When CDMA workshop reads from the phone it pulls all the info except for the ESN and the Number fields . It says ':: Failed ::" in the phone information box on the left for both of those fields. It also gives me an error "Cant read EFS" when I try to pull up the phones setting using ESF. It is like some portions of the phone are now locked (or deleted).
I decided to try to flash back to the original stock ROM and I am unable to do so. I am unable to reflash my bootloader, the radio, or the DCD ROM. I cant do it using the microSD and when I try doing it via USB I get an Error 328, Invalid Command. My phone boots fine but I cant change any of the ROMS. I can also see all my phones programming settings using ##3424, using CDMA workshop, and QPST) but I am unable to change any of them. It is like my phone is partially locked.
My current bootloader says
TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.40.Olipro
CPLD-9
and during startup it says:
M 09
B03
P DCAAXAM-4350H
R 3.42.30
D 3.20
Since I cant access the ESN to change it, my phone is not usable. Can anyone help me reset my esn to the correct value? Any suggestions on what to try myself or do I need to send it to someone with the correct tools? or is my phone beyond repair? If you need additional information, I can provide that as well. Thanks.
I'm looking into it for you. Give me a little.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can give me.
Have you tried ##778 enter 000000 for the unlock code. Use edit. Just a thought, we may be talking about 2 different things.

I did try that but when I had EPST in edit mode, I could only change a few of the values and the ESN was not one of them.
I was able to fix my phone. I tried to re-flash my phone again back to stock but this time I tried it using my laptop. I still could not get the microSD method to work but USB did work this time. When I was finished, my esn was reset again to all zeros (previously it had been a mix of my real esn and zeros like 35782000). I ran CDMA workshop again and this time the change from all zeros to the correct ESN was successful. My phone also activated successfully using *228.

[Q] Getting the phone to work in QPST?

Hey everyone,
After finally getting my S3 I wanted to check out some stuff in QPST, but I can't seem to get the phone to be properly recognized by the program.
I was able to use the dialer code *#7284# to get into PhoneUtil but I'm not exactly sure what to do from there. It won't let me set UART to modem and I'm not sure which option to set it to under "USB," but I was able to get the computer and QPST to recognize the phone as modem-serial thingy in a COM port.
QPST sees it but a question mark shows up under the phone column and I can't see anything for it in "service programming."
Thanks in advance!
Which version or company is you're gs3 from... I used ##3424# brought me to phone utl. chose first option cdma modem, I haven't tried qpst but read somewhere that 266v is the one to use.. I will update with you in a few to let you know if I was able to connect and read phone!
Use the debug + modem setting, you can read phone and get some info but Not the akey with cdma workshop. That is obtained another way...........
Thanks, this was before I tried CDMA Workshop, which actually works.
It would be nice getting it to work in QPST too, though...

The only on I can get to recognize the Slll is QPST 2.7 Built 3.74 but when you try to read it, it stops in the middle of it and gives an error message.
cdma ws sees/reads, but i suspect the drivers arent correct because only limited functionality with that program
I was able to read the nv items 465, 466, 1192, and 1194 using efs browser in QPST 2.7 Build 378 setup on a Windows XP machine. Then I used CDMA Workshop 3.8.0 to change what I needed to change.

wouldnt that include the personal info? why didnt you backup that range before writing to it?
I know I was dumb for not doing that i did a backup on CW thinking that backup would include those files but tried to go back to that backup and still having the same issue signal goes on and off couple seconds after phone resets by itself unless i put it on airplane mode

[Q] Help flashing US Cell to Boost

I have a stock s4 from US Cell that I just got today. I have flashed a few s3's to boost and was told it was the same process. After hours of research and a few lines in command prompt I was able to get into DM mode and was able to have workshop (cracked addition) and DFS free to be able to read and right. I know my SPC and have the correct password.
I was able to successfully fix the ESN of the S4 and then I tried to write the NV item 465 and 466 it said 0 files where written successfully. When I tried to put in the info for the data nothing seems to stick in DFS including the PRL so I am kind of at a loss.
Anyone please let me know what I am doing wrong so that I can get this s4 up and running on boost?
Does anyone know if any custom rom will help? Also when picking a custom rom should I look for a sprint one since i am flashing to boost or should I look for a us cell since that is the phone type

That's the AT commands (or is it GOBI...) to set the SPC to 000000 for the S3. NEVER send commands to a different model. You have no clue what effect it'll have.
To flash to another carrier you don't need to reset the SPC. Just use the app to get your SPC and flash it as you normally would.

This code is use on CMD on DFS and it is not especially for s3.
I flashed my S4 Sprint also using this method and changed the spc to 000000 and everything is good .
By the way I discovered yesterday how to change the spc to 000000 for the note 3 sprint .
thank you for your reply , I really appreciate it
Not too sure why you'd blindly use modem commands to reset the SPC (other than when we didn't have this new tool which was months ago). I prefer to use the MSL tool. It only reads it from the device, so there's no dirty hacking involved. Just my .02

It doesnt help anyone if you dont post the working method.
On nc5d this worked for me: open USBSettings and select DM+MODEM+ADB (you can use my script here to access the menu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785328 )
Reboot phone
In DFS send your spc and password 2012112120131219
In programming tab type 000000 in SPC field and click write
click reset and wait for phone to reboot (new spc wont stick if you skip this step)
Enjoy your changed spc/msl code.

Ohhh! Yeah, I don't know of an app to write the spc, only read. I don't really find the need to write the SPC just as long as I can read it to send it.

Sorry for my late reply
Hi the method is look like the s3 and s4 unlocking mode
First you should downgrade the modem to MI3 modem
Then go to diag mode choose dm+modem+adb
Install the app msl utility.apk to know your mobile spc
Then using dfs . Put your mobile spc and click write
And then put the sprint password and click write
Then the last thing you should go to change your spc to 000000 on the dfs
Note. I found sometimes when i change the spc to 000000 it didnt stick on the first try. Sometimes i need 5 times to let the new spc to be stick with the mobile
And check using the msl utility.apk if your spc is 000000 it means you are success to unlock the mobile.
If you click on reset in dfs after writing spc you won't have to do it 5 times for it to stick.
---------- Post added at 09:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:52 PM ----------
And DON'T go downgrading your modem to do this. It is not necessary at all.
I just tested and the change sticks first try on NH7 newest software/baseband.
Just send spc and pwd first and everything will be fine.
i changed my spc to 222222 i have 4.4.2 but it does not change anything,

RS988 Lost ESN

Good afternoon XDA, today while trying to flash a buddies phone to US Cellular or rather swapping esn and meid (I know, legal grey area) I lost the esn on the phone and now it is all zeros. I was using CDMA Workshop when it happened. Now I'm just trying to get the esn back to original but I cannot find a way to get it to change. I've tried DFS, CDMA Workshop and QPST but nothing will change it. Actually I can't get QPST to recognize the diag port. Any help would be appreciated. Is there a backup of the EFS like on some other phones that I could restore? Feel free to PM me. Thank You.
Just to add some details. Everything on the phone still works so I do not believe it is a corrupt efs just somehow cdma workshop got something wrong. I wonder if I should have rooted the phone before trying, I do remember seeing a message in DFS saying something like NV item not written, read only.
