I've been trying out some of the custom roms available for my EVO and there I've been generally happy so far. One issue I'm having, though, is my Sense widgets withdrawl.
I typically only used the Clock/Weather widget and the Calendar widget. I found a couple replacements for the Clock/Weather in either HD Widgets or Beautiful Widgets (my current choice), but I have yet to find anything that resembles the Sense Calendar widget. I'm looking for something that can go 4x4 or 4x5 full screen calendar that shows the days, rather than a closeup on the agenda for a particular day.
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a replacement widget?
Thanks
Jorte and Touch Calendar are nice calendar app/widgets that I've used for years.

Plus 1 for jorte..used it a lot in the past

Thanks. Jorte is working well for me.

Pure Grid Calendar is my widget of choice for calendars. It gives more info per day than the Sense one since it shows details and not just a tick on everyday that has an event.

+1 for Jorte. But, I use its Agenda Widget and Tasks Widget to display tasks.
What's wrong with the Sense Calendar widget? Works fine on JellyBean.

Nothing wrong with it, but it can't give you this detailed view that Pure Calendar Widget can....

Screenshot?
The screen shot shows up by viewing it on the computer
No, it actually doesn't show up when viewing it on a computer. Just a red X.
updated with screen shot
can you see it now?
Yeah it's visible now.
Eerily similar to Beautiful Widgets.... which, let's be honest, started out looking exactly like SenseUI, but has evolved a bit from there.
I like it thanks man

Is the clock flip animated when the time changes?

Thanks for sharing, dling now.
It's pretty nice I must say. Although it is quite simliar to Beautiful widgets. Simple and to the point and very clean.
Thanks for sharing.
thank u so much, it looks great!
There's already a few of these on the Android Market. You want to differentiate your app; add the flip clock animation a la' HTC Sense.

first off theres only one on the market that looks this close and thats weather toggle widgets... second that app is a lot more heavy than this! i love how i can make the weather icon bring me DIRECTLY to animated weather app! Third a custom animation is VERY dependant on the launcher! ONLY the OLD JACXHERO roms for g1 and NEW SENSE 2.2 roms have the real "flip clock". also better alarm in market has a "flip clock" animation in app and Home++ launcher has flip clock widgets!
This is by far the most light weight "ALMOST PERFECT" sense style flip clock ive seen though... wierd you can still "bump" the market link to people ;-)
Nice. Thanks for sharing.

Hello all,
I've been running MIUI for a week now, and i'm really enjoying it. But the problem is i think there are missing some stuff.
MIUI Calendar
MIUI Weather (yes the dev version is fine, but my city isent in there backend)
MIUI Stopwatch/timer
So i decided to make one myself, in the MIUI Theme mindset (inspired by HTC Sense where I'm coming from)

Now the question is, what do you think about this. Is it any good for MIUI. Is it to much HTC Sense like. What should i change? Or is it awesome and go go create the widget (+ later the app itself?)
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thats really cool.
I miss some widgets from HTC Sense with custom Launchers.
So, lets go

So what device or you on.
bump to this thread. I'm definitely missing this since switching to miui
Yes please! It's the one thing that I find disappointing about the MIUI widgets. Could you make it like the LPP calendar widget with switchable month/agenda view?
Like .
I Like This . Please I Need This .
Launcher pro
turn this into a launcher pro theme and it will take off.
point is we need this kind of calender widget IN MIUI

Yes, the transparent theme for it is pretty slick. I modded it myself until they came out with the skin. Theirs looks way better, despite its little quirks.

i saw this lockscreen (refer to the picture) somewhere and i wanted to install it. i researched here in the threads and i came across JKay Deluxe. but JKay's lockscreen wasn't the same with this one since this lockscreen can have extra stuff like unread messages, calendar, etc.
can anyone identify this for me? thanks!

Looks like WidgetLocker to me but I could be wrong.

id say its a Rom with a theme not just a lock screen cos the battery icon is also different.Have a look in the dev section to see if you can pick-up some ROM screen shots to find out which one its.

99% sure its a widget locker on a custom rom, never seen a rom with customizable lock screen like the one above
That's definitely Widget Locker with the Missed It widget, a 1x1 weather widget (possibly Beautiful Widgets?), and some sort of agenda widget...
Any idea what case this SGS2 wears? Since we now about the lockscreen now

Do get really detailed and technical, the HTC sense launcher I'm assuming runs at a consistent 30fps (latest stock ota) let's say I swipe to the homescreen with the calendar widget it drops to 20-25fps. I know its nothing big but it makes me wonder if our phones are strong or not. When sense 3.0 custom roms came to the EVO 4g the fps would significantly drop when viewing the widget. I figured it lagged because of the og evo not so good hardware. Now that I try it on 3d its almost the same.

I have a small test for you to do with this....
go to the screen with your calender widget, and open up something like... your messaging app. open a message to x recipient, then push the back button all the way back to your original screen with your calender widget... any lag?
now do the same thing, but instead of using your back button, press the home button. any delay in responsivness?
No lag either way here
please look at the part of the pic circled in red. i need to get this widget. do any of you know the name of it?

Oops. Slightly embarrassed at that but in my defence it looked like one of the themes I had missed around with on BW.
I tried looking at the themes but am guessing that it is a windows widget. I suspect you won't get the exact but need to use something like BW or HD Widgets to get something close.

this is actually an android phone.. dont be mistaken for the windows-like tabes at the bottom. theyre actually not softkeys. theyre just onscreen buttons.
That can be done with a combo of 2 themes for beautiful Widgets. The widget is smaller home widget with a digital click skin and a weather skin
This is a wrong way to say that you are dreaming with a android and all you can get was a Windows....
