[Q] How to create a ftf file from rom INSIDE the mobile - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I have read all the guides on the internet (Saint google helps everytime) but I still haven't find any solution to my problem
I have noticed that Italian Stock rom of my Xperia Mini Pro is a little bit different from the Global one (2.3).
So, before downgrading (i'm at .62 and i have to downgrade to .58) to root my mobile, i wanted to back up the italian version but i have a problem
all the guides i've read say that you have to download the update by SEUS... BUT the update is ICS, i want to save 2.3 before, but this is only into my mobile. how can i make a regional ftf from a rom inside an android smartphone?
thank you for ur help!

For god sake post in q&a not in general!!!

This is not true, anyone can post in Q&A, it's only Development you can't post in till 10 posts.
Thread moved to Q&A where it should be. Please post in the correct sections in future.
Thanks
AvRS

I think its not possible. I saw someone described it its impossible with fair means. Though if i remember clearly ftf has some like key code originally from SE.
Sent straight from the Scattered Hell

FTF can only be made from the files, that were downloaded with PC Companion or Update Service.
These files were downloaded, when you updated firmware with one of these apps.
Flashtool has the option to make those files. FTF files can only include fully stock ROM. That and only that.

You seem to have one disaster after another! Why don't you - sorry, your friend - just use the phone and stay stock. It is very good as is. You are not experienced enough to do any of this.
I realise you only learn by trying, but there is a limit... you may be on a one-way road to Bricksville

He wasn't rude, he was just trying to tell that you didn't give as much info as it was needed.
About your problem, download flashtool and download .ftf (I suggest Nordic region) and flash it. Everything can be found in dev sections, or in sticky thread in general section.

Flash it with correct firmware, get the fw's from sticky thread in general section.
btw. edit thread title to reflect your problem, as current one is so generic that it can be used on 90% threads here

What is the filename of the file you are flashing to your phone?
Did flashtool reported any error or everything went well with flashing?
---------- Post added at 09:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:41 AM ----------
Why are you sending PM's, we have forum, there are smarter people here and will solve your problem faster if more of us discuss about it.
First you said that you have problems with keyboard, then you said you followed this instructions: http://theunlockr.com/2012/10/08/how-to-root-the-sony-ericsson-xperia-neo-mt15i/
On those instructions I only see how to root your phone, which includes flashing MT11i kernel.
Now hear this. If you said all this info before, you would get your solution by now.
Flashing MT11i kernel on MT15i gives that error. And I would have told you that if you gave all the info you have. And no need to go around the web for instructions, everything you need is here, if you had checked this (sticky) thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690 you would noticed that flashing only kernel cause errors.
For start flash your phone with correct fw, to solve your initial question, then go on next exhibitions
And please use forum, it will be faster
nah sorry for all the issues and problems im done forget this thread please and delete my account im not doing this.time for a new phone.peace

[Q] I'm Newbie

Hi everyone,
This is faakher. I'm from Pakistan. I'm new to android. I got a new phone Huawei Honor with Gingerbread 2.3.6. I have some questions to be asked:
1- What is root?
2-Is it safe to upgrade my os to Ice cream sandwich? (I found an update on Huawei's website)
3-If I upgrade my os to ice cream sandwich, is it possible to reinstall gingerbread 2.3.6?
Please guide me I'm a newbie in Android community.
Welcome to xda. First read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466228 rooting is when u get super powers (just like the spider guy) to do whatever u want with d phone. U can remove unwanted system apps. And it's d basic requirement to flashing roms, mods and stuff .
Yeah. Upgrading to Ics is safe.
Buddy first rule of xda is to search and read as much as u can. If you dont find it, then post a topic.
and for rom queries please find your particular device's forum in xda.
by the way, in simple way, root is gaining the access of ownership of everything. U can get high performance from ur device after rooting. Just read as much as u can.
if your device manufacturer is providing the ics update, then u can upgrade to it easily.
for reverting back to stock u have to root first then install stock rom from zip, or there are many methods, just read in your device's forum.

If i flash BTU firmware will it brick the phone?

My Ace 2 is EE branded:
Latest firmware info
GT-I8160 Galaxy Ace 2
PDA: I8160XXLL2
CSC: I8160EVRMA1
Added: 2013-0-10
(From sammobile)
If i flash a BTU firmware, then update it via Kies to jellybean, will it brick the phone or is it safe? Has anyone else done this?
Your telephone would explode because you did not used Q & A Thread, and you did not bother to use search function.
Have you ever read XDA rules? Please do. Do not open new thread for each question. Most of questions (including yours) are already answered.
I dont want to sift through 176 pages on the Q and A thread sorry.
Anyone answer please?
You can always use search function.
Most people are using it with good results. It's not that hard and I assume you are grow enough to use it.
But if you somehow cannot find it, then you can add a post on Q&A Thread your question and someone will answer you. At right upper corner you will get info at Notifications: that there is a reply.
fair point, my bad.
Please Search before create a new tread

no it wont brick your phone if done correctly(there are how-to threads about this, no further answers will follow here...)..
xda search is your friend and also is google - try to search on your own a bit and if you don't find anything, then you open a new thread -- here are more then 5mio users, someone does have your problem and there is a discusoon going on about that for sure..
no need spam more posts - read forum rules first!
yes it will brick it. So wait for kies.
Ive google searched loads for EE branded firmware and it just finds my own threads. Thats why im asking here but it keeps getting ignored so i have to keep asking cuz surely someone knows
