How to save torrent downloads in a Samba Shared Drive? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA people.
It is the first time I post here, is because I have a problem. I own a tablet with android and i want to use it to download some files with a torrent application. But there is the problem, Is any way to set the download path to a Drive in my network?, something like smb://192.168.1.99/Downloads/
I test a few torrent programs, but i didn't find what i'm looking for.
My idea is use this table like a media center and a torrent/download client, but if a can´t save the downloads to an external drive in my Samba network is useless to that.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english, is not my mother language.

If you are going to sign up for a new account with drop box, please do so through a referral link someone else posts. This will allow others to build larger drive space without paying for it. Those attaching referral links to this post, please remove your link once you have maxed out your free referral account expansion at 8GB.
My referral link: http://db.tt/gkcqDGa
(i just need a few more people and I will be maxed out.)
(in order for someone to get credit for your referral, you have to setup a new account, download the program to a new pc and register it. This is FREE for the first 2GB and up to an additional 8GB with referrals (10GB total). You get 250mb for each referral.)
Drop box creates a folder on your pc that automatically synchronizes with a virtual drive on Dropbox cloud server. Then this server file makes itself accessible through any location you log into the dropbox website or any mobile device that you have the app installed on. This is a very easy way to keep files ready on a cloud server or sideload apps. You can also store roms, backups from titanium backup and much more on this "virtual thumbdrive" type server. Another feature is sharing your account with friends. This allows your shared files to be accessed by anyone you specify. You can also make it to where they can now add or remove files from the shared folder. I personally use a folder to share family photos with my extended family. This way they can easily log in and download the images or they will automatically sync with their pc.
Thanks Albert, great idea, and great videos!

I have a question regarding installing an application from Dropbox. When you open Drobox on your NT, do you just double tap the apk file from Dropbox or do you have to actually move the file onto the NT and then open it?

I can't speak for the NT, as mine is still on its way, but on the NC, if I hold the selection I get the option to "open" the .apk. That then initiates the installer.
You do have the option to download, though, if you want to.

clicking the file will prompt you to open, or download. Requires an SD card
Dropbox is indispensable. If you don't already have it, here's my referral: http://db.tt/iYbt0DD
What a great idea! I still have a lot of referrals before I max out... any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
I definitely could not agree more.
Dropbox helps you sync your most important files to any computer/smartphone/tablet in the world. It truly is phenomenal. Dropbox can be used in combination with Titanium Backup to backup all of your apps to the cloud. You can access dropbox from your web browser. You can share folders with others (I personally find this the most helpful, I use it for classes constantly)
Here's my referral link if anyone is interested:

[Q] can someone help me with making this app?

hi i subscribed to a site that gives premium access to many file hosting sites by setting up their dns and logging in their web page... this works flawlessly on the pc but on android well it consumes a little of ram to have many tabs open and you have to open it everytime you want to download something so the question is is there a way to make an app where you put your login data and the app automatically logs in the website everytime you connect to the internet? (wifi/3g)
if yes can someone help me making it or can someone (best option beacuse i don't know a single thing about programming ) make this app for me nad the rest of android users that would like this service on their phone? thanks in advice and sorry for my english

[Q] Any app to automatically copy new files (photos) to a network drive?

Hi guys,
I'm trying to get a lil' privacy here
I know right now it's rather hard, but I'm trying to take my steps. So far setting Seacloud with https and encryption on a 2TB HDD wasn't too hard. Problem is, it doesn't upload the phone pictures to the server, at the moment. A second solution would be to have an app to sync those pictures to a network drive, which is already on Seafile, and would be then automatically backed up. This could be done via SMB or SCP/SFTP. Do you know of any apps doing this, copying any new detected file within an specifed folder to a network share?
PS: Yeah yeah, I know owncloud does this out of the box. Their apps are far better for this, but the way they store their filesystem isn't very clean IMHO, so I preferred seacloud instead (owncloud uses normal files for its storage, which can lead to issues implementing file history, while seacloud uses a database structure).

Doubt on App

Hi guys
I installed an app called TAP Media. It is a airline app that allows you to download newspapers and all the media before the flight.
When you download something from that app, it downloads pdf files. I like to collect the onboard magazines that they allow users to download for free. The thing is I try to search for the folder that contains the download pdf. I have my phone rooted and if someone could help to located the folder, I would be thankful.
Peace
Anyone please?
