Hi everyone. I bought a Hamlet branded tablet a few weeks ago. It's good so far, except for one thing: its accelerometer is really bad calibrated, like 15° off. Is there any way to re-calibrate it? Unlike my Gingerbread Galaxy Ace-i, there's no such option in the settings. Thanks to anyone who will help me.
P.S. there are no 2.3.x roms for this device, only 4.0.3 and 4.0.4.

Hello al.
I need rom (Android) for mio a701 (240x320) It's posible ?Please help me.
Cheers
Unfortunately, I don't think that's possible.
This is an old phone (launched 2005), with a screen half the resolution of the first Android phone (the G1, or HTC Dream).
It had a slower processor than the one in the G1, manufactured by Intel, with an instruction set that is unsupported for android roms, afaik.
And it only has 64MB RAM, which also is unsuitable for most Android roms, afaik.
Hi there,
has anyone testet to get an Umts Stück running? Because root is working now it would probably possible to usw an stick
would be interested in the Prime if this would work. Does anyone know the answer?
look here:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/asus-eee-pad-transformer-prime-forum/186701-prime-umts-stick-3.html
in german, but that should not be the problem
I tried it with a Vodafone Stick, but that doesn't get attached. If I get bored I'll try to compile the driver for mine
Depending on what model it is, it's possible it it will work without a kernel module. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477584
just as an update:
I couldn't get my vodafone (zte K3571-Z) to work, but my Aldi one (huawei e1550) works like a charm with the prime.

I could get my hand on these 2 devices and even cheaper than offered here (got friend in china)

http://android-sale.com/goophone-n2...-mt6589-8mp-camera-1gb-ram-android-phone.html
they both have MT6589 CPU and I would grab them easily if only ONE person from this goddamn HDC would speak proper English.
what would I want:
1. root
2. firmware flash in case of shi*
3. CWM maybe ..
I have seen that many devices with MTK have been rooted, specially those Galaxy S3 clones, even 5-6 different kinds
If anyone could at least point me in right direction, that would be nice, cause I could grab these phones for less than 140$ a piece.
thank you all in advance.
don't worry for root and firmwares (it is just maybe harder to find them in another forum/sites)
for CWM i don't know , maybe , but chances are big here too

Yeah, I rushed for no reason - ZOPO leader ZP900 is the phone to take. ZP900 already has community support, is not a clone (almost original design) , and people are giving positive feedback. these 2 are clones, and being that, they would never "live" long enough for people to take interest in them. And on top of that, UMI X2 is about to come out
Umi seems to take a life to be released!!

what exactly is causing the problemw with the bad gps on these chinese mtk6589 phones?
I see some solutions with alu foil?
please edit my topic, gdp has te be gps
tried gps optimization? it worked well when i was using a samsung galaxy in china.
It seems that it's a kernel problem in the Location.distanceTo function in the mtk6589 based phones.
Does MTK know about it?

Dear all,
I was wondering if anyone can confirm that android auto (connection to car head unit) is working correctly with the P20 lite.
I really love to keep my waze on my car head unit when I replace my iphone with the P20 lite (don't ask, company policy changed... )
Best regards,
Bart
I have been using Android Auto on my P20 Lite since july, with Kia Ceed (2017) and is working ok, sometimes but very rarely i am having issues like not properly displaying bottom menu bar, but reconnecting phone always helps.

As far as I know, the hyundai and Kia were using same radio units for some models of cars so there is a big chance it will work ok with no problems.
Works perfectly with VW Golf 7
