Just a question.
Does the Testpoint method to unlock the bootloader works on a Mini (St15i) when I'm on ICS (stock)?
Or do I need to use official method?
Thanks

Rom is not important... Just try it.l When you get an error saying ": qcReceivePacket: can't get packet start" you can not use testpoint method due to new security by Sony.
So basically I should either use official method or downgrade to GB to be sure that it works?

Yes, it still unlock
If you already unlock it, then your phone will be unlock though you change ROM or upgrade it

ROM has nothing to do with bootloader and unlocking it.

As far as I understand, you only need a rooted Phone with stock kernel and xrecovery installed. In the x10 mini pro section, there is the same ROM, so I guess that is a port fo x10 mini. It seems as if you dont have to unlock your bootloader to use it. Why dont you just try flashing it via xrecovery?
Good luck!
Please press the THANKS button if I helped
I'll do my best. Thanks for the advice, and thanks for the 'Good luck'

You're stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo, so there's always something you can still do, your phone is still responding. What did you do to get to this state?
Search before you post. You're not the first in the forums with this problem.

I couldn't flash karnel by pressing back button. But flashed a custom rom without changing karnel. How can I flash karnel?

You have to unlock your bootloader to flash a kernel.
Go back to stock first, using SUS or PC Companion, then search for instructions in unlocking your bootloader.
Thanks for response...

I first made a backup of my DRM keys, so i can go back to a locked bootloader if I want. But that's only possible if you're already rooted. You can try Bin4ry's method, but if that doesn't work you should skip this step. Then you can backup your TA partition.
Then you can unlock you're bootloader. Sony's own instructions (search for "Sony unlock bootloader") are very good.
Tnx mate

See that? LT22i is XP!
Nevermind, hadn't seen your link before :silly:
Anyway, bootloader unlock tool won't be device specific I think so if that tool supports unlocking bootloader it'll be for all 2012 Xperia atleast, and anyways, all Xperias supporting unlock have the same bootloader unlock method
