Hi I just bought the HTC One X+ and I noticed my capacitive buttons are not backlit ? Is that normal? I cant find ant settings on turning them on.
When I hold the power button for a while to restart the device they blink for a while but thats about it.
Thanks

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. When using Screen Filter to turn off the bottom softkey row backlight, the search key is still slightly illuminated. I can only guess this is light bleed from the LCD? Just wondering if anyone else had it.
Thanks.

I got it too man.

Thanks, now I don't feel alone haha. I confirmed it's the LCD by changing the brightness of the backlight in settings, and the key gets bright/dim with it. Not sure if all Evo3Ds are like this.

Ditto.
How ironic - on my 4G, I had a little bit of light my from my buttons bleeding out into my screen. Now my screen is bleeding into my buttons....

It so you can find the search button in the dark, a exclusive evo3d feature.
Has anyone else noticed a red light near the speaker (the one you put up to your ear) on the left side above the (proximity?) sensor? I have had my rezound just over 2 months and noticed it for the third time today and am courious what it is.

yep it's like an RF signal..that's the proximity sensor
Yeah it is the proximity sensor. It uses IR... sometimes when it is on full power you can see it is dim lit areas.
Also has the lught sensor in it for auto screen brightness..
Oh ok, makes sense. I was confused because I only got to see it a few times. Thanks guys.

So yes, I have very bad light bleed on my HTC Amaze. The mod intended to fix them, didn't. I tried the screen filter app and that didn't help. I just want this to go away. What can I do?

Turn off the LEDs. You can do this with AdjBrightness app.

I dont want them OFF, I just want it to be lowered. I use my phone at night...
OK... Ill turn off the LEDs. Any other options? Cuz the adjbrightness is only temporary.

The LEDs brightness aren't adjustable. So the only options is to turn them off. I believe everyone that owns a rooted amaze turns them off..lol
I use a script to turn off my LEDs. But since I'm on Energy it has the option to turn them off in Tweaks.
I just deal with the bleed. Is not like it makes it unusable. If I watch a video at night, I just turn them off.

Between adjbrightness and screen filter adjbrightness is looking like the better of the 2 just remember to go into options so it stays off.

I just got a hox+ coming from a sgs2. One of the features I miss is the quick unlock for like one second after ten screen switched off.
To clarify, if I pressed any button within a second of the screen turning off the phone went back to where I was instead of the lock screen. This is especially useful for a phone like the hox+ where the button is out of easy reach.
Does anyone have any idea how to do it?

It does that on my HOX+. If i press the power button, within a few seconds of the screen turning off. It skips the lockscreen.
