Hi guys,I recently tried one version of widget locker but with no good results, for example, when I unlock the screen it is covered by "grey rectangles" until I move the page. Is there any solution for that?
I also have a problem with widget locker. When i set it, it doesnt replace my lockscreen.
I have the wildfire with stock 2.2
I have to use the stock lockscreen to get to widget locker lockscreen...
I think the problem is in sense rom. I use rom without sense, and widgetlocker work great.
The "grey rectangles" are the "HTC Weather Animations", you can turn them off in Settings (if your weather is rainy, then you see rain drops & a windshield wiper). I agree they are a pain! Without them WL works great on my WF (not rooted, stock 2.2 ROM)
Thanks, but how can I download other kind of lockscreens? In the thread of themes there are lots of particular lockscreens that I didn't find in widgetLocker, are they using a custom theme with modified lockscreens or do they take those from any site?
You make your own lockscreen with whatever widgets you like - same as a Home screen.
You get a choice of several unlock slider styles, or you can put 'Unlock' on a custom slider. Then you make up the screen with Widgets & Sliders as you like. Only limitation I have found is that you can't put any of the HTC Sense Widgets on the lockscreen

Use adb to pull the app from the phone, replace the original .png's with the ones from the thread, or make your own, and replace then back into the apk, then push it back into your phone.
UNINSTALL it first before you push it.
Ok,got it,but need I to root the phone to run adb?I'm asking 'cause I've original froyo and I can't root my WF!
Hi guys
I'm currently running mwakious3Drom and was just wondering if there was a way to replace the Sense 3.6 notification bar with the Sense 4.0 one or Stock ICS? I find the current one is super laggy in comparison to the other two. I remember I recently used a Sense 3.6 ROM (I forget which one) where the Aroma installer allowed me to use the ICS notification bar with it, but I also remember there being certain bugs which prompted me to switch ROM.
Thanks.
Would like to get the new 4.2 lock screen with widgets..pretty nice

I've had phones before, mostly Sony devices, that made it easy to enable the stock lock screen by disabling their overlay in system/apps/. I tried that on SnowJB and it does give me the Jellybean lock screen but it has a grey bar at the bottom and the wallpaper is stuck as transparent and just shows whatever I have on the screen. Anyone know a way around this to get the stock AOSP lock screen working? Just curious if I'm missing something. I don't mind the circle unlock but I'd prefer the Jellybean lock screen.

Is it an easy task to remove the Sense lockscreen (the arc thingy) and switch to the AOSP JB lockscreen which I find much more visually pleasing?
I just find the HTC Sense lockscreen very ugly compared to the AOSP lockscreen and clock.
Failing that, has anyone developed a mod that can do this task?
I appreciate there are apps on the market, but these really just sit over the top of the Sense lockscreen, it's always there in the background, a phone reboot usually reveals the Sense lockscreen first.
I seem to recall on my old Desire HD it was easy to remove the htclockscreen apk and it would default to an AOSP style, but I am unsure if this works on Sense 4. It might be more integrated now.
Thank you.
You can do exactly what you did on the Desire HD. The only annoyance I've had is that you have to unlock the screen to answer phone calls.
What NasaGeek said is true. In addition, if you use the HTC Clock app for your alarms, a similar problem arises. It seems that the HTC lock screen is bypassed by the HTC phone and clock apps so that you can interact with them immediately when your screen turns on, but without the HTC lock screen, you do have to swipe to unlock the screen before you can take a call or snooze an alarm.
I have noticed that when I used the Android 4.2 stock clock instead of the HTC one that the alarm is no longer an issue.
Well, I tried removing the htclockscreen apk however the Sense lockscreen remains.
There is another apk called fusion, seems to relate to the lockscreen. I tried removing this and then my phone failed to boot. Had to return to a backup. This is running the Elegancia Int rom.
Thanks
