Palm swipe screenshot sound - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Where is this sound file located? I renamed both camera click and shutter sound files in the ui audio but the palm swipe still makes a sound. Every other shutter is disabled.

Yeah I did those as well...but for whatever reason in don't have the sound now..i even reset last night after changing all 4 files. Maybe it was a cache wipe or something....but after changing all 4 files last night (the same 4 files I change in every flash) the only shuttr nnoise I had was the palm swipe...weird. Its gone now though...thanks for the help.

Method for improve ringtone volume

tweak and config the Equalizer and system/phone sound volume

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2nd step:
Happy trying
what kind of instructions are these? are you asking or telling?
Telling - this is one of the rumored ways to minimise the cracking whilst making the ringtones loud enough for you to hear out of your pants pocket. I use another setting that still causes the speaker to crack (but less so than setting everything on full blast), will try this when I get back home.
(On the subject of cracking speakers, tho - I found that the Atom's LEFT speaker is usually the culprit. The RIGHT speaker never has a problem. As a test you can cover the left speaker with your finger when playing any offending MP3.
The cracking's usually worse with the Atom plugged into USB - well, if you put something THAT close to the charger, it's bound to happen methinks.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the sound card, since I get excellent results via headphones.)
does this work also in ringtones when someone call`s not in preview i have atom exec and when equalizer is enebled it doesnt work only when reciewing call.
just use ringomobile and midi tones, especially the ones from Nokia tone, (strain.mid and message1.mid) that should feed your appetite for noise

is that a serious question?
I use it to change brightness and enable/disable bluetooth when getting into my car.
oops double post.
You do know all of that is available in the drop down tray. Including brightness. Just slide your finger across the tray left and right

not if it's on auto
plus, why not use it.
Maybe the OP doesn't feel like sliding down the notification bar.
To turn on BT I can
1) Hit the button on the power widget on my home screen
or
2) slide down notificiation, hit the BT icon, which opens up the BT settings, click enable BT... then hit back to return to my homescreen.
^ apologies, it just doesn't seem "simple clean" to me.....
"simple clean" is referring to the wallpaper... not the widgets/apps setup
eww, toooo many "samsung" on this phone already. =P
I kind of like it.
+1 to frankencat.
I love the samsung aspect to this phone.

[Q] - Disable screen capture sound

I am on the ICS leak (and have been for a little over a month now)... currently on .211. I have searched and searched and cannot find the answer I am looking for... so thought I would post the question.
Is there a way to disable the sound the phone makes when you do a screen capture (PWR + VOL Dwn)? I followed the directions to disable the camera sound (outside of the camera application) but the sound still persist, even while the darn thing is on silent.
Any clues on how to disable the sound?

This is where you would start. Start by moving to SD. Don't delete. Remember what you did. If the sound doesn't exist in the system then it can't produce what isn't there.

Is that the only location where system sounds are located? When I was viewing that last night... nothing stood out as the click (except the camera click sound).
Yeah I guess going through each of em one by one is the only option. Grumble. If none of those work... I am at a loss then!
I just changed mine to the camera sound from a nexus and it changed my sound associated w my screenshot too. Maybe its just tied together. Other than silencing your phone and then taking a pic I don't know exactly how to break it from there
if you are using samsung galaxy s3, you could try silent screenshot instead. simple and cool.

Know an app that does something like this?

I want an app that does what this picture does.

I do know what app is in the picture (power widget lite) but I'm looking for an app that does only this volume slider function. Anyone know?

Your phone doesn't pop one up like this when you press the volume button?
What device are you on?
No, well, kinda. It comes up, but I can't slide it once it does, which is what I want. It's because I have gingerbread, or because I have touch wiz, Idk which one.

I found an app that does something like what I said, but is with the brightness instead of the volume. And it comes up whenever I press the volume rocker on my device, so that is a plus! Support for the app is gone though, because it hasn't been updated in 2 years. It's called Brightness Rocker incase anybody wants to know.

I finally got it to work. I am using Sense 5 rom,and you can see that there are no headphones(they broke. ).
I just edited the build.prop. I can't remember what exactly did i turn on but this is my build.
Go to the bottom of the build.prop and then compare these to yours.
Code:
htc.audio.alt.enable=1
htc.audio.hac.enable=1
htc.audio.global.state=1
htc.audio.global.profile=1
htc.audio.beats.state=1
htc.audio.beats.config=1
htc.audio.alc.enable=1
htc.audio.7k.audiorecorder=1
htc.audio.global.speaker=1
There is difference in sound,it's not distorted and it's a little louder but nothing to drastic.
