Is there an app that doesn't require root which would allow me to backup the data of an app on one device and then restore it on another without having root?
Thanks for any replies

Yes.

I think it can not be done at this time
because back app process is stealing data on root directory
so, the apps that can access must have root privileges
titanium backup is recomended
Thanks for all the replies.

My apologies, I totally messed up the title and didn't finish the post.

is it possible to uninstall amazon Kindle app on tf201 jb?
Not unless you root.
You can disable it in the apps settings. It will no longer show up with notifications to update and won't be in your app drawer.

I don't see the disable button in the settings/apps/amazon kindle. Am I looking at the wrong place? Root needed? Thanks

The official royal bank app name and the Canadian tire app. Those are two I would really like on my tablet.

Are there any trustworthy ones. The royal bank app accesses my financial information, that's not something I would want to be accessed by anyone else.

Did you tried: Settings > applications > development > allow mock telephony ?
Signed up for Redbox instant account and it won't let me use it because my device is rooted.
Is there anyway to hide that my device is rooted from the app?

There were some apps that used to do that but they don't work anymore, AFAIK now days the app has to be edited to not check for root.

Voodoo OTA Root keeper in the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper
Someone here started a thread a while back about the genie app from directv. That app wouldn't work on rooted devices but that guy fixed that. So this could probably be done, just a matter of finding someone that can do it.
Edit: Try using Hide My Root from the play store.

Maybe you need to install SuperSu from market. Which L9 model you have?
Tmobile LG Optimuis L9

Install busybox, open it and install its binaries, then open SU and check if it comes up with an error message. If not, root should work fine now
